Picking duck eggs off of the sea floor all night to feed a mouse.
I have had more restful nights of sleep...

Okay, so I was a little…distracted today. Something that happens when I get really focused on a project or situation.

Anyway, today’s distraction resulted in my losing the clothes soap for the washing machine. This became apparent after I’d loaded the washer and started the water filling for the cycle. I searched high and low, several times, to no avail. As I’d already washed several loads, I KNEW the dang stuff was around somewhere! Eventually I texted my SO. He’d been home midday, and it seem just within the bounds of possibility that he’d moved the container or something.

While waiting for him to reply a thought struck. Dashing to the washer, I felt around under all the clothes. Yup! There was the laundry soap, buried under a load of whites. Apparently I’d tossed it in before the clothes! And yes, I realize the weirdness of that action. What can I say. I was really, really, really distracted.

I texted a “Never mind” to my SO.

When he came home this evening he asked what had happened with the laundry soap. I explained, rather sheepishly. He stared at me for a long moment before saying, “You are so adorable.”

Men can be so very, very odd….

Says the women who tries to launder the clothes soap. :D

I think I want to cuddle more people. Someone came here to make a delivery who had an interesting face....not handsome but good looking, I told him he had a wonderful face and he seemed a bit surprised. Maybe I'm becoming one of those women who scares people. I wasn't making an advance, (Its not what G and I do) but I would have liked to cuddle him.

You cannot just go round cuddling people you think look nice to cuddle though :(

Well, you kind of can :D
There are people that walk around with "free hugs" signs here. I occasionally hug them, usually depending on whether or not I have had wine with lunch that day :p

At least your laundry detergent bottle isn't at all groaty. I bet it's the cleanest one in Texas. :D

I used to believe that I had a distinct, firm 'line' between 'fun time pain' and organic/injury pain. Apparently, I've been confused? While my nips are mostly healed (re-piercing a few weeks ago) there's some residual tenderness. First off, it's made me ridiculously horny. We played a little bit this morning, and a few good zings from one of our lighter floggers sent me off to Cloud Nine. A few orgasms later and I'm grinning like a fool. When I got dressed later I started giggling just because putting my bra on gave me aftershocks.

Can't wait til I'm allowed to get them stretched again. :cattail:

My non playing giggly pucker my nipples moment was when the rings made little metallic pings against the side of my bathtub.

i  the smell of alfalfa.

Wanna come visit? They just cut the fields across the street 2 days ago. My life is reduced to waiting for the next Benadryl to kick in.

I miss the smell of sweet hay (timothy?). Alfalfa smells sour to me.

We joke about judging the weather by the scents on the air. Alfalfa = a gentle breeze from the east, jet fuel = moderate winds from the east, dairy-air = windy, out of the east.

Best "surprise" daylight savings fall back EVER...my biological wake up time is officially the more reasonable time of 7am rather than 8am.

After party clean up mostly done, the last guests just left and I'll go find my bed.
I can actually hear it calling for me.

yes! :)

i don't know that i've ever smelled timothy, but i've smelled dairy-air. *shudder*

i drove by the back side of one of our local dairies once and noticed the huge garbage heaps next to the regular dumpsters. on top of one of them was a dead calf.

is that how they do it, i wonder? just leave them out for the garbage man to collect? :(

I've started counting calories today. I've never done this before. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I'm fascinated by the different amounts in foods, and a little uneasy.

I have to remember that lunch today was not typical (we went out with family) and I didn't start adding it up until earlier this evening when I decided to do the whole counting thing. Tomorrow should be interesting...

i got lots of lovely messages today, from truly lovely people.

but i am missing my dear ones, and it's just not the same, you know?

I find it hard to take a grown man seriously when vegetables make him say "ew gwoss!"

Hm, that applies to most adults actually.

I've been debating bringing this up here, as it's about one of my kids, but I was hoping you all would pray for my 13 year old. The other day, at a med check, I mentioned to the doctor she'd complained of heart palpitations. Long story, short: the doctor did an ekg and there is something wrong with her heart. We see the specialist on the 15th, so we'll find out how bad this is (or isn't) then.

Thank you.

I don't exactly pray, but I will do what I do. And I don't know why you should hesitate to ask. :rose:
