A running quarterback, like most running backs has a built-in expiration date which doesn't make him worth tying up the franchise long-term like the Chiefs were willing to do with Mahomes.

It’s because he’s not on the roster. Teams prefer to practice with players that are on the roster. With the loss of Aaron Rodgers, the Jets have a QB problem. Kap isn’t the answer.

Yes. Like most teams, the Jets have 2 QBs on the active roster and a QB on the practice squad. If Wilson or Boyle get injured or the coaching staff believes one of them suck worse than Simian, he can be elevated.

I’m saying Simian has signed a contract with the Jets. Kap has not. Simian is a Jet. Kap is not. That is why he is not practicing with the team.
