Ahhh, i remember that feeling. Mine was 15 years ago, and its pain i never want to feel again. Sometimes when i think about it, it creeps back in. Just a little, but its still lurking.

My oldest figured out what I did awhile ago, that her dad’s dad is not his biological dad. She finally asked me why I thought that no one on that side has shown up in her genealogy and I just held my breath. The crotchety old man is dying so I’ve asked her to keep this to herself until he passes.

Now i have to research insulation for your house because they didnt blow enough in the sides so now I have ice dams..

My oldest figured out what I did awhile ago, that her dad’s dad is not his biological dad. She finally asked me why I thought that no one on that side has shown up in her genealogy and I just held my breath. The crotchety old man is dying so I’ve asked her to keep this to herself until he passes.

I had a great-grandfather who, when his wife died, married her sister. They're all buried together. Also, turns out I'm descended from Quakers.

I have more Catalan than I thought, that was the one cool result that I wasn’t expecting, the Ukrainian made sense but the Spaniard must have been someone who had kid(s) with my native family side. Interesting but it’s like watching someone else’s story until the damn new uncles show up on my doorstep (figuratively) and my poor dad has to deal.
