The Official Valentine’s Day Contest Support Thread 2026

I agree it’s meant to be fun. But that means nothing to a tiny minority. Best to take it all with a pinch of salt, I agree.

I agree, that's why to me the most important aspect of any Literotica contest (YMMV) is the number of views. View count is objective whereas ratings are subjective. Yes I understand it may mean that some people may not have read the entire story, but with my 750 word vignette, chances are they did.

Sorry - if it’s any comfort, you are not alone 😢
Thank you, Ms. Miller. I didn't enter anticipating a win. Rather I was looking for feedback, which has been generally positive. Other than being encouraged to use this as the first chapter in a new book, little of the feedback has been actionable. But it has been encouraging and it's nice to have the piece appreciated. So I'm considering whether once the contest is wrapped tomorrow I should consider picking up the storyline and continuing. The setting and characters intrigue me, and I suspect they would both surprise me. That's always fun.

Sounds like you know what to do 😊

I’d anyone in the Comp notices a sweep going through, I’d be grateful if you could post the news here. I’d like to get back to the authors who contacted me to see whether or not it caught the troll activity on their stories.

I'd be curious to see if any sweeps happened. I'm still at 295 votes, same as this morning.

We are not talking about the same thing. I am not talking about the voting, but about the tabulation and reporting of the results. When I saw, in the incident I mentioned, that I had a higher score than the stories that had won, I was disappointed and angry. I did not realize, until I had won a contest, how swiftly the trolls will attack the winners. By the time most people check the results, the scores will have changed, and the winners may no longer have the highest. I just wanted newer folks to understand how that happens
It does, I'm not disagreeing at all, but there have also been some sweeps that are pretty overly aggressive in a positive direction, and sometimes it's just stories regressing to both the mean of what the story probably ought to be compared to similar work and to the author's total body of work as a whole.

I was at 295 votes, I mentioned sweeps on here and I got another vote that dropped my story rating... interesting.

Thanks lurkers! ;)
Some of the one bombing is undoubtedly done by a person who frequents AH. Too many authors have reported exactly the same phenomenon. I do wonder how small their world must be that this is how they fill their time. Maybe if they focused more on improving their own writing, they wouldn’t have to attack others.

I could be wrong, but it would be a pretty big coincidence. With nearly 300 votes, a single vote dropping the rating is likely a 1.

I also think there are some bots at play. I’ve noticed over the past couple of weeks, specifically in the Trans category, any time a story hits 4.85, it gets hit with a one-bomb. The current top scores in the category are 4.84 and gave been for a while.

It’s coincidental, but it’s been too consistent to be random.

Probably not coincidental.

I noticed the same thing just now, curious where my latest TG chapter sits. The TG All Time Top List maxing out at 4.85 is consistent with the observations made in another thread - it's a bullshit list, completely meaninglessness.

No sweep for me so far.
