We've been over this elsewhere, Dump: there is ZERO evidence that Republican incumbents consistently do better and Democrats consistently do worse in recent history. I don't know where you were in 2003, but in the circles I ran in, absolutely no one was certain Bush would be defeated the next year. But that's beside the point. All three of those elections were quite different from whatever 2020 will be. (I did, incidentally, know people in 1991 who were certain Bush Sr would win in a landslide the next year, and in 1995 who thought Clinton would be crushed. It goes both ways, no matter how much you ignore the parts you don't like.)

The Democratic Party's presidential debates have shown the American people just how BIZARRE that party has become in the age of Trump! Wednesday night, especially, turned into an enormous PANDER-FEST to see which candidate could offer the American people the most free stuff in exchange for their votes!

By evening's end, Mark Penn (of 'The Hill') says it was like being a prize contestant on "The Price is Right," with every viewer walking away with a $1,000-a-month check (an EXTRA thousand-dollars if female), untold reparations (if African American), Medicare from birth covering everything you’ll ever need until death, and the right to cross the border without any real penalty (but ONLY if you're from another country). Prosecuting criminals of any kind was generally frowned upon, while white privilege made non-whites virtually immune from arrest by police (who were all painted as racist villains). And there will be no more pointless wars, carbon emissions will be zero by 2030, and in 10 years the government will run all health care.

While these same candidates expressed outrage at President Trump for tweeting that Baltimore was a rat-infested mess, they ALL seemed to feel that our entire country was in far worse shape than that Maryland oasis. America, it seems, is NOT a land of full employment, rising wages and decreased poverty. It’s NOT a country in which 90 percent have health insurance, almost everyone owns a smartphone, and 64 percent own their own home. No, America is a racist, misogynistic country dominated by fat cats and big corporations sucking the life out of us all. According to these Democratic Party candidates, we all live in a dark place - and, unless we vote them into office with their nation-saving programs costing a mere $30 trillion, America will continue to remain adrift.

Nearly EVERY Democrat running wants President Trump impeached, but none of them called out a specific act that the president did to merit impeachment. They just said that former special counsel Robert Mueller outlined 10 reasons and left it at that. Russia collusion as a theory has been abandoned.

Democrats used to be the party of protectionism, working to stop the theft of jobs by low-wage earners in places like China. But ALL opposed the Trump tariffs while pledging to have labor and environmentalists at the table for future trade deals, whatever that means.

THIS is why President Trump won and continues to win. The modern Democratic Party is completely rudderless. Over two-thirds of Democrats DON'T particularly want Joe Biden as their candidate, but what other choice do they have? Joe is going to get landslided by Trump in 2020!
