Is everyone in the US from this forum OK? I have been watching the ice storms and really feel for those in the thick of it, not to mention the homeless.:rose:

Oh I just saw this! I know, the ice was awful. I ran out of oil on sunday too, and I had to wait until monday to get a shipment and then prime the tank. I mean, I was living in my house, with my coat on, so I can't imagine what it was like for the folks who don't have a roof over their heads.

I salted my driveway and sidewalk three times in one day. The freezing rain on top of the ice was awful. I was more worried about the school kids - as the roads were okay, but the sidewalks were deadly.

Today it was mostly melted as it was a balmy 35 degrees F

Thank you for asking!

I'm actually somewhat north of the US ;) but we're doing okay. School's probably cancelled again tomorrow, due to the ice over the the snow (which makes it hard to fix my snowman), but I did slip out to the store for a bit this afternoon. I've got food, the kitties have food and litter, as long as I don't have to do the stupid urgent care thing again this week, we should be okay. I've heard from Bronntanas, and he's okay too.

LOL, you really need to get medical attention for that snowman of yours...what if he meets up with a hot hot hot snowlady and he hasn't got all his faculties ready to fire?!!

Thanks for your concern cat that is so sweet. :rose:

We are north of all of the ice storms, but it has maintained dangerous temperatures and windchills here. I haven't even been letting my kids wait for the bus in the morning, it is just too cold for them to be out in those temps.

'Tis OK...was going to start one of my 'check on the folks in the current trouble spot' threads, but decided to see if this worked just as well. Is good to hear you are all coping OK and not taking any chances.:rose:

I am waiting for this storm tonight.

Wondering, (as we always do here, on the southeastern-most coastal region of Massachusetts) whether it will dump any evidence of accumulation, a foot or two, or nothing at all. That's how it is here. It's almost always hit or miss.

Plus, having school aged children means I will wake extra early tomorrow morning (as if 6am isn't early enough already). I'll need time to watch the TV for any school cancellations, and to clean the ice and snow off of the car, regardless, just in case they need to go. Worse part of that is when they say, 'No school', and I am up extra early and wide awake... unable to manage to get back to sleep. On the plus end, it could mean an unplanned three day weekend. Not one to snub my nose at that.

*scratches my head*

Hmmm, I've been catching up on threads here since I've been too involved in my personal life the past 3 weeks to have time for Lit .....

WTF has happened????

I'm soooooo outta the loop ... but that's okay .... looks like the loop has been kinda nasty. :(

Not nasty, just kinda ... warped. Moebius strip-style. (Circular arguments that go nowhere except back to their beginning without ever seeing the other side. ;) )

I can't believe I'm so nervous!

It's just a phone call!

breath wenchie! BREATH!

no don't pant...it's not that kind of phone call.
