The Princess' Blade

“I.. ah… “ stopping when Marius’ hand flies in the air to shut me up. A small frown appears when I hand his papers over while listening to the story of the king’s men looking around here. This must mean that the guards were looking for me. I was gone too long. This stopped Anastasia in her tracks. Calculating his demeanor, she stood there pondering for a few moments.

“They wouldn’t have thrown you in jail. The king’s guards have to give you one fair warning before they do anything. It’s the law and strictly enforced by…..”; Almost revealing Anastasia’s knowledge of positions. “Never mind that part. It’s just strictly enforced. Plus this is the princesses ground. They can’t touch you unless she banishes you from this area.” Fiddling with her clothes, Anastasia had to come up with another semi lie about this place.

“I knew of this place because I helped build it with the princess. She and I use to play out here all the time and it was our secret get away.”; Proudly stating this partial truth of her existence in the sacred area.” I and a few others came here every day when we were younger to fight, rough house or anything for that matter.” Shrugging it off like it was nothing out of the normal.

Rocking back and forth on my feet; “So what’s so important about those papers anyway?” Swiping them from Marius’ belt and opening them up. “You are so scared that you will lose these little things when I take your cloak.” Reading Marius’ papers while I walk towards the pile of wood that needs to be cut.
