The Outlook

Apollo woke with a start. The Outlook was quiet, too quiet. Frowning slighty, he waved a hand and increased the spa's temperature to the warmth it had since he got in.

If only someone would give him a massage...

"Did you now?" Her fingers slid under his shirt, sliding up his abdomen toward the widest expanse of his chest, "What exactly did you like the best about it?" Her tone was mildly absentminded, given that he was nibbling on her throat again, something that made her toes curl.
The elven warrior woke with a start, shocked to realize that the beautiful Cait and he had fallen asleep where they sat, she still in his lap. He stretched and looked around to see if she was still around. His bones popping with his stretch. His eyes traveled to the sea as his mind contemplated a swim.

they are a bad spoon and a bad fork... What about them?" he asks looking up to see the floating Dragon.

They are the only weapon we will have should the machines rise up against us. They can't be classified as either fork or spoon, so they'll fry the AI to bits.

And as he stirred, so did she.

"What are you thinking, Elven One?" Her voice floated up to him, soft and contemplative. Her fingertips reached up to gently caress his jaw.

She gave a small yawn, looking around.

"We fell asleep, didn't we?" The answer was obvious.

his smile is soft, "Yes my friend we fell asleep." he said stroking her cheek holding her to him. "I am trying not to think dark thoughts... I was also batting around the idea of the swim however I fear it might have to wait until this evening. I am not leaving yet, but a swim might take too much time.

She nodded. "Well, if you wish for my company this evening, you know how to find me." She leaned up and kissed his jaw.

He nods. "I would very much like that, more than I can even express to you." he says softly.

She smiled slowly, letting her eyes linger over his face, knowing she could not remove the sadness from his eyes for only time could do that, but she hoped to ease it.

"For now, however," she pulled herself reluctantly from his arms and off his lap, reaching for his hand and squeezing it, "off with you for a shower, while I do the same."

She gently tugged his hand as she made her way back to the Outlook proper.

Noon slips into the Outlook, having some time in the warmth of the day. He gets a mojito from the bartender, drops a tip, and then heads down to the beach. He peels his shirt off, dropping it onto a beach lounger, and leaves it there, along with his shoes. He takes his drink begins walking against the shoreline, letting the cool ocean water wash against his toes.

Noon sees the weather beginning to change on him slightly, and he sees that he's wandered far from the Outlook. He looks at his empty glass, his drink long having been consumed, and shrugs, sighing softly. "Guess I should head back."

He nods, treading his way back to his clothes. It's still warm enough that he remains shirtless. He heads to the shower spigot, rinses off his feet, and then cleans and dries them, taking his towel and shirt to the Outlook. He exchanges his empty glass for a fresh mojito, nodding acknowledgment to the bar tender. He slides into a chair at a table, listening to a bit of the music playing over the sound system as he relaxes.

Glad slips back into the outlook and leans on the rail, wineglass in hand staring off over the ocean.

Soft footfalls, all but undetectable by another other than the elf, slows as she stops behind him, her scent giving away her presence.

"How are you feeling this evening, Glad?"

"At times I am trying not to feel." the elf says softly. He was aware of her approach but rare for him he did not turn to face her. However he did lift an arm silently in invitation, inviting her to cuddle under it.

"There are so many things in my life I should be thankful for, and happy about. Why do I fixate on the few not so great things?" He asks softly.

She shrugged as she drew closer and under that arm of his.

"Because, whether you like it or not, you still care." The look she gave him was full of meaning. "And because whatever else there is? it all still holds meaning in your life and until you are ready to let it go, you will fixate on them."

He gives her a squeeze. His hand stroking through her hair. "You are very good to me my sweet." he murmers his hand tilting her chin up to meet her gaze with his own.

She lifted a hand, brushing the side of his face with the back of it.

"You deserve nothing less."

Arriving on scene wearing a cute dress, her hair is long and loose...she walks up to the bar and takes a seat on the stool

"Hmmm..." she says as she thinks about what to have for a drink...

She squeezed his hand gently then looked out at the view.

"It was satisfying."
he smiles, "I'm glad you had a nice day. I had a fairly good day, all told... got an excelent grade on something I hoped to get a good grade on and that was like a big weight off my shoulders, and with the apology I just got in the rw... looks like my day might end better than it began."

"I'm happy to hear it, dear one."
