The NRA, Wayne LaPierre, & Hillary Clinton

Fair enough, I apologize for misrepresenting your point. I'm on the fence for the record as far as bans or restrictions go. I just hear people screaming "exact same weapon!" and I'm like, not really!

Also given how the last six years have gone it's really hard not to do things just to piss off the RW. I mean if I thought we could find a Transgendered Muslim, half Mexican, Half Chinese college professor who taught under water basketweaving to run for president I might just to hear the sounds of fury and fill a glass with Republican Tears.

Word....and I can appreciate it, at least your honest

I'd just rather we pissed the RW off in more productive ways, like feeding hungry Americans, teaching actual science in science class or something along those lines....

Explain how tides work, you know, by the moon's gravity and not by some bearded white guy up in the heavens....

That is not what the Gun Control Act of 1968 (which provoked the backlash and the "Cincinnati Revolution") was about; it was about licensing firearms dealers, prohibiting mail-order sales (Lee Harvey Oswald got his rifle that way), and keeping guns out of the hands of violent criminals and mental defectives. All very reasonable measures, don't you think?

More to do with the fact that there was lots of coverage of black men in berets with their guns.
