The Lyrics

Elizaveta – Meant

If silence can heal,
I know it can kill.
I feel it's caress.

Consider your lies
In light of what's real.
Yea-e-e, I could care less.

Forget all you know,
Just get up and go.
Save all you can.
Don't want you to see
When pain overflows
Yeah, you're not my friend.

I still think that we were meant to be
Ooh-oh, lie to me now.
I still dream that you were meant for me
Yeah, why would you doubt?

I don't wanna know,
No, I don't wanna hear
Hey, your smart alibis

I don't wanna feel
This heartache and fear
I don't wanna wait (anymore)
I don't want to be nice

And I still think that we were meant to be
(We were destined to be)
Ooh-oh, lie to me now.
I still dream that you were meant for me
(I was made for your love)
Hey, why would you doubt?

I'm not asking for sympathy (oh)
Cause I know what you need me to say
Thanks for what you have given me (Take it back)
I will always remember you watching me walking away, hey

(I remember all)
Aren't you loving watching me now?
(I remember all)

I still think that we were meant to be
(We were destined to be)
Ooh-oh, lie to me now.
I still dream that you were meant for me
(I remember all)
Yeah, why would you doubt?

Consider your lies
In light of what's real.
Yeah, I could care less.

That Old Feeling - Frank Sinatra

I saw you last night and got that old feeling
When you came in sight I got that old feeling
The moment that you danced by I felt a thrill
And when you caught my eye my heart stood still
Once again I seemed to feel that old yearning
And I knew the spark of love was still burning
There'll be no new romance for me, it's foolish to start
For that old feeling, is still in my heart
There'll be no new romance for me, it's foolish to start
For that old feeling, is still in my heart

My heart felt like a shattered glass in an acid bath
I felt like one of those flattened ants
You find on a crazy path

Bruce Springsteen - Long Time Comin'

I'm riding hard carrying a cache of roses
And a fresh map that I made
Tonight I'm gonna get birth naked and bury my old soul
And dance on it's grave
And dance on it's grave

Lyrics

Where do you go when you've somewhere to run
But the time isn't right and there's things to be done
And you're trapped half-way up, you don't want to go back
So you keep going on - compromising the land

And you see the green fields as you travel on by
And you look at the things you'd forgotten to try
And you wish you were young and you wish you were old
For the songs always sung and the stories been told

And you thought you were different but what did it mean
For you tricked yourself trying - life's still unseen
As it is, as it was, as it always will be
Will you find out at all what it is to be free

See it never was easy to live with a head
So I kept to the back room and I live there instead
What comes from the front-room is only for "Friends"
I have a bay window but that's where it ends

And it's here I see pictures and my madness is clear
And there's no longer logic so therefore no fear
And I've always said, with uncontrollable light
Sometimes when I've written a song - it's alright...

Back to You - Brett Anderson

You flick your mane and click your fingers again
And from your back you call my name
And like a fool I run right back to you
And dance along to your latest tune

And when the lands slides
And when the planets die
That's when I come back
When I come back to you

And when the sun cools
And when the stars fall
That's when I come back
When I come back to you

You roll those eyes and trap my hand in your thighs
It's slavery but in disguise
And like a fool I run right back to you
There's nothing else that I can do

And when the pigs fly
And when the planets die
That's when I come back
When I come back to you

And when the sun cools
And when the stars fall
That's when I come back
When I come back to you

And when the war machines
Rust eternally
That's when I come back
When I come back to you

And when your heart bleeds
For a love that's dead like me
That's when I come back
When I come back to you

One of my favorite tunes about sex

Face Down by Monster Magnet

We'll have a good time baby
Well it's a Planet of the Apes and a Third Eye kinda thing
Well, let's all lay down and dig through the ground
To find the holy ride that'll make your thing go ding
What Mother Earth gives back to man
Is running through my bones
But now's the time for the beautiful exchange honey
And you ain't gonna do it all alone

When the sun blocks the moon and the stars go down
I'll be floating
Squirming and laughing
Next position
That begins face down

They're gonna miss their children
I mean I'm still alive but I'm almost gone
But now stands for everything
So get your ass down on the playing ground
Baby will you slide me through the world
I ain't working for the man, I'm an allosaurus, baby
Well, I'm sucking up more karma than I need
So have supernova on me

