The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

the apple pies are okay, nice pastry, but it's not the same without granny smith or bramley apples. More american when I love me some tartness.

Sometimes; while I'm putting plastic over the windows and shrinking it with my wife's blow dryer, I feel like a failure.

There's just something inherently trashy about putting plastic over the windows. Eventually the adhesive of the tape begins to fail and the plastic gets all crinkly again. And by that point the window sill is too cold for new tape to adhere to it and it's best to just take the plastic down. But in doing so there's a new sense of failure that just seems indicative of the life I've been born into. Like; a person can try, but a failure is inevitable and the odds are just so stacked.

And so I'll leave the crinkly plastic up. Because fuck it. But then as the winter wind blows the plastic will sway in and out. And I'll watch the snow falling while drinking my coffee and I'll be all like... "yep. this is it. this is life."

This is the only post I've read in 20 years here that's made me want to take my own life.

It's just so fucking bleak.

Mind you a few of Minky Boodle's avs had the same effect.
