She giggled at his statement.

"Hmm.. Adults Against Controlling Parents..." she mused, then shook her head. "That's too close to another organization... I'll have to think on that one... make buttons and t-shirts... controlling parents awareness day!" She giggled again.

She nodded as he told her his plans. "Cool, enjoy hanging out with your friend, if that comes to pass," she said with a smile. "Back to work tomorrow?" she questioned.

She stretched her arms above her head and sighed; leaning back in the chair, she yawned. A smile meandered over her face, it wasn't there for any particular reason, but, she liked smiling until her face hurt.

Heh, yes I think that other organization might frown on that.

I'm sure we'll have fun. Video games and such, because that's what us nerds do...*a louder laugh this time, though not overbearingly so*

Yes, I've got to put my nose back to the grindstone tomorrow, though I work early so I'll have my afternoon and evening mostly free. The weekend however, is looking bleak.

She turned, drink in hand, her eyes friendly and warm as she regarded the two, "I did. it's amazing how much clarity one can get from such walks."

A true treasure. And the sands are also great for weapon training, if one is so inclined. I must admit I'd seen you and the others doing so one morning, and it spurred me to break out a few old toys I'd been neglecting.

She giggled again.

"There's nothing wrong with video games... I'm a nerd in that regard as well," she admitted, blushing a little; she liked his laugh, very much so.

"Ah, well, good luck with that," she said with a slight smile. "I'm sorry your weekend is dominated by work, though, that's got to suck."

It sucks royally. But alas, I do have a job and for that I should be thankful.

Ah, so you game as well...what sorts of games do you play?

"Too True," she nodded. "I'd sacrifice my weekends for a job... no one's hiring around my part of the world."

"I predominantly play Platformers and RPGs... Older ones... I also have a soft spot for... Sims... I don't know why..." she said with a shrug. "I use a lot of emulators because the only console we own is the PS1 (my dad sold our NES and all my games for 20 bucks at a yard sale three years back, what an idiot!), I also play an MMORPG, not as actively as I'd like...."

Yes, the job market is a cesspool at the current time. But all things change, hopefully soon, for our sakes....

Hmm, I enjoy platformers and RPGs, but I'm mostly an FPS sort of guy. Fighting games are amusing for a while too...and I'd heard a new Mortal Kombat was being released today, actually. I'm interested to see how the reboot looks.

Never been much for MMOs, though.

*His mind registers the previous statement she'd made*

He did WHAT?! That's terrible! My own NES and other long-lost systems are collecting dust in my family's storage unit...one day I will reclaim them...

Arrives at the Outlook, shifts forms, and walks in the building.

Hello Fr33k, Day, and DW. How are you all doing?

Walks over to a couch and sits down on it.

"Agreed, or surely to God, we'll be in another depression," she sighed.

She nodded. "I've not played any FPS's; my best guy friend deters me from them, the only one he likes is Doom." I shrug and giggle. "I think he mentioned Mortal Kombat coming out today..." she strained to remember, then nodded. "I was always a Tekken sort of girl," she giggled. "And , like i said, I only play one: guild wars: and that's only when all else fails and I'm excessively bored. The obsession with people who are die-hard WoW fans is obnoxious though. You waste the money you earned at your job to pay for it(if you even have a job! and if you don't, you're wasting mommy and daddy's money, depending) then waste your hours of sleep trying to get to a level so-and-such.... its pretty dumb."

She blinked at his reaction and shrugged sadly. "I know... I hope to perhaps get a used one when I have the money and move out, along with all of my favorite games so I don't have to take so much space up on my computer for the Emulator."

"Hi Avellan," she said with a bright smile and a wave. "Doing well, and yourself?"

I'm terrible at Tekken, I just tend to button mash until something works. I've heard of Guild Wars, never played it though. I've seen both sides of the WoW coin...it's a great social network even if some people do take it to obsessive lengths. I had an emulator on my laptop, but I never played the games often enough so I got rid of it. Most of the space on here is taken up by music. I have an unhealthy habit of grabbing whole discographies at a time....

*He smiled sheepishly, admitting one of his faults. The smile faded to mere enjoyment as he noted Avellan's arrival*

Hello. I'm doing well also.

She giggled. "Oh, you mean there's strategy involved in fighting games?" she blushed and shook her head with a quirky little smile. "I always button mash on fighting games... of course, it pisses off my best friend when I do so... especially if I beat him."