When the sun blocks the moon and the stars go down
I'll be floating
Squirming and laughing
Next position
That begins face down
When the sun blocks the moon and the stars go down
When the sun blocks the moon and the stars go down
When the sun blocks the moon and the stars go down

Before there was Nirvana, , there was a Seattle music scene in which Mother Love Bone was expected to take Seattle bands to the promised land. Sadly, front man Andrew Wood proved to be a pioneer of very dark Seattle music scene trend..he died early by heroin overdose. His MLB bandmates, stone and Jeff went on to form Pearl Jam and become part of four bands that launched the grunge movement. MLB was nothing like grunge, Andrew called their music "love rock"

Captain Hi-Top

I am magnificent!

I'm the instigator of the me generation
The official seminator of the female population baby, yeah

Scoff at my rivals, cause they ain't cool
And I re-wrote the Bible, and I made my own rules

Captain Hi-Top the love commander yeah yeah yeah
I'm the ego star forever after
Captain Hi-Top the love commander
Hide your mom, control your sister

I'm the hip-hop surgeon of the mindless eye
I said - Take me babe, in between your pretty pretty thighs
And these stories of my image ain't up to par
I'll tell you what I'll do
I slid the beast to Farah, saying babe, babe, babe, babe, babe, babe, babe, babe
Baby, I'm a star

Captain Hi-Top the love commander baby
I'm the ego star forever after
I'm talkin' 'bout Captain Hi-Top the love commander
Hide your mom, control your sister

Captain Hi-Top the love commander yeah yeah
I'm the ego star forever after
Oh Captain Hi-Top the love commander
Hide your mom, control your sister
Yeah yeah yeah
Captain Hi-Top the love commander
Hide your mom, control your sister

Terminal

Terminal— Hamasaki Ayumi (translated)

Hey, what left such a deep scar on you?
Hey, why do you look like you’ve witnessed despair?

Ahh, if only you’d smile for me, I’ll give you everything

If you wish, I can turn into the devil for you
If you wish, I don’t need an angel

For you, for you…

If you wish, I can turn into the devil for you
If you wish, I don’t need an angel

"Adore" - Alex Parks

Lose me, do you see me?
Round and round once more
I do adore you

Are you beneath me? I see you
Release me, pain's a bore
But you live inside me
Feel it once again

When I know you're hurting know your selfish ways
Wont you risk yourself for me, cos I'm an unwanted release
Release,
Are you
Feeling once again

You bruised me, I felt you leave
Not my fault that I fell so hard onto you
Did I scare you?
Are you my phantom girl?
When I see you I ache
When I feel you await
Have u heard I adore you

I feel it once again
And I know you're hurting, know your selfish way
Won't you risk yourself for me? Cos I'm an unwanted release
Release
Are you

Are you?
Are you?
Living safe and sound
Try and lay you down
Cos i can't get around
I feel it once again
And I know you're hurting know your selfish way
Wont you risk yourself for me cos I'm an unwanted release
Release
Are you?

Lose me,
Do you,
See me?

"Working For The Man" -
Roy Orbison

Hey now you better listen to me everyone of you
We got a lotta, lotta, lotta, lotta work to do
Forget about your woman and that water can
Today were working for the man
Well pick up your feet
We've got a deadline to meet
I'm gonna see you make it on time
Don't relax
I want elbows and backs
I want to see everybody from behind
'Cause your working for the man working for the man
You gotta make him a hand when you're working for the man
So I'm pickin' 'em up and I'm laying 'em down
I believe he's gonna work me into the ground
I pull to the left, I heave to the right
I want to kill him but it wouldn't be right
'Cause I'm working for the man, working for the man
I gotta make him a hand when you're working for the man
Well the boss man's daughter sneaks me water
Every time her daddy's down the line
She says meet me tonight love a me right
And everything is gonna be fine
So I slave all day without much pay
And I'm just biding my time
'Cause the company and the daughter, you see
They're both gonna be all mine
Yah I'm gonna be the man, I'm gonna be the man
Gotta make him a hand if I'm gonna be the man
Working for the man, working for the man
I gotta make him a hand
Working for the man

