I was just there in June as part of the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of D-Day. It was just a few miles down the road from the hotel so we spent an afternoon there. The steps are very steep and there are a LOT of them to climb. It's a truly amazing structure that they could build it when they did.

The views from there are just amazing - you can pretty much see to the horizon in any direction.

If you ever get a chance to visit it, go see it, you won't be disappointed!

When I see pictures like this, I always wonder how they built the lighthouse in the first place against those waves.
