To be fair, I have worried about this about Harris at times, but right now, that's a far less urgent concern than the derangement of Donald Trump.

I have no concerns that a Harris administration would cause alarm among our allies to the US coming to their aid and/or sharing sensitive data with us.
There is a legitimate diplomatic process for peace and stability with our enemies that, despite the sudden interest on the right to appear to be the pacifists, our leverage is weakened by with our potential president smiling, claiming besties, and wanting a pen pal.

No worries. Shit happens. I'm Canadian and we're dealing with a party that wants to oust our prime minister and trigger an election. Unfortunately, the guy ahead in the polls is a French Canadian Trumpster with a penchance for white supremacy and a conspiracy theorist to boot. With Harris as the only logical candidate I don't have to worry about Cheeto and Poilievre being butt buddies.

:love: I believe this country can be the bellwether for democracy but instead has exported hatred and lies as virtues which have led to a sudden rise in far right politicians in places where they would have been ignored and marginalized before. I will include into my readings on learning more on Pierre Poilievre.

i didn't go to the search icon but tend to type the name of the thread i'm looking for in the 'thread title' dialogue bar above the threads; mostly this gives me what i'm looking for.
