Would nonhuman be better for a ghost story? It mentions ghosts, but I always thought it was more geared toward sex with ghosts. My story has a haunting, but all sex is among the living. That's why I was leaning toward Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

I never quite get non-hunman. My space tentacle porn goes in SciFi & Fantasy. As do my panoply of varyious angelic and demonic characters.

If you have sex involving non humans, put it in non-human. Otherwise, I wouldn't. As happenstance has it, I've been reading a lot of nonhuman recently.

I've used "nonhuman" for werevolves and vampires. But only when they were part of the main cast.

However if your ghosts are just monsters, but not actually characters in the story, then I'd probably choose a different category...

I'm currently writing my first Halloween story, hoping I can get it done without relying on last-minute panic for once. It's a ghost based story, looking at NH category as things are.

Last minute panic is a huge incentive to finish, believe me. It's amazing how inspired you can get with 6 hours to go LOL

LOL I put my SPace Tentacle story in First Time (well, it was, she was a virgin) and it was iin the Top 20 Hal of Fame for First Time for quite a while with no adverse reaction to it being there rather than sci-fi

I submitted one this morning, but by my own admission its fairly mediocre and set very much in the real world of Australia. It is a fat fetish story about a middle-aged guy who while assisting his elderly father's much younger and attractive but overweight second wife run some errands when they encounter some car trouble and end up in an eerie abandoned theme park in Adelaide's outer suburbs at night. Not sure how it will go over, but there seems to be (or at least there used to be) quite a good market for BBW fetish stories, not sure if this is still the same as I haven't written one in ages.

Just submitted my story. Fingers crossed it goes through. "A Good Year for the Roses" - a romantic gardening story set around Halloween. And amazingly for me, submitted waaaaaaaay before the deadline (mostly becaue I wrote it for Crime and Punishment and then moved it because it got hung up in the submission process and got stuck in pending - very cloud has a silver lining.

All I will say about the story beforehand is, my husband read it before I submitted it and now he says he refuses to buy me a woodchipper for Christmas! Wuss!
