The NEW UK Kink Thread

Hmm, yes... Cooking far too much on the barbecue does seem to be a 'man' thing  It is a good excuse to invite lots of people around though :D

....did I hear mention of a BBQ? :D Mmmmm.
As an ex-vegetarian I will look forward to these even more this summer. Even as a veggie they are fab, especially if you get creative.

Corn on the cob bbq'd is delicious. Now I want to eat it for lunch!

Oh yes, lots of good vegetarian stuff for the barbecue, and fruits. Pinapple!

Mmmm, chunks of fresh pineapple, pork, green peppers, and red onion, skewered and grilled!! Soak the skewers first if they're wood, stops them burning ;)

How on earth am I supposed to get any work done now

She bakes tasty cakes!!

hehe I just saw this ^^ you guys are sweet!

I used to make wedding cakes and now party cupcakes as a part time job. More of a pastry + dessert person, not so much savoury stuff :)

If by good lessons you mean "how to be lazy but practical and efficient at the same time" techniques, then sure! :D

Hi everyone!! Sun's out, sky is blue; even the wind seems warm :). Downside is that I'm stuck in here, this project is down to one wheel left on the wagon, and I'm heading for the cliff with arrows in my hat :(. Upside is that there really isn't much else that could go wrong

Gosh, hope you don't go over the cliff!
It is soooo sunny and warm! Love it :) Meeting a friendly local kinkster for drinks and catch up tonight. And it's Friday tomorrow :D

I have noticed film four are having a 'love and sex season' starting tomorrow. I am not sure yet what they are showing as part of this, but for Duke of Burgundy, which I just saw advertised as the late film on Thursday night. I heard of this film here, I think through Seela, and it's a beautiful bdsm film, stunning to watch, I recommend it. :)
My wife and I watched "The Duke of Burgundy" last night. I had imagined that it was going to be arty and difficult to follow, but the plot is very straightforward; the rest of the film is the style that surrounds it. It's specifically about a D/s relationship (rather than S/M as misleadingly implied by some trailers) and the strains imposed on it by aging and jadedness -- that's it, really! There are also a lot of butterlies (both literally and as a repeated metaphor that gets stretched close to breaking point).

The film worked for me in that I understood and sympathised with the lead characters, but I'm not sure that I'd gain a lot more from watching it again.

Thanks for the review MF! You could post that in the Movies thread too ;)
Master and I just watched The Secretary together. Love that film.

Getting the popcorn ready now for Eurovision :cattail:

I think it's also about people, and misconceptions, and The danger of judging a relationship from how you perceive it from first chance or outside because dynamics can be deceptive and how wants can be draining on love....
Yes, I picked up those points too! I found them both excellent reminders that D/s isn't a simple dynamic to put into practice (although the thesis of the film probably extends more widely to love in general). :)

Is it just me who cannot bear to watch Eurovision?? I think everyone I follow on Twitter is posting about it.
