The Raiders of the Scarlet Sails (IC)

Amlugeth noticed that Wulf gestured towards her birthmark. It looked like two dragons. Most people mistakenly thought they were tattoos, but her people were born with this mark. The thing that was unusual about Amlugeth's birth mark though is that it was two dragons instead of the normal one dragon. She never found out what the meaning of the two dragons was since her village was destroyed and all the wise men along with it.

But, Wulf was right, the dragon was a symbol of her's and always would be, it was in her blood! When he turned and went into his room, she went into her room also. But Wulf had suggested she try to learn the layout of the ship, so she was going to draw herself a map to help her remember where things were located. She sat down at her small desk and started working on it.

Wulf settled onto his bunk and then thought about the woman who he had just left. She was different to him in almost every way but he found her strangely alluring. Her fiery red and black hair was in stark contrast to his white golden locks. She kept hers unbound and allowed it to flow freely down her back. His was tightly wound in his warriors braid which ended in a small golden ball that he could use as a weapon. Even his beard was done in two warrior braids with his clans beads in them. She was a thin though athletic Elf while he was a tall muscular barbarian.

No two people could be much more further from each other in looks, but it might have just been him but he had felt a little something when he had been talking to her. He would like to talk to her again, even if it was only to satisfy a curiosity he had since childhood. He had been told a little about her and knew she had grown up with people who knew about dragons. He guessed that's why she had put them on her body. He wanted to know if she had ever heard about any White Dragons. He had only been a young boy when he had seen it flying over the frozen tundras of his homeland but he was sure it was a dragon. He was used to seeing the smaller Ice Drakes and it was not like them.Maybe Amlugeth would be finally able to satisfy his curiosity and he might be able to start up a friendship with the alluring Elf.

Luca and Jabnil

Luca had been interrupted before with Jabnil and so he made sure to end the foreplay more quickly than he would have liked and placed his cock against her wet slit.

“FUCK ME” Jabnil asked of Luca and he slowly rammed his huge rod into her STRETCHING her pussy … “OH SHIT YOUR BIG” she gasped but she took him in all the way to the hilt in one smooth motion. Luca could not believe the tightness and pleasure of her cunt. He sank deep into her, he felt her cunt muscles convulse and tighten around him with amazing force. He was going to enjoy this!

Jabnil understood very soon that Luca was an incredible lover. Each powerful stroke rocked her body sending waves of pleasure through her. She was gasping for breath as his massive cock plunge into her. Over and over. She was lost in the intense pleasure. They change position many times during their love making … but finally she ended up on top. She rode him with skill and exuberance, varying the speed and power of her thrusts. Sometimes she would angle her pelvis upward and only fuck the last two inches of his cock, squeezing the glans rhythmically with the mouth of her hot pussy. Then, when she had tantalized him sufficiently and he was bucking and moaning to feel himself all the way inside of her, she would plunge herself down on him once more, driving his hips into the cot they were on, pounding her groin against his massive cock.

She had cum many times at this point and Luca knew it was now his turn. With Jabnil’s luscious swaying breasts above him and her sexy quivering ass bouncing up and down on him, he time his release to her next orgasm. Her body started to go rigid. As she drew a deep shuddering breath, her pussy exploded again in orgasm. At that same instant his own cock decided to join in with an enormous jet blast of cum. It squirted up his long shaft. He could feel the awe-inspiring load as it burst forth from the tip of his cock, squirt into her quivering womb. They surged together his huge cock spurted cum inside her and filled her belly with his seed. It was perfect. Cum leaked down her legs as they both collapsed together. Exhausted but totally satisfied they fell asleep in each other arms.

Blade

There was a few hours of sleep, not the worst position to sleep in either. A soft bed, a warm, soft body against your own...damn it was a fantastic sleep on a Pirate ship. It was well before dawn when Blade slipped out from under Red, she was sleeping deeply and he didn't want to wake her. Slipping into his clothing, he made his way to the deck, a weary man, but a happy one. Cold water woke him up as he used it to cleanse himself, being a sailor and a pirate didn't mean that he had to be smelly and dirty.