An american easter refrain

Richie Havens - Morning, Morning

Morning, Morning
Morning, morning
Feel so lonesome in the morning
Morning, morning
Morning brings me grief

Sunshine, sunshine,
Sunshine left upon my face
And the secret of the shining
Puts me in my running place

Evening, evening
Feel so lonesome in the evening
Evening, evening
Evening brings me grief

Moonshine, moonshine
Moonshine dots the hills with grace
And the glory of the shining
Seems to break my simple pace

Nighttime, nighttime
Feel so lonesome in the nighttime
Nighttime, nighttime
Does not bring me to relief

Starshine, starshine
Chills the moon upon my cheek
Starshine, starshine
Darling kiss me as I leave

The Glamorous Life
Sheila E.

She wears a long fur coat of mink
Even in the summer time
Everybody knows from the coy little wink
The girl's got a lot on her mind

She's got big thoughts, big dreams
And a big brown Mercedes sedan
What I think this girl
She really wants, to be in love with a man

She wants to lead the glamorous life
She don't need a man's touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain't much

She saw him standing in the section marked
If you have to ask you can't afford it lingerie
She threw him bread and said make me scream
In the dark what could he say

Boys with small talk and small minds
Really don't impress me in bed
She said I need a man's man baby
Diamonds and furs
Love would only conquer my head

She wants to lead the glamorous life
She don't need a man's touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain't much

They made haste in the brown sedan
They drove to fifty five Secret street
They made love and by the seventh wave
She knew she had a problem
She thought real love is real scary
Money only pays the rent
Love is forever that's all your life
Love is heaven sent it's glamorous, lead

The glamorous life
She don't need a man's touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain't much, it ain't much

She wants to lead the glamorous life
She don't need a man's touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain't much, it ain't much

Lead, the glamorous life
She don't need a man's touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life

Tonight the Streets Are Ours
Richard Hawley

Do you know why you've got feelings in your heart
Don't let fear of feeling fool you
What you see sets you apart
And there's nothing here to bind you,
It's no way for life to start

But do you know that
Tonight, the streets are ours
Tonight, the streets are ours
And these lights in our hearts they tell no lies

Those people, they got nothing in their souls
And they make our TVs blind us
From our vision and our goals
Oh the trigger of time it tricks you
So you have no way to grow

But do you know that
Tonight, the streets are ours
Tonight, the streets are ours
These lights in our hearts, they tell no lies

And no one else can haunt me
The way that you can haunt me
I need to know you want me
I couldn't be without you
And the light that shines around you
No, nothing ever mattered more than not doubting
But tonight the streets are ours

Do you know how to kill loneliness at last
Oh there's so much there to heal dear
And make tears things of the past

But do you know that
Tonight, the streets are ours
Tonight, the streets are ours
These lights in our street are ours
Tonight, the streets are ours
And these lights in our hearts they tell no lies

The Way We Make a Broken Heart
Rosanne Cash

Just one more kiss she'll have to miss this night with you
Now you're guilty of this secret love as I am too
You'll get used to telling lies feeling sorry when she cries
Now that the strings aren't attached you'll catch on we've done our part
Oh this is the way we make a broken heart

Lesson number one we've just begun to hurt her so
And with lesson two she'll long for you when lights are low
And when we get to lesson three when she gets down on her knees
And begs you to stop at the door just before she comes apart
Oh this is the way we make a broken heart

Now we've made a trail of tears for her to follow
And we've thought of every line that she might swallow

And with lesson four there will be no more for her to bear
And on some dark night we'll dim the lights on this affair
Then she'll find somebody new and he'll likely hurt her too
Cause there must be millions just like you and me practiced in the art
Oh and this is the way we make a broken heart
Oh and this is the way we make a broken heart

Ay yi, yi, yi, yi, yi, yi, yi
This is the way we make a broken heart
Ay yi, yi, yi, yi, yi, yi, yi
This is the way, this is the way, this is the way, this is the way
Oh this is the way we make a broken heart

She's A Beauty - The Tubes

Step right up and don't be shy
Because you will not believe your eyes
She's right here behind the glass
And you're gonna like her
'Cause she's got class
You can look inside another world
You get to talk to a pretty girl
She's everything you dream about
But don't fall in love

She's a beauty
She's one in a million girls
She's a beauty
Why would I lie?
Why would I lie?