She nodded. "It's a decent game: you don't have to pay a subscription fee, you just buy the disc, install and play... I could never in a million years see a reason why to buy WoW, even though, I suppose it has its perks..." She shrugged. "I have my three emulators and the games external hard drive, along with several movies and songs and pictures." she shrugged again and smiled. "I do that a lot too, if I'm into the band I end up getting their entire discography... then curse myself when the artist has the same song on three different albums, and my playlist is on shuffle so I go: 'wait... didn't I just... hear this?'" she giggled. "My laptop is strictly for traveling with, I have a messenger, a Zune Manager, and Firefox, that's about it. Its extremely old, though, so anything else on it would probably freeze the stupid thing up."

Fine a little bored.

Leans back on the couch.

"Sorry you're bored," she says with a small smile. "I'm sure there's something you can entertain yourself with?"

Button mashing is it's own strategy...and infuriating to some degree. The thing to remember is that it's just a game...

My laptop is getting old, even though I got it in '07. Eventually it will need to be upgraded, but for now it works. It's my lifeline, and I almost lost it once. Thankfully it was salvaged.

*With a sigh, he sets his drink aside, rising to his feet and moving over to Kay*

Well, my friend just got a hold of me. It's been fun chatting, as always. Will you be around later? Perhaps we could go for another walk?

*His eyes sparked with a mischievous light, his grin echoing the same*

*quirks a brow* Now what am I? Chopper liver? Geez that man needs to get the stick out.

Looks back.

What did you say? Hey I have only a few minutes left here an I put up a post and no one responded for.. awhile. It was like that yesterday except only Dragon responded to me. By the way, thanks Dragon. And what's this about chopped liver. I never said anything of the kind.

Well, I answered you, Avellan.

She giggled. "Of course, it's only a game." she shrugged. "I never really get angry unless I do something stupid, and then I'm angry at me, not at the game."

She nodded. "I know what you mean, I damn near went insane the week I was without internet... and out of state... I couldn't contact my friends except through texts and calls... it got irritating after a while, constantly having to text and not have time at night to tell them all the spectacular things I had seen."

She looked up at him and nodded again. "I should be online later... probably not as late as I was last night, mind," she giggled and blushed. "But I should be here all the same... I think I'll go for a swim..."

She stood too, taking a couple steps toward him, she hugged him softly and quickly pulled away, looking down at her feet.

"Have fun with your friend," She grinned at the floor. "I look forward to speaking to you later, if it's possible."

She watched as he went away, smiling to herself. She quickly walked back to the bedroom she had claimed since that silly night of partying. Closing the door behind her, she quickly undressed, then put on a bathing suit. She smiled to herself, wrapping a robe around her that was hanging off the door, and went to the closet for a towel.

She walked out of the bedroom and glanced around, quickly darting towards the sliding glass door, outward, towards the overlook of the outlook. She quickly took the stairs down towards the beach, and made a left, the same way she made last night with him. This time, she was alone, but this time she could see where she was going. She walked a long distance, but eventually found the spot that he and she had shared last night. A broad smile took her face and she giggled, placing the towel on the ground and disrobing.

She quickly ran out into the surf, and, after the water was high enough for safe diving, she dove in, staying underneath the salty surface for a moment, then came up with a splash. It was cool, but not freezing, she liked it. She swam this way and that, keeping an eye on the little inlet and made sure she'd swim back towards it if the tide pulled her away. It was soothing here, so much like home. She couldn't help but smile.

She swam for hours, eventually getting out once the sun started to set. She wrapped the towel around her and took a long stroll back towards the Outlook.

It was nearly dark as she began the climb up the stairs, she took great care not to twist her ankle or fall backward. She entered the Outlook again, glancing about to see if anyone was actually there; finding no one she went back to her room where she took another quick shower and dressed in something a little more comfortable for the evening: A pair of denim shorts and a Devil Rays tee. She was a fan of baseball, and the Devil Rays were her home town team but... they definitely were not her favorite.

She exited her room, pulling the door closed behind her and sat on the couch, letting out a jovial little sigh. She waved one of the staff members over and asked for a cherry coke, then cozied up on the couch, curling her legs beneath her bum, leaning against the armrest of the couch.

*Grey mist moves in from offshore. Low tendrils skimming the waves and rolling with them onto the shore to take form...a delicate bare foot stepping from the mist to the sand. The surf churns around my ankles and I gather my long peasant skirt high on my thighs to keep it dry.

The evening breeze catches silvery hair, whipping it across eyes of glacier blue that lift toward the Outlook considering the stairs for a moment. A faint smile curves full lips and I turn to stroll casually along the shore into the darker shadows of unlit beach*