With casual ease he climbed the raised main sail and took his spot in the crow's nest, looking about to make certain the sailor before him had missed nothing, he settled in. As the sun started to brighten the sky, Blade spotted a column of black smoke is rising into the sky. No land was nearby so it could only be a ship burning. Two miles away a single masted Chelish naval cutter Famished Mane has just defeated the pirate brig Vorsfang. Blade could just make out bound prisoners being escorted below decks by orc soldiers of the Chelish navy as the fire on the ship spread across the Vorsfang. It is clear that the Cleaxians are going to execute the surviving pirates by locking them below decks and burning the ship to the waterline.

"Ships ahoy, two to the starboard!"

His voice rang out and sailors started to rush to get to their positions, Blade swung down to the deck as Red came out of her cabin. Well she looked ravishing with her disheveled hair and sleepy eyes. He landed lightly next to her, "Two ships, Chelish navy cutter and the Vorsfang. Seems like the Chelish is aiming to scupper the ship with the brothers locked below deck. We have the sun behind us cap'n, we stand a good chance of surprising them Chelish orc scum and savin' our brothers."

Wulf rushed on deck as soon as he heard the call. He had slept well but like most sailors he had learned the trick of being able to sleep lightly and wake and be ready for action at a moments notice. He was especially adept at this seeing as his position demanded he be at the Captains beck and call and direct the crew as soon as the orders were given.

He had rushed to midships and started to shout for the milling crew members to man their stations. it would not do to have too many hands rushing about trying to find out what was going on if they were attacked. better to have them ready even if they did nothing. His firm booming voice soon had them all rushing to their proper stations and he ran a practiced eye over them. He noted the stragglers so he could talk to them later, and the ones that didn't seem to know what they were doing. Luckily there were not many of them and most were on the new weapons so could be forgiven. He would have to drill them more until they could flow out of their bunks and onto the machines even in the dark.

Fortunately all was in readiness before the Captain had issued any orders and Wulf turned towards the wheel to see if she had taken up her position yet.

Red

Red slept well that night but as the morning light began to lighten her cabin she was awake enough to think about love. She had never been in love before. But after the night with Blade she thought she might be in love. She did not know what “in love” really meant. But she had been told many things about “being in love”:

“When you’re in love … You’ll know it”

“You’ll expressions your affection, both physically and emotionally”

“You’ll wish to offer pleasure and satisfaction to your lover”

“You’ll be tender, compassionate, and sensitive to the needs of your lover”

“You have feelings that go beyond any selfishness or self-interest.”

She had heard that it all. But the one that seemed to make the most sense to her was … love starts with lust … this turns into attraction … which can turns into commitment. Commitment to that relationship and making it work for many years and even decades was true love. She felt her relationship with Blade was at this point. She had lusted after him for years. She was attracted to him. And now finally she was committed to him. "Was he committed to her?" she wondered

There was a shout "Ships ahoy, two to the starboard!" She stopped her thoughts about love and quickly got out of bed. It took almost no time, before she was out of her cabin. She was disheveled and rubbing sleep from her eyes, but she was next to the helmsman (Nya) as Blade came down from the crows nest to report.

"Two ships, Chelish navy cutter and the Vorsfang. Seems like the Chelish is aiming to scupper the ship with the brothers locked below deck. We have the sun behind us cap'n, we stand a good chance of surprising them Chelish orc scum and savin' our brothers." Blade stated

It was the first big decision for her as Captain of the Scarlet Dragon. It was a hard one. The Chelish sailors had won the battle and now the losers, the crew of the Vorsfang were going to die. It was a fact of life. A risk pirate took. But there was another way to look at this same situation. Pirating in the Shackles was a “gentleman's affair”, with most pirates capturing a merchant ship with no exchange of weapons. The merchant ships carried almost no weapons and to resist was futile. So pirates captured the ship, took it to a neutral port where most of the crew was released. High rank officials would be ransomed and the cargo would be sold on the black market. There were exceptions to these engagements, Capt Harrigan pirate fleet was one good example of ruthless behavior, but in general that is how it went. Vorsfang and Captain Brooks 'Golden Hair' DeHelm was never known for savage acts against merchant ships. Still Red did not know ... perhaps this horrible act of locking the crew below decks and burning them alive was warranted.

