The Isolated Politics Blurt Thread I: A New Beginning

In Idaho at a REPUBLICAN town hall ( ?! WTF) a woman was beaten and dragged out by out of uniform off duty cops including the sheriff. None of them identified themselves as Nazi cops. Now a $5mil lawsuit ensues. You can tell it's a trumptard meeting, this shit don't happen at democrap town halls. trumptards should be so proud. Everything is going long swimmingly for the retard repubican'ts.

Israeli propaganda site. No thanks.

Interesting that they block all VPN connections. (403 connection denied errors) Paranoid little site insists on logging any and all IP addresses.

I like how they let you know who they are. Debka File is another one.

Most of the equipment in the lab is imported. Most of it is dull and functional, and I don't give it much thought. It's a bit specialist, so there's often a bit of a global hunt to aquire it.

I think about the Italian made stuff because it's always just so damn smooth. Like they were thinking "how can we make this feel more sexy?" It's a fricking joy to use. Seriously.

I think about the American made stuff because it breaks. All the time. Even though it's the most basic equipment I have, and you'd think it would be hard to get wrong. The design is always just not very well thought out, the designer has heard of ergonomics but decided it was too sissy, and they've taken the "louder is better!" attitude of car engine design and put it to work in small motors used in confined spaces. In short, it's shit.

Yesterday, as I improvised with an old bit of Chinese kit that had functioned for over a decade, because the American made equipment had just gone *POP* again, I pondered what the tariffs, and the resulting need for American companies to rely solely on American made equipment, would mean for businesses in America...

Poor bastards!

Back in through 2000s we had ergonomics and human factors but slowly that’s gone away.
Even though we have the American disabilities act very little accommodations in products, machinery or housing has been made.
