And haha, Raven - it's a bad habit, I know! I just keep having to go away. I seem to miss everyone while I'm gone. And glad to hear you're doing well! :) You're quite the flatterer these days, thank you. :rose:

Your welcome, and your worth it. Ive always been a flirt & a flatterer. wouldnt know how to stop if I wanted to. I just repress it alot. But after some time it starts leaking out. So I open up a bit and there you go.

Pops in and glances around, then finds himself a glass of water to sip on. Evening everyone.

Well enough, RT. Busy talking myself out of having a drink. But things went well for me today and I'm feeling pretty good. Thanks for asking.

How are you?

Welcomes a pretty lady, shivering just a bit as those teeth tease the sensitive skin along her throat...

Hey there, gorgeous..How are you?

Buried in snow.

wraps around.

I know the feeling! It's hard to turn off flirting and flattery - especially if you're like me and use them to as evasion techniques.

Hi, Noon. How are things?

Hi, Noon. How are things?

Smirks and then winks at her. You use them as evasive tactics, and I typically use flirting and teasing to ensnare. Apparently they're a double-edged sword to be wielded both ways.

And things are well, thank you Tess. It's been a better day. I hope yours was aslo.

Okay, so I posted a basic idea in the SRP inspiration thread. Got a few responses.

Some of the responses were from people who wrote adequately, but I just didn't like, for various reason. I didn't respond to them since I wouldn't lie and say the role was filled (since it's still not), and didn't want to sound insulting. Then I got a response from someone who seemed like a promising co-writer, and told her we should PM just a bit more to discuss the idea a bit further.

Haven't heard back from her, have a few more responses from potentially promising co-writers. I guess I should PM her again, since it's been a couple of days. I just don't want to seem like a pest, especially since occasionally I'll go two or three days without writing anything at all, but I feel like I owe an answer to the others who are asking if I still am looking for someone else on that idea.

I'm just talking this out to make sure my logic tracks.

I would like to offer some advice.

blushes slightly but laughs.

Well, nothing wrong with casting a net every now and then. Nice to see what one may catch. Or even purposeful traps - I'm fond of playing a long game, if I can.

Glad to hear it! It was a good day for me as well, thank you, although it's snowing. In May, for crying out loud.

Honestly, if it were me, I would let her know that you would really like to get the story going. If she doesn't respond, then go ahead and pick another co-writer. It's your idea and your thread - thus, your control. Usually I'm pretty casual about things like that, but then again, mostly people come to me with ideas. I haven't ever really posted in the inspiration thread, so I can't say what the usual conduct is... But I think it's a bit rude to keep someone waiting. I understand people get busy, but it's usually good manners to say: I can't get to this right now but I'm interested. Hopefully I'm also making sense. Finals week, still a bit fuzzy.

After years of not doing so I can still lie with the best of them. I can fool the machine. I make the choice not to. I say dont lie and if you feal that you owe the people some thing tell the truth. Tell them you are looking at several people to write with and have not made your choice yet. this way your not lieing and you give them something.

That's not a bad idea, Raven. It's still being truthful.

Speeking of insperation. Ill open this to any one in the room or learking. I started a story a lttle while back and got nothing. Thats not true. What I did get was not that helpful for the most part. I asked Brit and Thyri what they thought of the story and they were very helpful. I understand you dont hit one out of the park every time. But I realy liked the story. I could feal the story. My question is this Should I keep on writeing the story because I like it? Or let it die with grace?

Winks playfully at her, teasingly, but nods. Oh yes. I do like to cast a wide net, just to see what might end up caught in it. Sometimes you find unexpected surprises. Sometimes, I cast the net too wide for my own good. Grins at her ferally.

Thanks for the responses, sounds good to me so far. Sent another request to my potential co-writer, and am now responding to the others to explain the situation.

As chessey as this sounds. What can I say you inspire me.

Aw, thanks for the compliment Raven, but I'm sure it's just that you had a good idea. :)

bites her lip, sinks a little lower into the couch cushions, but smiles.

Yes, I can imagine. Who knows what's in the depths, after all? But must be careful - nets can break.

And you're welcome. I hope your story takes off and goes well. I'm sure it will! :rose:

Winks again, playfully, and nods agreement. They do. And probably for the best when it happens. Who knows what we'd do with a perfect net?

All this talk of nets makes me want to write a story about one. Can people use nets, really? How would that work? I need to ponder this.

And by use nets, I mean like, a sexy funtimes tool. Hm.

Actualy dear heart, I am often inspired by my friends. Friends & famely are what dives me so I owe most of my good ideas to trying to improve me to better help them. or just to be helpful.

I was enjoying speaking of them metaphorically, of course. But I'll bet if this question reached the right ears, you'd find sexy pictures of men and women using nets in creative ways.

I'm sure there's feasible ways to do it. I mean, you think about all kinds of rope bondage and shibaru type things. A net would not be all that different to put into practice.

Nods at her.

Well, I was ready to write something tonight, but have no available threads at the moment. I'm going to take off for an hour or so and play a game. Later, people.

Raven, the ONLY reason to write any story is because you enjoy writing it. Whether anyone else reads it or not should have no bearing on the enjoyment you get in writing it. I know it's always nice to have feedback, but this is our hobby, and we should be doing it for our own enjoyment most of all.

Think of it this way, if you were making one of your knives, would you stop in the middle of it because you didn't know if anyone would want to buy it when it was done? Only if you are just making them to sell to others. But if you are making them because it is your craft and your pride and your enjoyment, then you'd do it anyway.

That's my advice: Do it for yourself. Whether anyone else likes it or not, do it anyway. And in doing it, you will get better at doing it, like with anything else. Just love the process. :rose:

Nets were used as weapons to capture or trap people alive during combat in midevil times. So in theory a few adjustments could be made for "fun"

I know! But it gave me the idea. I'm gonna do something with it for my Athenaeum sometime. Thanks for the inspiration! :D

And bye!

Holey crap... Its very good to see you. Ive missed you. And thank you for the advice. looks like I need to dust it off and get back to it

This special guest appearance of the very elusive and seldom seen elf maiden has been entirely a figment of your imagination. Rumors of such a creature dwelling within nearby woodland realms have been known to circulate from time to time, but they are strictly the stuff of legends and folklore. While some individuals have reported sightings, they are usually considered to be known local characters and general crackpots. ;)

Now if anyone needs me, I'll just be hanging out over there with Bigfoot and Nessie.
