Wambach is a fucking beast. Hands down. BEAST! Like....who was the idiot who decided it would be a good idea to punch her in the face!!! I would never punch that woman lol. She answered said punch by scoring like 5 goals off head balls lol. She is the best player in the air world wide. It's amazing. But yes, the women's team has strong, strong talent. The men have been working for a long time to catch up to them. I haven't seen it happen yet. I'm fairly certain the women would dance circles around them.

Wambach is a beast, particularly in the air. She reminds me of Brian McBride, who was also a fantastic header of the ball, as well as one tough hombre.

I was a pretty...full-blooded tackler, but Wambach would be a handful. You'd have to watch those elbows, too - she can throw a mean one.

If you are lucky enough to play around age seven with them, Italions are crazy!
I can still rember the kids bringing broom handles to play... Yes thay actualy used them on there shins during warm ups. Hurts for about the first three months.

No doubt. I'm 5'10" and had a pretty good jump at one point, but I'm sure she'd blow me away.

I'm...nasty, though. I remember playing one game with a new team. I told them I was a central defender, they kind of looked at me funny because I'm not that tall for a guy who plays in the middle... I tackled one guy who was on a breakaway, cleared the ball off the line, got up with blood streaming down my leg, my shirt ripped, the guy shoved me, I shoved him back and turned back to my 'keeper with a big stupid grin on my face...this one player said, "You really are a defender, aren't you?"