You can say anything you like
But you can't touch the merchandise
She'll give you every penny's worth
But it will cost you a dollar first
You can step outside your little world
You can talk to a pretty girl
She's everything you dream about
But don't fall in love

She's a beauty
She's one in a million girls
One in a million girls
Why would I lie?
Why would I lie?
But don't fall in love
'Cause if you do, you'll find out she don't love you
She's one in a million girls
One in a million girls
Why would I lie?
Now, why would I lie?

she's a beauty
(She's one in a million girls) one in a million girls
(Why would I lie?) now why would I lie?
'cause if you do, you'll find out she don't love you
(She's one in a million girls) one in a million girls
(Why would I lie?) why would I lie?

Hell Hound on My Trail

I got to keep movin', I got to keep movin'
Blues fallin' down like hail, blues fallin' down like hail
Hmmm-mmm, blues fallin' down like hail, blues fallin' down like hail

And the days keeps on worryin' me
There's a hellhound on my trail, hellhound on my trail
Hellhound on my trail

If today was Christmas Eve, if today was Christmas Eve
And tomorrow was Christmas Day
If today was Christmas Eve, and tomorrow was Christmas Day
Aw, wouldn't we have a time, baby?

All I would need my little sweet rider just
To pass the time away, huh-huh
To pass the time away

You sprinkled hot foot powder, mmm
Mmm, around my door, all around my door
You sprinkled hot foot powder
All around your daddy's door, hmm-hmm-hmm

It keep me with ramblin' mind, rider
Every old place I go, every old place I go

I can tell the wind is risin', the leaves tremblin' on the tree
Tremblin' on the tree
I can tell the wind is risin', leaves tremblin' on the tree
Hmm-hmm hmm-mmm

All I need's my little sweet woman
And to keep my company, hey, hey, hey
My company

Aldous Harding - Horizon

Let me put the water in the bowl
For your wounds, babe
Let me fill you up with the fingers of love
You can’t lose babe
When you watch me play, does it feel bad, darlin’
When they choose me?
Say again, this place
Say again, this place
I broke my neck
Dancing to the edge of the world, babe
My mouth is wet, don’t you forget it
Don’t you lose me
Here is your princess
And here is your horizon
Here is your princess
And here is your horizon
I’ve gotta scratch it down, I never could amount
That’s it, babe
And now the sugar’s run out
And I don’t know what to say
Say again, this place
Say again, this place
Here is your princess
And here is your horizon
Here is your princess
And here is your horizon
And every now and then, I think about
When you’ll die, babe
There’s a fall in my head
It floods what you said into the room, babe
I don’t belong in the desert
Yes, I can see it, take me home, babe
Say again, this place
Say again, this place
Here is your princess
And here is your horizon
Here is your princess
And here is your horizon
Here is your princess
And here is your horizon
Here is your princess
And here is your horizon

We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off
Jermaine Stewart

Not a word, from your lips
You just took for granted that I want to skinny dip.
A quick hit, that's your game.
But I'm not a piece of meat, stimulate my brain.

Night is young, so are we.
Let's get to know each other better, slow & easily.
Take my hand, let's hit the floor.
Shake our bodies to the music.
Maybe then you'll score.

So come on baby, won't you show some class
Why you want to move so fast.
We don't have to take our clothes off

To have a good time
Oh no
We could dance & party all night
And drink some cherry wine

Uh huh
We don't have to take our clothes off
To have a good time
Oh no

We could dance and party all night (all night)
And drink some cherry wine
Uh huh
Na na na na na na na

Just slow down if you want me
A man wants to be approached cool and romantically
I've got needs
Just like you

Give me conversation, good
Vibrations through and through
So come on baby, won't you show some class
Why you want to move so fast

We don't have to take our clothes off
To have a good time
Oh no
We could dance and party all night (all night)

