Laughs and slowly cuddles around a Tess, giving her more than enough time to move away or stop her if she chose to.

Adorable. Just sayin'

smiles, snuggles back, burrowing into her blanket.

If I fall asleep, it's because you're too comfortable for your own good.

Smiles softly and nuzzles a pretty cheek.

Since I am a fan of you finding rest, I'll make an effort to be as comfortable as possible.

comes in, slowly, very slowly, finds the firmest looking couch and lays gingerly on it

So, as if having an ill child at home wasn't enough fun.
Have hurt my back, haven't I?

rolls eyes and sighs

What did you do to your back, gorgeous?

Long story short, my back's gone into spasm thanks to an old injury.

smiles

It's been coming for a couple of weeks, I could tell, but it went today.

Aww. Sounds like lots of stretching, muscle relaxants, and heating pads for you. :(
I'm sorry I can't help more

Not to worry lovely. It's not the first time...won't be the last...so we have all the necessary stuff to hand to try and keep me comfortable and make it pass as quickly as possible.

smiles

And I have Lit to distract while I'm pretty much incapacitated.

slides in, happily with a bit more of a lunch break than anticipated. Amazing what a productive morning will do.

Hello, people.

Sorry to hear about your back, Brit. Nothing throws a wrench in your day like a back injury, except maybe a neck injury. :(

See, there's always a silver lining!

Glad to hear your day's gone well so far!

Yes, the day's been a bit of a pleasant surprise, so far.

Always nice (and unusual!) when it's a surprise on the good side, rather than going unexpectedly straight to hell.

You're an interesting one, Mr. Noir.

You don't simply start the day expecting it to go to hell?

Sounds like you are terribly unprepared!

chuckles.

Oh and Brit? I will gladly rub you down and up and out and any other kind of rubbing you can think of.

I should have known I could count on you!

giggles

And I forget who said it but...am sure there's a quote...something about, that in heaven, all the interesting people are missing.

I think a lot of them visit here on their way!

snickers

Ha! Well, there are those days when it catches you by surprise.

You're cruising along down the metaphorical highway, doing 60, ready to pass that tractor-trailer, and then you accidentally downshift into second, rather than fourth, and your engine leaps straight out through your hood.

That sort of day.

slams work laptop shut

Well I'm done with admin for today... finally!

Sorry to hear about your back BW, must be awful with a baby to care for as well. :(

If it doesn't start looking like spring instead of an arctic winter I'm seriously going to hibernate.

And I'm missing the boyf... been far too long again already.

like it isn't as soon as he's walked away

Luckily for me Mr Brit is a dab hand with the little ladies in the house, so it could be a lot worse!

smiles

And about your boyf? That's so sweet.

smiles even wider

I don't know where you are, seven, but the weather is currently reminding me where I live that it's still just late February...and very much still winter. Today's actually not too bad, but this is easily supposed to be the best day of the week, and it still ain't warm.

At least March is coming. Which means that April is coming, and then May, and then June, and then I'll be bitching about the heat and humidity.

We've only been dating a couple of months, so we're still at the stage where we're nauseating everyone within radius :)

And it's great.

And I saw him on Saturday.

And somehow I just can't see him enough.

How old are your little ladies? Mr Brit sounds like he's well trained. ;)

Yeah I know, still early days yet.

And I too will be online complaining when summer hits and the weather gets hot.

But it's just been bitterly cold the last week or so and we've even had snow, which is just taking the piss as far as I'm concerned. Particularly on nights when I haven't got a boyf shaped hottie-bottle in my bed.

Awww....that stage is lovely to be in.

sighs

And the mini witches are still quite small. The eldest is 2 and a half and the youngest is 3 months. Fortunately Mr Brit's learnt well.

laughs

Wow, those are real little handfuls.

What's your old injury? Is there nothing that can be done to correct things?

One of my bosses pulled his back lifting beer barrels. He had a trapped nerve and sciatica, which was very painful. He saw an osteopath weekly for a couple of months, now monthly and swears by her magic hands.
