Sean finished his beer and stepped back in from the porch to grab another. He didn't know how many he'd had, but it wasn't as much as his stepmother, that's for certain.

Sean was in his senior year, only a few months from graduating, and he couldn't wait. For the last 4 years he'd been battling with his fathers new wife, and he was about at his limit. He'd never got along with his father, so it wasn't a surprise that the old man had married someone equally difficult.

It did, however, amaze Sean that such an amazingly attractive woman could grate on him so severely. It probably didn't help that she was about 20 years younger than his father, and about 15 years older than Sean. He'd always assumed she'd married his dad for money, but she hadn't made a move to spend it all yet. She had, however, taken up drinking now that his father was out of town so often. She'd said before that she was a recovering alcoholic, and that she'd made some "bad decisions" while she was drinking, so it surprised Sean when she had started up. He hadnt noticed anything too bad yet, aside from the fact that she'd go off on tirades about how she was dissatisfied with his father, when she had a few drinks.

As he shut the fridge door, he heard her shout from the other room to him.

Amanda, an attractive woman, age 33, had married an older man out of love some years ago. Sure he had plenty of money, but it wasn't money she was after. Especially not after having met his son. Before she had met her husband she had been a recovering alcoholic. She admited to the bad mistakes she'd made while drinking. She'd done the whole, 12 Steps things. But now after all this time, things had become....tense between her husband and herself. Especially since after learning why her husband went out of 'town' so much. She'd taken up drinking again to try and dull the pain of the truth. Unforunately, everything that was happening, was leaving her sexual needs unsatisfied. Her husband no longer craved her. No longer cared for her needs and it frustrated her mroe than anything. Currently, she would be yelling at him. The two were fighting again. As a door slames, she sighs and runs her fingers through her long brown hair. Amanda had heard the door from the porch open and close and knew it had to be Sean. But she needed to make sure. "Sean? That you?" She calls.

Sean poked his head around the corner from the kitchen shouting back.

"Yeah it's me Amanda. What's up?"

He had really hoped she would be passed out drunk by now. They'd been fighting more than usual lately, and he could only assume it was because of his father's trips. Almost every night this week, he'd arrived home to find Amanda knocked out on the couch with a bottle on the coffee table, usually almost empty.

More often than not, he'd wake her up and tell her to go to bed, thereby sparking off a big fight about nothing. As much as all this frustrated him, Sean was still blown away by how good she still looked, even when she was completely trashed.

Amanda hadn't touched a beer yet today. Or rather tonight. So far. Leaving the stairway, she walks into the kitchen and leans against the doorway. Looking at Sean. She couldn't deny how amazingly hot her step-son was, but the only thing keeping her on a moral straight path, was attempting to be loyal to that cheating bastard she called her husband. She also wanted to make an effort to stop drinking. "So how much did you hear this time?" She asked. Referring to their arguing. Like any other mother, she hated her son always having to hear them fight.

Sean sighed, raking a hand through his hair and looking up at Amanda. He hated how defeated she looked all the time now. As much as they fought, he still felt bad about what was going on between her and his father.

He tucked his hands in his pockets and shrugged his broad shoulders, smiling at her the best he could

"Not much Amanda...You alright? Need anything?"

"As alright as I can be lately..." Was Amanda's response. She looked away with her arms still folded over her chest. "I suppose a massage wouldn't hurt but..." She shrugged her shoulders and eyed the frige for a moment then shook her head and looked away. If she could go the whole day and night without one drink....she could very well get herself clean of it again. "I'm sorry you have to keep hearing us fight."

Sean took a long pull from his beer and set it down on the counter, giving Amanda a grin as he did.

"You know, it's not that big of a deal. Most married couples have problems. I may be your stepson, but I'm not a moron. I know how things work."

Sean reached into the fridge and grabbed another beer, flipping the top off with a flourish and reverently extending it out for her

"Here. Why don't you have a beer with me out by the pool, forget who we are for just a bit, and you ca confess to me all of your woes."

Sean saw the hesitation in her eyes and arched a brow at her, his lip shifting in a smirk.

"Might make ya feel better...Hm?"

Amanda shook her head and pushed the beer back towards him. Knowing it would lead them to no where good out there by the pool with the two of them drinking. Following him out to the pool, she sat down in one of the lounge chairs and leaned back. Her eyes closing with a sigh. "I really do love you your father but he's been distancing himself lately and I've been so se-unsatisfied with a part of our marriage. I can't help but wonder if he's...sleeping with anyone on these 'trips' of his." She said as she folded her arms over her chest and glanced to Sean. God he was hot. More than hot. Handsome. It was already tempting enough to not wanna kiss him here and now. He was her step-son. It would be wrong, wouldn't it? And yet...why did it feel like it would be oh so right for them to be together?
