 I didn't know it was going to be cloudy with a chance of spam today.

I blame MWY.

It isn't long since MWY brought up ~smile~, who also opened tons of threads to spam pieces of his own writing. This can't be a coincidence.

Sapm, spam everywhere

Wouldn't be so bad if it was interesting spam, or at the very least spam with correct grammar...

Who is ~smile~? Did I miss something?

A copy paster of rank who was banned.
Bloved or something like that.
MWY linked a thread recently.

Oh, ok. I have a really hard time keeping up with threads. I try to read back and my eyes just glaze over. Speaking of glaze, I want a donut. (@ ̄ρ ̄@)

In a little over 8 hours' time, the wife of one of my staff will be going into theatre for a C section.

But this won't be a standard procedure - the placenta is covering the cervix, so a normal delivery isn't possible, but it is also lying in such a position that they will have to cut through it to get to the baby. If things don't go well, they may have to remove the whole womb, and the risks to both mother and baby are a lot higher than normal, excessive blood loss being the major concern. Because of the serious nature of the situation, she will be having a general anaesthetic, not an epidural.

The best surgeon available at the hospital will perform the op, but things are a little tense, as you can imagine.

So if you can spare any positive thoughts in a few hours' time, then please send them to this couple and the two young boys awaiting the arrival of a new brother or sister.

Hopefully, I'll be reporting back tomorrow with the good news of a healthy mum and new baby :)

I can only imagine how tense things must be for them right now.
I'll be logging on tomorrow hoping to read that all went well, and that everyone is doing well x

What a scary situation! Sending up 'mad skills' thoughts for the surgeon and best wishes for the family.

Everybody's still alive and in one piece, I hope? :)

Define "in one piece." >.<

It is Tuesday night. I have slept maybe eight hours since Saturday night. We had to stop in Mississippi for the night because I flat couldn't drive all the way back to Alabama.

I have heard so many Elvis songs in the past three days that my lack-of-sleep hallucinations are just "C.C. Rider" on constant repeat.

Absolutely none of this is exaggeration.

Halp.

What kind do you need?

An air-drop of diapers, shotgun shells, a fresh bull whip or just a bottle of single malt?

(And is there a story behind it that? Family or professional herding?)

I'll take anything you'll send me at this point!

And, yeah, it's family. I probably wouldn't mind it all *quite* so much if I were getting paid for it! :p

Tonight will be the first time I have EVER slept alone in our bed. (Master is in the hospital. :( ) We've had the reverse a few times in the last years, when I had to be away caring for my Mom or when Master didn't want to deal with holiday travel. But I've never been alone here before. I do not like this one little bit. (Which is what he always tells me. Now I get it. :rose:)

I only got about 3 hours sleep last night, so hopefully I will sleep hard and morning will come fast.

They've had a baby boy, 6lb 5oz :D :D

Both are doing fine, although it was touch and go at times.

What a relief.....

I like to watch really bad, grade A terrible, scifi movies. There are none too terrible to watch. (Well, okay. I'll admit to not being able to get through Poultrygeist. It was reeeeeeeeeally bad.)

I found a new one last night. Zombeaver.

Awesome. :D

Dear Lord!

Bunny, did you make it home intact or did you go down for the third time?

I seem to have been off the board for this little jaunt, but it does recall the time I drove with my mother and aunt to Fredericksburg. Annoying, really. I've done my best to block that memory....

Fantastic news on the good health of the mother and baby, Lally! :)

Good to hear! I've been thinking about them.

They accidentally cut the placenta during the cesarean with my youngest.

Trust me, "Oops!" is not what you want to hear from the surgeon during an operation.

I'm just so relieved - waiting for news about that baby was a lot tougher than I expected, and I'm so glad it's gone well :D. Thanks, everyone, for your kind messages and thoughts.

She had miscarried last year, and so this pregnancy had been worrisome anyway - then they had the bombshell about the potential birth risks. But......all forgotten now in the joy of the new arrival :)

I'm home, finally! (Thank you for asking.) I plan on sleeping for approximately five years now. :D

Oh, God, I can imagine how your Fredericksburg trip was. Why are trips with family so maddeningly awful? I made up my mind the second day we were there that I will absolutely fake my own death before I go through that again. :p

I may have slipped into the Twilight Zone. Elsewhere, in all seriousness, I just wrote this: "Fucking sex. Ruins everything. :D "

It must be time to take me out back and shoot me. ;)

If I can help in any way, please let me know :D
Except the sex bit  Sorry, you're on your own there.

Glad you got home safely!

I remember having four senior citizens in tow in Warsaw for 5 days, one of them an incredibly picky eater. It really was exhausting on so many levels.

Not to mention there was a plane crash the day they were supposed to leave which threw a bit of a curve ball, and I naturally had to deal with it all. They stayed for an extra day and I almost cried of happiness when they finally were on the plane home.
