The Race for '28 IS ON!

The good news is, he cannot be elected again and JD is too st-st-st-stupid to run...

I think Kamala would be a shoe-in for '28.

I'm calling it now.

🍀

Kamala Harris, President-in-Waiting

I am with Tulsi !:) ... by then: ".... and who is Kamala?!"

What monkey POX can be unleashed in time???

It can be virtual in this day and age.

And the New Democrats couldn’t have “rebuilt” the party without him [Bill Clinton]. First thing in politics, you need a candidate. And if you want to accomplish something more than business as usual, especially within the party, you need a great candidate. You need a candidate who accurately describes the state of the union and more, is willing to say “unpopular” things—it’s the surest path to credibility, just ask Donald Trump. You need a politician who sounds like he or she is speaking English that hasn’t been strained through the consultant-pollster Cuisinart. You need a candidate who answers questions directly, as Kamala Harris never seemed to do. (I’m aware that Clinton was heavily, and rather brilliantly, consulted—but his crew, led by James Carville, understood the power of the spontaneous.)

Now, such a candidate might be available to the Democrats in 2028. But I don’t see any obvious choices right now. One may well emerge—but only if he or she has world-class politics chops, a stubborn intelligence, courage, and a sophisticated sense of the changes necessary to salvage the party. Successful politics is a combination of gestures and substance and strength. Even outrageous futile gestures—like Matt Gaetz for Attorney General—have their uses for master players (No doubt, Trump had Pam Bondi stashed for the inevitability and hopes that Gaetz, as sacrificial lamb, might bring smoother sailing for his remaining passel of ridiculous nominees.) These days, far more than in Clinton’s time, you need a sense of showbiz.

IDK man....they may have pushed them all out already. All their best people .....are now either burnt and bitter about how they were treated, just as or even more geriatric than Biden ....or they went MAGA.

Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer is who I bet they push in 2028.

And they are SOOOOOOOOOO BAD.........

The midterms and a large number of elections going forward are truly the GOP's to lose.

And trailing even further behind is the left who continue to do nothing but scream that everyone is racist
White men
White women
Latino men
Black men
Any man or woman of any age or race that voted for Trump.

Having now pissed off an insulted the vast majority of the population, things aren't looking good.

Well I mean since Kamala was PERFECT IN EVERY CONCEIVABLE WAY!!!

The only possible reason that people didn't vote for her is because they're racist and sexist.

I joke, but most Democrats seem to actually think that way.

I think that any American winning Political strategy going forward needs to be one of optimism. Stop putting down the charter of negative liberties and put up with each other.

Anyone. Anybody can find something wrong. Idiots can do it (open a thread, any thread) without being awake.

We have nothing to offer but less and more of it. See? Positive. There's more to it...

Roughly half (51%) of Democrats and independents who lean toward the party say they’re optimistic, while 49% say that they’re pessimistic about its future. Democratic pessimism is up compared with both 2016, when 38% said they were feeling that way in the wake of Trump’s first presidential victory, and in 2020, when 17% of Democratic-aligned adults described themselves as pessimistic after Joe Biden’s win in 2020. They also didn’t feel this pessimistic in the wake of the 2018 and 2022 midterms.

By contrast, 86% of Republican-aligned adults now call themselves optimistic about the GOP’s future, up from 65% who said the same two years ago. Roughly 8 in 10 said they were optimistic following Trump’s 2016 election and the 2018 midterms, with 74% calling themselves optimistic after Biden’s 2020 victory.

Democratic pessimism this year is particularly pronounced among younger members of the party, with 55% of Democratic-aligned adults younger than 50 taking a negative view of the party’s future, compared with 39% among their older counterparts.

$1.5 Billion is not enough to buy an American Election.

Whatever you donated to the Vice-President this year will need to be doubled for the Pres__ent in Exile (with no photo ID) to seek her justice and vengeance in '28.

Trump must not have his third term, it will lead to a fourth.

Ignore the comforting sign(s): PANIC!

12 kangaroos found him guilty.

Kangaroos who happen to be American citizens.
Ah, I see we have a true brain dead MAGA cult member spouting off everything QAnon, Bannon, Alex Jones and Fox Entertainment has feed him since 2016. This guy needs to be committed for his own protection.

Leftists who were part of the so-called “Resistance” movement against President-elect Donald Trump in 2016 are now facing a “disillusionment with activism” after the Republican won again this November, political scientists and organizers have realized.

In a Sunday report titled “The Resistance goes quiet,” Axios aimed to explain why the left wing has not erupted into widespread protests like what occurred when Trump beat former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton eight years ago.

Now.
Rest&Refit?
New Approach?

I am thinking bigger stick, soft-shoe shuffle and party purity.
I could also be pleasantly surprised and there might be rapprochement and reciprocity.

Maybe management could start with the worst of their trolls and send a "play nice" message... Bets? lol

There's really no telling who will run in 2028. How many people had heard of Barack Obama in 2004?

There is that.
There are also tendencies and inclinations.

I think the maternal and feminine elements of the party controlled the election.

They were scorned. Now. What does a woman do? Or even worst, the newest convert, the transexual woman?

New converts are always the most fanatical in any movement: they have to prove...

Again, consider the left-wing logic: it is deemed moral to dismantle the border, disrupt the social fabric of the country, and destroy federal immigration laws. But it is immoral to restore U.S. sovereignty, secure the border, stop the flux of lethal cartel-supplied fentanyl and child sex trafficking, and follow the law?

In this regard, the party that prides itself as progressive is regressively adopting the states’ rights arguments of 19th-century southern states that boasted they would resist all federal enforcement of tariffs. By the late 1850s, these future Confederates were asserting that the national government had no jurisdiction in their state domains. Such brazen nullification would lead to the Civil War.

Note the left assumes that conservatives will not emulate their tactics and thus declare swaths of federal firearms or environmental laws null and void within their red state and county jurisdictions. They know that doing so would start a cycle of lawlessness that would eventually result in either civil war, total anarchy, or both.