But there was more to think about ... The Cheliax Empire was like most nations until about seventy years ago. That was when the Thrice-Damned House of Thrune defeated its rivals in a bloody civil war bringing order to the war-torn nation of Cheliax. But at a price, for now the imperial bureaucracy enforced devil-worship as the state religion. It was not uncommon to see people of Cheliax bow their heads in perpetual servitude to the dark lords of Hell.

This changed Cheliax, the empire now began to attack and subjugate neighboring kingdoms. They sent their navy into the shackles to wipe out the free captains. Not to protect merchant shipping, but to ensure when they make their moved against The Republic of Andoran that their left flank will not be attacked by pirates. To make matter worse, the Famished Mane, had a reputation of unnecessary and ruthless act of violence against any shipping ... merchant, free captains, and anyone else that got in their way.

“This is Captain Red, I have the deck.” Red sang out loudly. She nodded to Blade, he again had come up with an excellent plan. “Nya steer us with the rising sun at our back. I want full sails and the highest speed possible!” She ordered. She saw Wulf already getting the ship ready for combat.

“Quarter Master Wulf … make ready for combat. I want the Famished Mane disabled BUT DO NOT sink her. We’ll need that ship for the crew of the Vorsfang. No unnecessary deaths, only those Chelish that resist.” She ordered.

Wulf received the Captains orders with both trepidation and relish. It was always harder to take a ship with little damage, Especially a Chelish warship, but he was glad they were getting revenge for their pirate brethren.

"Aye, Aye Captain. Making ready for combat. Disable only and keep deaths to a minimum if possible."

Wulf grimaced at that last order. He had never really heard of those devil worshiping Orcs surrendering all that much but he would relay the order.

"You heard the Captain men. I want all catapults loaded with grape shot and the ballistas with grappling hooks. Mr Jura Your heavy Ballista is to have a regular shaft in it if you please. I have a special task for you." He smiled as he watched the men go about their tasks. He was pleased to see there was no panic and that although they were still a little slow on the catapults the teams worked well.

Within two minutes everything was ready to fire. he strode over and checked the strike forces weapons and armor. All of them looked secure and although most of them looked nervous they were still ready to go.

Walking back to his position he passed Jura and walked up to the big man. "Jura I want you to find that ships captain as soon as you can. Once you have keep your bolt trained on him and when the order is given I want you to kill him. A boat without a captain will be much easier to take and more of them may surrender. I am relying on you, but you are the best shot here and I know you can do it."

Wulf returned to his post and looked back to the captain. "All is in readiness captain. Weapons armed and awaiting your orders and Boarding team standing by."

Amlugeth heard the yelling and running around in the hallway and up on deck. She picked her head up off her desk, where she had fallen asleep the night before. She looked down and saw the map she had been drawing and thought it looked pretty good. Still a lot of details to fill in, but she felt more confident on finding the galley, that is what pirates called the kitchen, and then back to her own room. She pushed her chair back and stood up, she was stiff and sore from slipping in the hard chair and in such an uncomfortable position. Her neck didn't want to turn very well and when she stretched her body protested. She quickly splashed some water on her face, brushed her hair and threw on a different shirt before heading out of her room.

When she got on deck everyone was running around but seemed to know what they were doing since they didn't bang into each other. "All is in readiness captain. Weapons armed and awaiting your orders and Boarding team standing by." she heard Wulf say to Red who was standing there watching. Amlugeth looked to see what she was watching and saw another ship. She wanted to be in her room, but was also curious on what was going on too.

"Were they really going to attack and kill those people? What if they lost the fight and that other ship took over? What if.... oh my goodness stop thinking all of these 'what if's'" she thought.

