And as Zod held Rose's beautiful hair, he smirked and laughed.
And then Rose turned to look at Zod, and she cursed him.
"Take your paws off me, you damn dirty ape!"
Zod was taken aback, stunned and astonished at the line Rose had utterred. He had heard it somewhere before......
And then the Martian Manhunter touched Zod, his mighty grip crushing the renegade general's bones. Zod turned to face J'onn, and the Manhunter's revelation was even more startling:
"Soylent Green is made of people!"
Zod's eyes went even wider. It couldn't be.....
"People!"
And as Zod held Rose's beautiful hair, he smirked and laughed.

What I really wanted him to say?
Was Superman's line from "Superman II," when Kal-El shows up at The Planet to take on Zod and his thugs.
They're like thirty stories up, and Kal's out there with arms 'cross his chest, bad-ass as All Hell, just hovering. And he says, brilliant and beautiful, he says: "General. Would you care to step outside?"
That line always slays me. I wanted J'onn to say that to Zod, that was how bad-ass that moment was. But I guess they were already outside, so that wouldn't have worked.
Ah, well.
