I've had my tubes tied. I have cesarians, anyway, (my kids all had 14 1/2cm heads, and I'm a very small person - their was no way they were fitting through) so it was actually easier for me to get fixed than K. I had a cesarian, my tubes tied, and an umbilical hernia reparied in one small hour. That cesarian took a lot longer to heal from than the other two.

I just realized- I'm not going to be able to see my mom the entire time she's going through chemo- I get sick so easily, and she can't be around sick people.

Thanks! I found out today that one of my classmates will be working there too, even though he's going to be in ER and I'm going to be on the med-surg floor. Also, he started his orientation this week and he met some of the new nurses that will be working on my floor and working the night shift with me. He said they were in our age range and they seemed really cool. That makes me feel so much better.

*big hug* that is horrible. You make her happy because she is proud of her daughter. Lets hope she still is full of fighting spirit and she gets through it ok.

On a side note, is there no chance of you going to see her dressed as a doc would be in surgery? I know it sounds silly, but it could be a long shot?

Hey All
I am sorry for being absent the last few days. but wanted to thank you so ooooo much for your thoughtful words and prayers and concerns. On the good side she did not pass away, she lost her hearing in her right ear and the bullet fragmented into at least 100 peices they say , they will not go in and remove it. She is stable and talking... and now locked up in the psych ward at the hospital hopefully getting better... But thanks alot from the bottom of my heart.... I really do appriciate it...

I've a good bit to accomplish today and yet the demons of distraction have worked their magic on me yet again so here I am.

Maybe I need to consider getting a new boss.
