It’s not taking long for the fingers to get numb. I don’t miss changing motors on external power venters. Or thawing pipes in crawl space, although at least there you’re protected from the wind.

here we got tons of rain all night as it warmed up to about 36, and it seems to have slowed now to drizzle; the worst stuff thankfully avoided though the drizzle may freeze as temps fall this afternoon again below freezing.

I got a helmet.
Minus 7 today. Snow is scheduled to start around 4:00.
Our projected amounts have gone down. Looks to be about 8 inches. Which is no big deal for us.

here we got tons of rain all night as it warmed up to about 36, and it seems to have slowed now to drizzle; the worst stuff thankfully avoided though the drizzle may freeze as temps fall this afternoon again below freezing.
Yeah, reports say some of the biggest concerns are rain-slicked roads freezing thawing and re-freezing.
There are probably going to be slick spots until things really warm up / dry out.
Probably best to stay off the roads for awhile if temps are dropping to the freezing point or below.

The heated shield on my helmet is the most awesome piece of kit that I own for snowmachining. I had to open the vents on Saturday. I still carry my beaver hat and googles in case the heater dies or cable breaks. The SkiDoo grip and throttle heaters are damn nice too.I got a helmet.

Same! It warmed up enough to allow for some snow and now the temperature is dropping once again.Woo-Hoo!!!
It got up to 3 degrees above zero Fahrenheit today…
Boo-Hoo!!!
Back down to -10 with minus twenty something windchills tonight.
When we get frigid, the cold air typically builds a wall and keeps the snow out.

an overnight dusting of the white stuff and bluer skies today making things look prettier. H didn't put the car in the garage and it picked up a solid ice windshield along with the snow covering, but nothing major. The temps aren't lifting above 20 and the wind is bloody cold but the youngest cat, Digit, went out at 10 and is still outside as he's not ready to come indoors yet!
