Well fed and happy, I find my steps turning towards the Outlook again. Something about the place calls to me. Maybe it's the ocean, maybe the beach. Maybe its the prospect for interesting company and the developments that can sometimes occur from meeting new people, or meeting up with established friends.
Picking up a glass of wine, I find a spot at the rail with a good view, watching the moonrise over the ocean.

It's quiet except for the waves on the beach, my fingers dance over the keyboard matching the cadence of the waves, point and counter-point. Content to work on the threads that I owe on I lose myself in them momentarily.

Noticing the arrival of our hostess, watching her working quietly but diligently on her writing, I smile, thinking how I really should thank her for creating this place. But I don't wish to disturb her too much. I pause for a bit as I consider the dilemma, but finally give in to impulse. Approaching as unobtrusively as possible, I lean down and kiss her forehead softly, whispering,
"Thank you for this place, Aus. It has given me and many others a place of beauty and serenity to make many wonderful memories with old friends and new acquaintances. I just wanted you to know I appreciate it."

Yes, Mistress, I have been enjoying myself quite a bit, especially with Drunken Angel. I don't know if she's mentioned it, but she and I enjoy each other very much. And I've been getting to know some others too, right here in the Outlook, actually. Some of those memories I was talking about.
