I'm talking of Lord of the Rings by J.R.R.Tolkien. And you ain't that old. The books were out while you were a young'n. From what HM tells me, maybe ten or fifteen. They made the books into movies. If you like fantasy (without sex lol) then you would love these.
As for the young one-he eats more than I do and burns the energy off immediately after. lol He's not up at four, I am.

No I'm not really into fantasy stuff...remember taking grandkids to first star war movie!! how old is the young one...I raised 3 boys I know about eating...lol..they only time they stopped snacking was at meal time!!!!!!

I just returned from church. A little 3 yr. old boy that goes to our church died in a fire last night. Very depressing. Makes me even more thankful for my family.

Hi everyone!

Hmamma, the death of a young child is hard to hear of. And it seems hardest this close to the Holidays. Out here where I live there was an Amish man that died. He was working on a house when the an insulation sheet blew up against the electric lines. He was standing on an aluminum ladder. They don't know if he died of the electric or the fall from the ladder. He had 7 littles at home and one more on the way. The funeral was today behind my house and there an estimated 1500 people here for it. I didn't know what there customs were for funerals and visitation so I didn't go last night.

Ok ok... enough sad stuff! This is a good God loving community and the family will be taken care. That is why I love living here so much!!

Momma I'm not going to wish for your men problems after last nights wish who knows what I would end up!! ((HUGS))

Wild don't work too hard today on your house!! Just remember a home isn't a home till you can write I love you in the dust!!!

I'm sorry to hear about the tragedy. A comforting thing to remember is that God called him home for a reason. I'm sure the parents are devastated, and i'm sorry for them But now there are angels rejoicing on his return home.

I hate hearing about tragedy so close to the holidays. It always seems so unappropriate.

Angel, we have Amish close to us. It's always tragic when something happens in their community. They're so distant in their ways you're at a loss as what to do.

and I'm sure this little guy is better off. He didn't have a dad and his mother had got out of prison not long ago for drugs so I guess he's peaceful now.

We are under a winter storm advisory.... yippeee!!!

As you can tell I am in sorrow today. My friend lost his father and I know how much he meant to him.

Hmamma you asked about the love I knew growing up but I will just share a brief topic on his love.

Jim never knew his real father (long story).... he grew up with foster parents. They opened their homes and their hearts to over a 124 boys in all the years they were foster parents. A couple of months ago his father was diagnosed with lung CA. One by one all the boys were coming home to say goodbye. Jim has always said they were his parents. He loved them more then anyone else in this world. I will have to look for that story I have on my email and put the address here. He wrote me this morning telling me that his fahter passed away yesterday. I never knew him but I still feel the sorrow.
