Well the first LDoK story is obviously closed.

World's Finest takes place when the superheroes are really starting to come out of the woodwork.

Doomsday takes place several years after the formation of the Justice League.

Legion takes places 1,000+ years after the LDoK thread(s).

Even with all that in mind, you really don't have to know too much about the previous story arcs to jump in. The key thing, however, is that there is no Superman.

Actually, I really would like to play with you someday. I mean, I can't write worth a damn in comparison, but I sort of feel a kinship. You ARE Kara, everyone knows it. I kind of am beginning to feel like I AM Jaime Reyes. More and more the character is becoming my own creation, despite the sources coming from other (very much copyrighted) material. I wonder if your Kara and my Jaime would get along?

The World's Finest and Legion thread are on a sort of hiatus again, but there's certainly a good chance to get the ball rolling on them again. For now, the only active LDoK thread is Doomsday.

Oh boy. Coming up with original super-powered characters is tough as hell though. I think I'm a decent writer but I've never been much of a character creator.

Not such a bad idea actually. I would need to get the timelines right. I don't know if you've been told, but Jaime and Kara are going to meet soon in the StarCity:HOT thread. Actually, I am hoping she saves his life and becomes a mentor. We'll see, Chas and I are talkin bout it.

You know I thought the same when I joined the Super Hero pack. But I just sort of started searching for some of the lesser recognized, not-so-famous comic heroes and picked one that I really liked. Then I have slowly been shaping his story into my own version. Over the months, I've learned more and more about the different versions of Blue Beetle, and realized that mine is entirely possible according to cannon, to my surprise. Mine is darker and more emotionally fractured, but still.

There are a whole lot of comic book characters out there that no one has really heard of, characters that have been developed and dropped, or never developed at all, despite the potential. Just take a little time and Google.
