D'oh! I could have done the same. Thanks. I hope your Spring eventually arrives up there.

For anyone who's now curious: here's a link to one of his later screed-based threads: What does a dom risk?

Spring was 2 days a couple of weeks ago. It's summer now. :(

Really Yank? You had to post that? It was kind of peaceful without him around. Too boring for you?

It was only funny for the first page or two, then ~smile~ went and got petulant and ruined things, but there were some great posts. :)

Okay, this was riotous! My favorite comment on recognizing a batshit insane submissive was: A name with "velvet" or "darkness" in it is a good start. :D

As I said, riotous, until several of the comments started sounding a little too familiar. By page three it was all to painfully clear... I am a Batshit Crazy Submissive!

Dang it!

Oh wow. There's really been a time when I've posted things that aren't cooking related.

The point at which the tears started rolling, was "BPD 101". I find humor in the darkest things sometimes. lol

Quoted just because.

I note that, despite warnings that such would never happen, I actually did provide a real-life example.

I am in Memphis, herding two ignorant, redneck-ass senior citizens. I drove the entire six hours up here, and I haven't slept for 31 hours.

Send help.

Everybody's still alive and in one piece, I hope? :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I need a very specific slave type for myself. The kind that matches socks after they've been washed, and sews buttons, but mostly does the sock thing.

Somebody, please? I'll cook you some good food in exchange. Or bad, if you have masochistic leanings.

What kind do you need?

An air-drop of diapers, shotgun shells, a fresh bull whip or just a bottle of single malt?

(And is there a story behind it that? Family or professional herding?)

I love matching socks

According to my kids, I have colour OCD and they say it makes me happy....they say that when I'm older, they'll tell the nursing home to give me a laundry basket full of unpaired socks to deal with if I start causing trouble....

J always buys socks that are almost the same as the ones he already has, but not quite.

The socks are slightly different shades of black, have slightly different tops (I'm talking about so slightly different, that you have to turn the tops inside out to see if they match) or they're slightly different lenghts etc. It's pure hell.

When I mismatch them, he notices and inevitably lets me know that as well.

Send them to me - that would keep me happy for hours!!

I may become desperate enough at some point... :D

Unless a sock matching slave magically materializes.

The cure for this is to buy J beautiful black socks.....with some sort of distinguishing feature on each pair or that can be mis paired.

G is happy with cashmere black socks of the same make for his 'most formal' socks, sports socks all the same, and has other socks with details more easy to pair for other days.

Still, we have a bag of socks unpaired waiting for long lost mates. Lally, should you ever visit, ask for the odd sock bag and you can enjoy yourself gladly. Every now and then I tip it out and make pairs for half an hour or so.

I wouldn't dare buy him socks, he's really picky about them. Although I get it. He has big feet and it's difficult to find socks in his size, so he often wears socks that aren't great, but are not-great in some manageable way that he has learned to notice and I lack that skill.

I have a bag of lonely socks too. I should go through it again.

Ah, I see. I have a friend with really big feet and tall. It limits even which car he can drive because of the pedals being cosy in some cars  Something I never had thought about.

We don't have a car anymore, but when we did and bought a new one, J had to reject a couple of good candidates because he couldn't fit in. As in he couldn't close the door, because his knee got stuck between the door and the steering wheel. European cars are smaller. I bet he wouldn't have had such problems buying a car in the States. Those look more like fortified floats to me than cars. :D

He's not even that particularly tall, somewhere 6'7". So yes, he's tall but not gigantically so.

6'7" is pretty darn tall here...
Maybe you have been hanging out with the Dutch :D

It is tall, but it isn't freakishly tall by any means. People don't turn their heads to stare at him or anything, like they do when a friend of mine walks on the street, but he's more in the 6'10", 6'11" range. :)

I myself am shorter than average, so that makes us a bit of a freak show when we're together.

You need a house-elf.

We are a height mismatched couple too.
The funniest thing ever with tall guys and cars was two tall men in a little Renault with those canvas sunroofs.
The car needed a bra.

 I didn't know it was going to be cloudy with a chance of spam today.
