The new Naked Party Thread.

An extremely large one, if you please. I'm on my way to the family shoot out. It's going to be a good time.

Is this the 'getting smashed' type (as in Drunk),
or
the Last one standing, surrounded by the dead and dying ?
:rose:

No one got smashed, but there was drinking. Drunkenness and guns do not go well together. There have been times in years past when guns were taken from those who imbibe too much. I know because I have taken guns myself.

Probably a little of both. :D

You know it, Tex. I didn't get to shoot as much as I wanted to. I'm a bit rusty. I missed a target today. I used to never miss.

I mean, if you want to keep your eye in,
you gotta practice !

My trusty little .20 gauge pump shotgun. I really like my gun. It's the perfect size for my frame and small hands. It doesn't have a lot of recoil, so it doesn't beat me up like my grandfather's .12. I used to shoot the .12 every year, but it would take a week to recover.

Of course, I would spend 8 or 10 hours shooting the thing. I don't like to quit when I get started.

<somewhat envious>

How would you like one of these?

Wow, that's pricey. I shot a .12 yesterday, also a Browning over-and-under. It is my FIL's gun. My husband bought it as a gift a few years back, and paid about a third that price. I seriously would never pay what you need to pay.

That's probably why we get cheap Spanish imports and so on.
The Feds are really NOT KEEN on an Englishman being armed; he might get dangerous.
That criminals seem to manage to get sufficient arms for their endeavours seems to have passed all understanding.
Truth to tell, shotguns are permitted but you have to jump through hoops.

Rolf, I'll have a Martini & Lemonade please, and whatever everyone else wants.

Somehow, the only thing on that menu that appeals is the hollandaise.

There was a small news item in the paper the other day.
One of the things which is, in some quarters, hated by UK citizens, is the way the EU turned loose their fishing trawlers on "English" waters. Experts far & wide predicted a load of words about fish stocks. The EU decided to limit the size of the fishing nets so the little fish could avoid capture (that dead fish were thrown back did not seem to affect them).

Anyway, the news seems to be encouraging about stocks of Cod & Haddock (two species particularly liked over here). That and the potential for telling the EU fishermen to bugger off and fish elsewhere seems almost too good.
