"Perhaps so, Luc. We shall see, won't we? However, I find myself with my hands full currently and with a tale almost ready to begin spinning. I do not care to hold too many threads. It is not fair to those I already spin with, not to give them the best of myself and spreading myself.....thin, would do exactly that."

Spying Glad, I come to my feet quickly, tossing a regretful look over her shoulder to Luc. "My apologies Milord. I see someone I must attend. Farewell for now."
Her footfalls take her down the slope and to Glad's back, "What ails you, Warrior? I could see you are troubled, my friend."

He turns, and strong arms pull her down to him, settling her in his lap so that he can hold her close and kiss her lips tenderly. "I did not mean to pull you away from your new friend..." he says softly, green eyes full of concern.
"As to what is wrong, its just been a long few weeks, I've stretched myself too thin at times, and so much in my life is changing, it becomes difficult to find a something solid to cling to in an everchanging world, do you know what I mean?" he says softly.

She fell gently into his lap, returning his kiss tenderly then glanced briefly at Luc before her eyes refound Glad's.
"You didn't. We just met and you're a dear friend. Of course I would come to your side, Glad."
She slid a hand along his cheek, her thumb gently caressing his cheekbone as she looked up at him in concern.
'You can cling to me when things get rocky. I'm not going anywhere. And yes, I understand such things. Sometimes, we just get swept up in Life's vortex and it's all we can do to hang on to."

He nods, soothed by her assurance that she did not mind having to come to him.
He leans his face into her gentle touch, her tenderness soothing something that was hurting inside him.
"I am glad you aren't going anywhere, but that is a fear of mine, that people will." he shrugs lightly, "It might seem silly on the surface but it really frightens me at times." his eyes reflect the depth of emotion he is feeling. "I have just cycled so quickly between extreme highs and extreme lows, and haven't slept well lately, that I feel like I've been run through a ringer at times." he shrugged. "I have missed you and my other friends, and I feel guilty that I have had no time to go to the inn and be there with them, you all have supported me so much and I feel Like I've just abandoned you all."

"Glad," she admonished softly, "We're your friends we aren't going to abandon you but if I must keep reminding you of it, I will gladly do so. Your friends worry, yes, especially when you don't stop in to see them, but, they are also quite wise. They understand, as well as I do, that Life has a tendency to swallow us and not release us from its grasp. So, please, stop feeling guilty over something you can't control."

he sighs and nods, "You might have to keep reminding me... I tend to have a thick head." he teases laughing lightly, the humor masking some of the insecurity and pain inside. "If you see them in the inn, tell them that I'm still here, and I miss them all, and if they wish to contact me when I have lack of time I still check pms regularly."
He laughs a little, "Sometimes I feel like I could control it if I managed time better." he laughs, "But I guess there's just not enough hours in the day."

She reached up and tugged his head down to hers so she could set her lips to his briefly, yet thoroughly. Then laughed softly.
"Don't worry. When the conversation turns to you, I swear all eyes either fall on Lady Thyri and then on me. I'll tell them, my dear, gladly so."

Looking up, she smiled as Miss Luna came by. She snagged the roses and held one out to Glad. Lifting it to her nose, she inhaled its scent and called after the Lady Wolf, "Thank you, Milady," and blushed.
