Submitted for Winter? Halloween’s still going on.Submitted mine today. 15k words of a sweet MFF age gap story. Good stuff.
You can submit stories early. They won't be published until the contest starts. I had an urge to write something for it and decided to get it done a little ahead of time.Submitted for Winter? Halloween’s still going on.
That makes sense. I guess I’d read AH chatter that it was safer to submit once the official contest announcement came out, if, god forbid, the Admin Notes magic words were different from what was expected.Yeah, I submitted my Halloween story like three weeks early because I was going on a long work trip and didn't want to forget while I was gone.
And I'm writing mine right now......Sunday, coffee, early morning writing......Huh. I should probably get around to rereading my story...
I just messaged you.Thinking about entering a story for the first time in this contest (I popped my contest cherry with Halloween).
However, I know that my writing needs help.
Any suggestions on how to get beta readers or an editor?
A couple of authors each did a beta read of my story and their feedback was unvaluable. However, I do not want to ask them as I am conscious of the time suck being a beta reader/editor is.
Not sure if you understand that you can tell if it has been accepted. It stays in the Pending list until it appears publicly. But it's status changes from Pending to Published and it gets an orange NEW tag. The date changes to the date it will appear. If things are running smoothy for your story, it will happen within a couple of days of you hitting submit/publish.I apologize for possibly being overly concerned. I am entering a Literotica contest for the first time, the Holiday 2025 contest. I submitted the story on Oct 29, and it currently shows as pending. Theoretically it could either be accepted and will magically appear as published on Nov 11, or it could currently be unreviewed and possibly still be rejected. Is there a way that a submittee can know if in fact a story has been approved and is simply awaiting publishing, or if it is pending still awaiting review? Thank you
Looking forward reading itI'm in. just submitted 15K words, called "Home for the Holidays." Found love, age gap story with a dramatic twist.
