The new Naked Party Thread.

Good Morning all,
Rolf; please arrange a glass of something pleasant for any visitors.
It gets a bit lonely round here with little or no traffic.

Meanwhile, I must go and feed the Dragon.

Hey wait a minute, when did I get promoted from Stalker? :eek:

Yeah I know, but better late than never. I've been, uh, busy. :)

You're still my favorite stalker.

Nothing worse than a hungry dragon.

What's for lunch? A hungry stalker can be dangerous on occasion. ;)

The short answer is "fresh steak"
but I need a bit of notice on how you like it, 'cos if the Dragon's feeling a bit peevish,
it might emerge a trifle 'crisp'.
Glass of something, Tx ?
Anyone else ?

:rose::kiss:

Yeah, I found that out the hard way a long time ago. Never want to take that lesson again. Ugh.

A fine red, if you please.

Rolf; do you have any fresh tomato juice please? Molly is in need of a Bloody Mary;
I think the Finnish vodka should work well enough.

Finnish? Not bad, provided it's of decent quality. I had a lovely Georgian vodka a few weeks past. I think it was the best I've ever tasted. Can't remember the brand, but it was good enough that I drank nearly the whole bottle.

I'm told by those who "know" that the Finnish vodka is very superior.
I cannot tell; my taste buds have still not recovered from being fried.

My friend, Mike, has gone through a similar treatment for his cancer. For years, the man could taste nothing. Strange thing happened tonight. I helped with a dinner at the American Legion. My uncle was the cook, producing a lovely pork medallion (roast tenderloin) served with a rustic lemon garlic peppercorn aioli.

Mike, who has not tasted anything in two long years, tasted the aioli. I thought he would cry. He loved it, savored it, absorbed every nuance and went back for more. He ate so much--a thin man who barely eats--he was actually in pain. He wanted more. It was an incredible moment.

So, you see, they do eventually wake up. Those tastebuds will talk to you soon.

Thank you, Molly.
There are things that I can taste (some sauces, for example, or fruit juices), but subtle things are a bit of a mystery. It has rendered a good meal into "in-flight" refuelling for a good bit.

You'll get there, doll.

I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole. I swear, 'We have met the enemy and he is us'-Pogo Possum. People are so rotten and mean to each other. Of course some bears eat each others' cubs so . . .

I've read that a time or two. I think it could have been handled a little better, and real dad was no prize. Step-dad put up a good showing, but in the end spit out bitter fruit. Had he done a better job with the girl, she would not have been so selfish. Since we don't know the people or their history, I'd say it was a toss up. Everyone involved was in the wrong.

I suspect that the bride's Mama may have been at fault - for a bit, at least.
Should have involved step-Dad a good bit more from the beginning.

Yanno, that blame the mom thing is almost a trope. I don't like it. We all do the best we can with what we have. Some of us just have bad taste and little skill.:cool:

Now that's a remark of consolation, I must say.
I have been described as one who's taste is 'bad', and doubts his own skill.

I don't blame the mom. I blame step-dad for making the wrong choice of a family to join. There were signs everywhere in all the years they were together. He should have expected what happened. We are each responsible for our own choices.

And I always blamed you for being so desirable...
