The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

got 35 sprouted pinto beans potted up today, so now it's a case of letting them grow on some beyond the last chance of an overnight frost before getting them into the ground. The baby toms are beginning to put out their second leaves and are actually starting to resemble tomato plants, bless 'em.

Digit, the lovely-coated, super-friendly kitten grew up at last... unfortunately (not my choice) he's intact and has now started to get into proper fights and is getting proper messed up. His coat's looking dingy and he's wearing battle scars, but his latest/worst injury is a tear on his front paw pad. Despite not even being able to put any weight on it, he's been complaining all morning that he wants out. Not. Happening. At least heal up a bit first, buster :(

so the general date given for a last frost is April 5th, with a possibility right up till April 15th. I cut the bottoms off my 1 litre fizzy water bottles I've been saving up, and now each bean has its own mini greenhouse just to protect it, really, from birds, mice and chills. If I start my pepper seeds off soon, they'll have 3 weeks to a month to grow on before putting them in the ground. *next job*

My phone, just recently, started suggesting 3 emojis to go along with my texts. My kids think ive had a stroke. Its not every day they get a bear hugging a heart, saying "I Wuv U" from me. They've all called, individually, to ask if im ok. They dont call me very often (cause i am not a phone talker), unless there is something wrong or something disastrous has happened. I guess im making new dad lore for them to talk about. I like that.
