The Race for '28 IS ON!

Some of us saw Obama arrive in 2004 and recognized the sham for what it was.

Is.

Wow!!!

The universe is a turtle but I'll be damned if why I can figure they named the gas station The Turtle Stop.

Ah, I see we have a true brain dead MAGA cult member spouting off everything QAnon, Bannon, Alex Jones and Fox Entertainment has feed him since 2016. This guy needs to be committed for his own protection.

Harris is telling her advisers and allies to keep her political options open

But privately, the vice president has been instructing advisers and allies to keep her options open — whether for a possible 2028 presidential run, or even to run for governor in her home state of California in two years. As Harris has repeated in phone calls, “I am staying in the fight.”

She is still their best option. Optically it's Gavin, but..., old white guy is starting to be less and less motivational to a base wound up on their own conflicting internal rhetoric.

Alexandria "The Great" Cortez has a nice ring to it. She cleans up nice, I think she comes with wine jug.
A Walmart whine cup, sippy-cup, dish-fitting, standard issue(s).
Prettier than Mace, meaner than Majorie...

We can't wait!

Ladies, Gentlemen, Those of you on the fence...,

Are you ready to rumble?

But two names loom far larger than all the rest: Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, and Ohio Senator JD Vance, our next vice president.

The Trump administration is borrowing heavily from Florida. An unusually large number of cabinet members will be coming from the Sunshine State: The president, plus his chief of staff, his secretary of state, and his national security advisor. Trump’s original nominee for attorney general — Matt Gaetz — was a Floridian, as is Pam Biondi, the replacement nominee.

When Rubio is confirmed secretary of state [..., i]f DeSantis taps Lara Trump, it almost certainly means he’s making a move for the GOP nomination. Although DeSantis is still well-regarded by MAGA Nation, his “disloyalty” in running against the man who made his career hasn’t been forgotten. Naming Lara Trump the next senator would be a helluva way to make amends.

Meanwhile, JD Vance would seem to have the insider’s track to the 2028 GOP nomination. After all, who better than the vice president to be MAGA’s heir apparent? But that inside track could ultimately be illusionary.

We should have been prepared for this behaviour, of course. We witnessed such sneering petulance from the entitled overclass back in 2016, the year that saw Trump first elected as US president, and also the year a majority of the British public voted to leave the European Union.

Up to then, the elites had silently become ever-more detached from the lower orders, regarding them with increasing disdain. This antipathy suddenly erupted in spectacular fashion. They had grown so accustomed to getting their way that they just couldn’t process or accept that, for once, their demands had not been met.

In the Libertarian spirit, we witness the decentralization of the news:

Musk has made numerous comments on the growing influence of citizen journalists and fact checkers who are sharing what they see, hear and know on his X platform where bad or incomplete information can be quickly corrected via the community notes feature.

Meanwhile, corporate media propagandists have lost credibility and audience because they have failed to be impartial in reporting on issues like Russian collusion, Covid and Ukraine.

That bias has led information seekers to other outlets to get timely and credible information and has tipped public support away from corporate platforms.

By appearing on podcasts like Joe Rogan’s, President-elect Donald Trump not only gained access to an audience many times larger than what any corporate media program could attract but he also was able to bypass the narrative managers who have attacked him nonstop since 2015.

VandeHei’s National Press Club outburst claimed that “Being a reporter is really hard,” adding, “You don’t do that by popping off on Twitter. You don’t do that by having an opinion. You do it by doing the hard work.”

Imagine that.

From the article:

New Jersey governor Murphy said he would "fight to the death."