Red

The Scarlet Dragon raced towards the two ships, closing the distance quickly. The speed of the ship was still a surprise to her. It was early morning and the water was almost glassy calm. Yet the Scarlet Dragon’s sails were blown full with wind. It was hard to understand. Then her eyes saw Luca, who was on the quarterdeck, near the stern and seemed totally disinterested in the recent activities. But when her eyes caught his, there was a little bit on naughtiness in them. Had he cast his wind spell? It was the only good explanation for the lucky gust of wind that carried them forward so quickly.

“Steady Nya … they still have not seen us” Red ordered as Nya free tentacles reached for all her weapons, while she kept the ship on course.

“Aye Captain … the Famished Mane will not know what hit her … Blade’s idea was brilliant.” Nya commented. Red had to agree. The two ships in front of them were grappled together. Famished Mane sails were furled. Red’s crew would have complete surprise and be able to maneuver at will against the ship until the Famished Mane could build up speed. Red was close enough now to hear the screams for help from the pirates trapped below deck on the Vorsfang. Red also noticed that the crew on the Famished Mane was getting ready to cut the grappling lines to the Vorsfang and set her a drift.

“It’s time” Red said to Nya and then in a louder voice “Quarter Master Wulf … attack at the first sign they will not surrender!”

Red ordered Nya to remain on course until the first round was fired and then position the Scarlet Dragon for broadside and boarding.

Jabnil

Jabnil had made it topside just as the last of the crew reached their battle stations. She stood next to Amlugeth. Jabnil was as unsure if they should attack as Amlugeth. But as they got closer and she heard the screams from the crew of the Vorsfang she began to think an attack was the right action.

She was properly dressed for combat this time. She wore a corset of chainmail, thick leather skirt, bracers and bucklers. She grabbed both her swords and in dramatic fashion she pulled them both out at the same time.

“Beacon … Healer … which side is the most wicked?” She asked both swords.

“Man … you are one stupid bitch!” Healer said in disgust

“What my simpleton associated is vexing to elucidate … burning people alive without a trial or due process is wicked.” Beacon explained in his pompous voice.

“Both of you shutup!” Jabnil ordered the swords as she was not in the mood to hear them fight. She looked over to Amlugeth “That clears it up for me … I’m going to rescue some pirates!” Jabnil declared and jumped into the air … flying towards the burning ship.

Jura

Jura gun crews prepared for the battle. He watched to make sure they did everything right. He could tell some of them were scared. The younger less experienced ones seemed unsure of themselves. They seemed scared. Jura did not understand humans. But he knew he needed to say something.

“Forecastle gun crew … attention!” He ordered in his deep commanding voice. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him.

“Some of you … are afraid. If you let your fear overcome your sense of duty … you have become a coward. Duty is the essence of being a minotaur. Minotaurs are not cowards, can never be cowards. Duty may be important for humans too, I do not know. It is my duty today to kill this enemy. I will do it as quarter master Wulf commands. I don't regret it. My only regret will be … if we do not defeat this enemy and save our fellow pirates. My other duty is to lead you men into this battle. You are all minotaurs in my eyes. No minotaur is a coward. When I roar … I want all of you to roar like a minotaur … flight like a minotaur … kill like a minotaur … do I make myself clear?” Jura asked.

“Yes Sir” They all answered. Doubts and fears were gone from all their faces … replaced with thoughts of how to roar like a minotaur and .... what Jura would do to them if they did not do their duty!!

Jura pulled the massive Ballista into aiming position and placed the bolt into the breach. He aimed it at the biggest Orc on the Famished Mane. He was ready to fire as soon as Wulf gave the order.

Famished Mane

Captain Ulmug Tesserrod of the Famished Mane was a huge Orc. He was as arrogant, as he was powerful. He watched as the fire on the Vorsfang spread across the top deck. He laughed as he heard the screams of help coming from inside the burning ship. The glee he felt hearing the screams was unnatural even for an Orc. That was because Captain Ulmug Tesserrod was also foolish as well as a brute. During one of his demon worship sessions, a demon had appeared in his mind. It asked him if he wished to be powerful. Tesserrod had been warned not to take favors from demons … but he accepted the demon’s offer. Given that small crack … the demon began to take over Tesserrod’s mind. Tesserrod became more cunning and stronger ... he also became more evil.