And drink some cherry wine
Uh huh
Na na na na na na

Shanghai
Doris Day

Who's gonna kiss me
Who's gonna thrill me
Who's gonna hold me tight
Tonight

Why did I tell you I was goin' to Shanghai
I want to be with you tonight
Why did I holler I was goin' to Shanghai
I want to be with you tonight
It was just a little misunderstanding
That a kiss on the cheek could patch
I need you so badly
I'd gladly start all over from scratch

Oh, why did I tell you it was bye-bye for Shanghai
I'm even allergic to rice
Why don't you stop me when I talk about Shanghai
It's just a lover's device

Now who's gonna kiss me
Who's gonna thrill me
Who's gonna hold me tight

I'm right around the corner in the phone booth
And I want to be with you tonight

Now why did I tell you it was bye-bye for Shanghai
I'm even allergic to rice
Why don't you stop me when I talk about Shanghai
It's just a lovers device

Now who's gonna kiss me
Who's gonna thrill me
Who's gonna hold me tight

I'm right around the corner in the phone booth
And I want to be with you tonight

Who-oo-oo-oo's gonna kiss me
Who's gonna thrill me
Who's gonna hold me tight

I'm right around the corner in the phone booth
And I want to
Yes I want to
I want to be with you tonight.

in honor of memorial day...

Fortunate Son
Creedence Clearwater Revival

Some folks are born made to wave the flag
Ooh, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief"
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no

Yeah!
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no

Some folks inherit star spangled eyes
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord
And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer More! more! more! yoh

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no military son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, one

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no no no
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate son, no no no

Forgive my ugly heart

Forgive Me Friend by Smith and Thell
Songwriters: Maria Jane Smith / Victor Thell

I, I've been keeping secrets from you dear
There's things of me are scared and you're my fear
The crack goes in the ground
And you, you've been coming closer to the edge
Wondering what goes on in my head
And so I shut you out
And I guess that we don't need to be falling apart
But you will always have a special place in my heart
I never wanted this to end, can you forgive me friend?
'Cause I fell in the hole, in the hole, in the hole
My heart was turning cold, turning cold, turning cold
I never wanted this to end, can you forgive me friend?
And I, I promised you that we would never change
That you and me would always stay the same
How I let you down
And I guess that we don't need to be falling apart
But you will always have a special place in my heart
I never wanted this to end, can you forgive me friend?
'Cause I fell in the hole, in the hole, in the hole
My heart was turning cold, turning cold, turning cold
I never wanted this to end, can you forgive me friend? (Hey)
So can, can you forgive me friend?
Can you forgive me friend for breaking us apart?
'Cause in the end, I didn't want this to end
Can you forgive me friend? Forgive my ugly heart
(Hey)

FUCK ALL THE PERFECT PEOPLE - Chip Taylor & The New Ukrainians

To be or not to be
To free or not to free
To crawl or not to crawl
Fuck all those perfect people!

To sleep or not to sleep
To creep or not to creep
And some can't remember, what others recall
Fuck all those perfect people!

Sleepy eyes, waltzing through
No I'm not talking about you!

To stand or not to stand
To plan or not to plan
To store or not to store
Fuck all those perfect people!

To drink or not to drink
To think or not to think
Some choose to dismember, you're rising your thoughts
And fuck all those perfect people!

Sleepy eyes, waltzing through
No I, I'm talking about you!

To sing or not to sing
To swing or not to swing
(Hell) He fills up the silence like a choke on the wall
Fuck all those perfect people!

To pray or not to pray
To sway or not to sway
Jesus died for something - or nothing at all.
Fuck all those perfect people!

Sleepy eyes, waltzing through
No I, I'm talking about you!

Anthem
Leonard Cohen

The birds they sang
At the break of day
Start again
I heard them say
Don't dwell on what
Has passed away
Or what is yet to be
Ah the wars they will
Be fought again
The holy dove
She will be caught again
Bought and sold
And bought again
The dove is never free

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in

We asked for signs
The signs were sent
The birth betrayed
The marriage spent
Yeah the widowhood
Of every government
Signs for all to see

I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud
And they're going to hear from me

Ring the bells that still can ring

You can add up the parts
But you won't have the sum
You can strike up the march
There is no drum
Every heart, every heart
To love will come
But like a refugee

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in
That's how the light gets in
That's how the light gets in
