The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

I haven’t seen the sun in awhile. November sucks. Also, no holiday in Canada.
meh, it'll be xmas and then new year before you know it! that extra november holiday always feels like overkill for me :D
I thought the maps were off when someone told me Japan was about the same size as California.

And Japan is significantly larger than Great Britain, which also surprised me quite a bit.

I guess Japan being right next to the main continent of Asia gives the illusion that it’s smaller than it really is.

🤔
so I'm not alone? that's a relief to know :)

Why? It creates a special bond with your toilet.
Absolutely the worst part of tye whole experience. Just had my 1st one this year. Im at "high risk" (runs in the family) so i submitted. It was a bad experience for me, not that shitting your brains out is ever a good experience.

That and they didnt give enough sleepy drug. I was conscious most of the procedure. It was enough to make me not give a shit, but i was aware. Right after, i said "I could hear everything", they tried to explain that i was just dreaming, but i could remember their conversation, so i recited some of it. Really, i didnt know i was aware, just remembered things. The whole room lookd at me with wide eyes. Is it not common for a person to do that? I dont know, my first time.

I'm relieved I was recalling things right but embarrassed to find I'd never known about the distortions on a flat map due to the Mercator projector!

This is why I am thankful to Google for just one thing - Google Earth.

When it was a shot in my spine? Yeah I passed on that.
Watching me get a thumb in my ass? Enjoy the show!
I find that doctors are sometimes weird in front of students and say stuffy that’s off.

With me, doctors mistakes can become er visits or epi events.
Yeah I get that but joking ormaking an off color comment while they are just standing there shouldnt lead to that.

Like when the pain meds doc was talking to me about giving me a shot, I said " and you didnt even buy me dinner".

Everyone laughed..

was well worth all the cooking yesterday :) just the 5 of us around the table but that was enough: a roof over our heads, good food on the table, and people we love to share it with.

the only casualty was the fab garlic mashed potatoes... they weren't quite hot enough so I put them in the microwave to finish heating... and promptly forgot all about them till we'd all finished eating