The Orc Captain now watched as he imagined the horrible deaths that were about to occur. Then something very unexpected happened. Something fell from the sky. A white blur is all he could see, it was traveling so fast. The thing landed on the deck of the burning ship on an area where there was no fire yet. Once it stopped moving and it folded its wings. Captain Ulmug Tesserrod could see that it was a very beautiful human woman. The demon in the Captain’s head screamed for him to kill the thing immediately!

“If you selected to surrender … I shall not be forced to kill you” The woman said to the crew of the Famished Mane with a large amount of confidence. Her two swords held out … one silver and the other gold.

“SHOOT HER FULL OF ARROWS!” Captain Tesserrod yelled as the crew moved the four small ballistae on the main deck to point at Jabnil. Jabnil was worried but knew the longer everyone on the Famished Mane was looking at her … the bigger the surprise when the Scarlet Dragon attacked.

“I guess that means NO … Pitty” She said with a bit of sadness as she brought her silver sword down on the chain locking the hatch to the men of the Vorsfang. The sword slice the chain open ... freeing the trapped men.

“KILL HER” the Captain Ulmug Tesserrod ordered. Jabnil did not answer but was think "now would be a great time for the Scarlet Dragon to attack."

Wulf had watched Jabnil fly over to the Famished Mane. He still could not get over the fact that they had an honest to god Angel on their side but as he watched her beat her beautiful white wings with a sword in each hand he thought she looked more like an Angel of battle from the old legends.

He brought out his looking glass to keep an eye on her and saw her land on the deck of the Vorsfang and then pointed her swords at the crew of the Famished Mane. She was doing an excellent job of drawing their attention away from the rapidly approaching ship but Wulf saw that all the ships Ballista had been trained upon her. Distraction or not he could not allow this. "Jura it is time Fire Now" he yelled out. "The rest of you I want grape shot through that rigging immediately. Boarding team change of plans. A third of you are to sheathe your weapons and grab a second one. Jabnil has freed the Vorstags crew and I am sure they would like some revenge. You are to head immediately for that ship and help Jabnil defend the crew. Tell their captain we will deal with the bloody Orcs, he is to save his ship. Ballista gunners as soon as we are broadside fire those grapnil hooks and make them count. I want to be beside that ship in 30 seconds people."

As he had been talking he had heard the thump of the catapults firing off the grapeshot and Jura's big Ballista as it launched it's huge bolt towards it's target.

Amlugeth heard what Jabnil's swords were saying and realized they were right. This wasn't just a ship they were attacking for no reason, they were trying to save the people on the other ship that were going to die. Amlugeth watched as Jabnil flew over to the other ship and looked around on how she could also help. They were too far away from the ship for her to jump and reach the deck of the other ship. She heard Wulf say something about a boarding team and then saw them shooting things at the other ship. They were being pulled towards the ship that was not burning. She had to wait until just the right time. Amlugeth knew she could jump farther than anyone here, so she could get on the ship first and help Jabnil to free the prisoners.

"Jura it is time FIRE NOW"

Jura heard Wulf’s words "Jura it is time … FIRE NOW!!" Jura tuned out the sounds of the waves splashing against the ship, the smell of the salt air, the noise of the enemy sailors and the Scarlet Dragon’s sails flapping in the air. His single focus was on aiming the massive weapon, adjusting for the wind, their ship’s motion and the other ship’s motion. He squeezed the trigger at the right moment and the big bolt flew towards what he had assumed was the Captain of the Famished Mane.

The bolt struck the massive Orc directly in the head. The bolt flew right through the Orc’s head. A neat 4 inch hole appeared just above the Orc’s right ear and the exit hole was above his left ear. The force of the bolt picked up the Orc and tossed him against the stern railing. It was like that massive Orc weighed no more than a child’s rag doll. The orc crumbled to the deck ... dead.

