Perhaps but as for me, you adopt a dog. Cats might be companions. Dogs are family.

I was under the impression that applied to any dog.
So, renovation of the bathroom is now complete. It's a good thing, too. I hadn't had a shower for 3 days and I was starting to . . . um . . . Well, you know. Aren't you glad you don't have to be around me?
Congrats on the bathroom.
You do know there are always water hoses around or big pots of water and a sponge?
Sponge baths I've had aplenty. Still, it's nearly impossible to get truly clean. And washing my hair in the sink is not going to happen. It's too long and goes down the drain. That's just gross.
I believe that the are ways, but it requires an understanding assistant.
Well, I've submitted a Winter Holidays Contest story and am now working on a fantasy fandom tale with a dragon and Byzantine politics. This should prove amusing, at least to write. The dragon wears a smoking jacket and has an original copy of the First Foglio--autographed!

Oh, this dragon is a major player in the kingdom's politics. He used to eat knights who came for a fight but now they come for advice. He's sort of a free-lance consulting philosopher.
I'm starting stories and then wondering off into other ones. I've got at least three more Horner Springs stories 'in progress' as well as the dragon one but I did finally get one finished. Horner Springs, the Institute Ch 4 is posted.

Yeah, yesterday I canned a batch of pasta sauce and today I'm baking bread. The whole of the little town I live in is apparently on 'snow day'. No one seems to have gone to work and the kids are sledding down the street instead of going to school. Dolly is snoozing comfortably in front of the fireplace and I'm working on the next chapter. Funny, though. This last one isn't as popular. Wonder what turned the voters off.
YUP. 22" at shoulder and about 30 lbs. She'll play fetch all day long and is so birdie it amazes me. Ah thaynk ah may have me a pheasant dawg! Not sure she'd big enough to retrieve our local Canada geese but we'll see.

She can always use the Canadian for a floaty.
Back in the day, I found a red miniature poodle roaming the woods way out in the middle of nowhere. She followed me around for an hour or so and then disappeared. I was squirrel hunting at the time. I made my limit and headed for the truck only to find "Red' right behind me.
She was one of the few squirrel dogs I ever had that could or would follow a squirrel visually when they went from one tree to another. She was stolen a few years later.
Poodles are insanely smart. Ya shoulda hunting the thief down and crucified him on the south side of a box car headed for Albuquerque.
What would you do with this visual plot bunny? It intrigues me but I'm not sure what to do with it.

I see a second honeymoon to start with.
Why wear clothes on a space ship? A nudists dream. It ain't like someone is going to slip up on you.
You show me your moon and i'll show you mine.
The plot bunnies abound.
