I simply don't understand people, you think you have a friend, and then he turns on you, and come with snide remarks about you in front of your other friends

On another note

I  Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Yay....finally packaged the Christmas cheer for sending homeward bound and am told it should still get there by Christmas!! Now the living room looks so much tidier without all the gifts waiting in various places to be wrapped and boxed.:)

Yeah, I'm going through it again as well. It's the only one of the Star Treks that grabbed me, perhaps because there is an overarching story line, rather than just general episodic silliness.

Or perhaps it's because my partner's in love with Dax? :D

See, that's why DS9 is my LEAST favorite series! Because it was just like a soap opera. I watched it every week for the first few seasons, up to the beginning of the Dominion War, but then if I missed a week I was completely lost so I eventually gave up. Now, when I see the episodes in syndication it's okay, because I know the Jem'Hadar are the fighters on drugs, and the Vorta are the ones with the weird faces, and I know Odo's people are the Founders, etc. But I still don't know the whole overarching story.

TNG, Voyager, and TOS are much easier to just pick up anywhere. I can catch an episode on Spike and I know exactly what's going on, no matter where in the series it was. I guess I prefer episodic TV!

(Oh, and ENT did the same thing DS9 did - started as episodic and went soap opera. But I liked it okay.)

Someone is logging off Lit soon to get ready to go meet a pretty girl. And that someone is ME! So long suckers!

I saw Dexter last night for the first time. Yes, serendipity to the person that recommended it to me yesterday. We have only had cable since Monday.

The Intro was mesmerizing, seriously you need to see that part, if nothing else. Small adrenalin surge here I can assure you.

Thanks to our 'friends' at Youtube ......

Dexter Intro Link

Not sure it translates well in Youtube format, it was smokun in widescreen.

And even if it was, I wouldn't want the job. I do not have the patience for the drama. As a poster I can ignore it, poor cat and marquis have to put up with it.

I'm heading to the Post office today....there's two huge padded envelopes to post to NZ. Hopefully the postage won't cost more than the gifts did!:rolleyes:

Actually, this is the only thing that annoys me about being a mod. I feel it would be against my duties to put anyone on ignore. I do fine at mentally ignoring the choads, but I also feel I don't have the option to do it with the technological option.

I have to say that you two (cat and bandit) are way more dedicated than I am. My brother, sister in law, and nephews are stationed (army) in Texas right now, and I just sent them money. Then N and D go and choose out the presents for my nephews with that money, and it goes under the tree before Christmas. The way I figure it, that means I can get the boys something nicer for christmas, cause I don't have to budget a crap load of money to ship it. :nana:

Actually it's the same with my sister and other brother, who live in California. I send them money, too.
