Personality Psychology. It's my one non-cumulative final, so I'm not particularly worried. It's also, luckily, not until 2. So my random bout of insomnia shouldn't affect me too greatly, other than being a pain in the ass.

I've seriously always been curious about it. It bugs me since I don't know it really worked. I tend to think of myself as typically fairly trusting of authority figures, but I suspect I'd have stopped that shit and walked out.

I actually took AP psych in high school, so a lot of what was taught this semester I'd already learned, Milgram included. And hey, I'm pretty sure most of the people that make it ito the textbook are crazy on some level, not just Skinner. Although, he was something...

Yeah, i just don't know. They say that it proved that people are willing to blindly rely on authority figures, but I think there's something else going on with that. Maybe it was people wanting to get paid and thinking they had to participate, greedily. Shrugs.

Maybe, but I think they repeated it enough to be able to correct for things like that. Plus, I doubt they were paying people enough to straight up torture others.

You also have things like the Stanford Prison Experiment, where even the psychologist let psychological abuse happen in the course of the experiment.

Awww, we took Mini Brit to a wedding last year, she and Mr Brit ended up spending a fair amount of the service outside the church...
