I'm not bad. I took the night off of working on the house to get a post or two written. Tomorrow I have a few things to do to try to get the water working.

How old is the place that you're working on?

It was only built in 2005, but the people who owned it last apparently stripped it after a nasty divorce, then they let it go into foreclosure and Fannie Mae ended up with it. Plus it's been unoccupied for at least a year, maybe two. The problem I'm dealing with tomorrow is a broken pvc pipe that feeds hot water out from the water heater to the house. It was broken right where it connects to the water heater. I finally got the well fixed, but when the guy turned on the water, it flowed out the top of the water heater. I had already fixed the main supply pipe into the house, which the people had sawed through with a hacksaw. I thought I'd have water when the well guy got finished, but that's when we found the other broken pipe.

You should probably double check any connections to sinks, toilets, and the like.
No telling what got thrown or kicked in a messy break up.

Yes, and especially since the house had been 'winterized', whatever that is. I'll have to be careful when I finally turn the water on after I get that last pipe (hopefully last one) fixed.

Blushes a bit...

Not so sure about that, pretty lady..

Well, I am. So there.

Wow, that's great! Look at you go. How long do you think that'll take?

It won't take long now. I have all the pieces I need already. And I found out that they just glue together, like a plastic model kit. So it's a little like tinkertoys that you glue together, then run water through it. I've learned a lot so far, just from things I've had to do on this place. I've also managed to get shocked once already while I was painting. Another stupid mistake. I had turned on the power so my sister could charge her cell phone, and then forgot I still had it on when we were painting the kitchen. One outlet was hanging out of the wall by it's wire, and I reached out to move it aside to paint around it, and must have contacted the sides where the wire connected to it. Hurt like hell, but at least I dropped it quick!

Winterizing is insulating the pipes walls may be more depending on the weather and the package offered. in your neck of the woods it also means that they may have added antifreeze to the pump if it wasn't going to be run for months
Just run the water to all the sinks for about 10 to 15 min to flush the lines.

Hiya Raven!

Oooh, did you find some pictures you liked?
And that's awesome news! Very happy to have helped, even a little bit.

How's your day been otherwise?

Well this day's barely started but it looks like it might be sunny, so that's always good. And my Friday was lovely...lots of friends and happy surprises. Can't complain at all.

smiles

And you're very welcome.

So what are the chances of seeing northern lights pics on Brits inspiration channel?

grins

Have I not added any? Well, I shall have to remedy that, won't I?

winks

I owe another post first but then will do some updating of the thread once that's written.

nods

No need, it's already coming together rather quickly.

So, how's the rest of your weekend looking? Got anything pleasant planned?

What you mean besides stalking your threads? And talking peoples ears off?
Actually I have some work work(unpaid), some house work, and hopefully some snuggle time with my lady. I may even get to watch the movie The Kings Speech.
the down side of 10 hour days not seeing your mate for 12 to 13 hours a day 8 hours of sleep and as much work around the house as I can cram in.

Time with your lady sounds awesome and I love 'The King's Speech'.

Love it!
