Most swingers have heard of a key party. But have any heard of a blind key party? Definitely an interesting addition. Was brought up a year or so ago to me.

Happy to explain the difference.

I've only been to one key party and we had to reach into the bowl of keys without looking so it was sort of "blind". Does that count as a blind key party?

Hi Liz......so you obviously know what a key party is at an upscale hotel where each willing couple puts their keycard in a hat or basket and either the men or women draw and whoever's key they pick is the room belonging to their lover for the night. Sometimes it's done with everyone present and sometimes the ladies go to their rooms first after dinner and drinks and the men are left in the hotel bar to draw. There could be any number of variations.

The blind just adds another layer.

So like the second example above, after dinner and drinks, the ladies head to their rooms while the guys hang out in the bar and maybe order another round and give the ladies a half hour or so to ger ready for the arrival of their lover. The men then draw, not revealing whose room is whose so they won't have any idea who they've selected. Here's the twist.....

So once the ladies are in their rooms either undressed or in their lingerie or whatever they choose, they draw the blinds and turn off all the lights in the room and get into bed. And everyone knows how dark hotel rooms get. When their lover arrives, he enters the room and using the light from his phone, immediately makes his way into the bathroom without being recognized to get undressed to whatever level he wants. Then he comes out, turns the bathroom light off and makes his way to the bed, perhaps needing to feel his way around or using a dim light from the phone, and gets into the bed with his lover, neither knowing who the other is, then begin their initial exploration.

Seemed like an exciting concept. Exploring each other's body with a tactile touch, maybe surmising based on body and physique who it might be, maybe several it could be, or who it's definitely not. Should be able to tell pretty quickly whether it's a lover you've been with in past swings especially once kissing begins since, as we all know, kissing varies and is very unique to each individual. Perhaps you realize who it is during lovemaking, perhaps sometime during the night when one or the other reveals themselves, or perhaps not until the morning light after a night of sex with your lover.

Thanks for the input. Glad y'all had the same reaction to the idea as I did. Definitely some added excitement and thoughts that come to mind above the normal scenarios.

I think the idea is you would eventually find out who you were with as you're spending the night together, it's just a matter of when the revelation occurs, i.e., early on, sometime during the night, or the next morning. And of course one partner may get clued in earlier on based on voice, body type, etc., whereas the other could be clueless 'til morning. Just a lot of varying factors involved.

There's actually a possibility this will be happening at some point with the right group.

We never have expectations and did not play as the couple we were planning to meet had something come up. We had a nice evening chatting and enjoyed watching a woman be teased and flogged on the Saint Andrews Cross... Then came home and ravaged each other.