Jura BELLOWED an enormous minotaur roar. The roar was so loud and threatening a few of the crew of the Famish Mane wet themselves hearing it. This roar was followed by the roar of the forward gun crew … trying to act like minotaurs. While their roars may not have been as loud or fierce as Jura’s, the roar had accomplished the task. None of the forward gun crew was scare. Their roars had given them courage when they needed it most. And a huge volley of grape shot smashed into the rigging of the Famished Mane ripping it to pieces.

Jabnil potty mouth

The roars also saved Jabnil’s life, as the gunners on the Famished Mane turned their weapons away from her and toward the new and much more threatening problem of the Scarlet Dragon. Jabnil was only slightly pissed about this turn of events. She was used to being the focus of enemy’s ire, not something to be dismissed. But this allowed her a few seconds to help the crew of the Vorsfang.

She pulled open the hatch and jumped down the ladder landing on the deck below. “Save your ship, don’t worry about the Orcs … The crew of the Scarlet Dragon will deal with them!” She said.

“It’s angel mates! Sent to save us ARRRGGG!” One crusty sailor gasped when he saw her. Jabnil ignore the comment but she did notice all the Vorsfang’s crew’s hands were tied behind their backs.

“FUCKING SHIT!!” She cursed in frustration

“It’s an angel with a foul mouth!” Another crew member pointed out.

“Everyone turn around … so I can cut you free!” Jabnil ordered. The men did as they were told and she started to cut them free as quickly as she could.

Boarding

Nya guide the Scarlet Dragon alongside the Famished Mane and ordered the sails dropped. At the same time the grappling lines and hooks took hold of the other ship and boarding planks fell across the two ships. The Scarlet Dragons board parties raced across … but even though they had been fast, the red haired elf was even faster. Amlugeth sprang across so fast some members of the crew thought she had used some form of magic!

Captain Ulmug Tesserrod

Jura’s bolt had struck the correct Orc. Captain Ulmug Tesserrod was dead. But the demon inside of him could not be killed so easily. The eyes of Captain Tesserrod suddenly glowed red. The crumbled body got back on its feet and pulled out its great cutlass. The demon would kill all the boarders and then all the people on the Scarlet Dragon except perhaps the busty redheaded Captain. It would keep her alive so it could feast on her soul!

The demon was not alone and three other crew members of the Famished Mane eyes turned blood red too and were now under the control of their demon parasites.

Wulf had seen Jura's perfect shot and had roared out his own approval of the huge minotaurs precision. He had been right to place his faith in the big man. He was going to make a hell of a gunner.

"What are you standing around for you idiots," he yelled at the ballista crews. "Reload and take out their gun crews."

He looked around and knew the catapult crews were now useless at this distance. " Catapult crews, shields up and prepare to repel any boarders." The shields were large wooden planks that fit into slots in the decking and protected the weapon from balista bolts. It took the crews a minute to have them in place then they stood ready with their weapons drawn.

He turned back to the battle on the Famished Mane and saw the Captain begin to stand up, the large bolt still sticking through his head. What the hell was going on there. What evil was this. Then he saw his eyes glow a deep red and knew. The stupid captain had not only worshiped the demons but had allowed one to possess him. Of all the foolish...

They were in real trouble now. They would have to hack him to pieces or hit him with a holy weapon. Luckily his hammer had been blessed by his priestess during it's forging and had holy runes etched on it but he doubted it would banish a demon of this caliber. He would be able to hurt it though he hoped. What they really needed was Jabnil. Her holy weapons would be very useful about now.

He drew his large warhammer and prepared to board the other ship when he saw three other Orcs closer to him transform as well. Oh by the nine levels of Hel.
"Captain there are four Demons aboard that ship. The captain is the most powerful but there are three others as well. They won't feel pain and will keep fighting until chopped up. We need holy weapons so if you have any get them and for gods sake get Jabnil."

So saying he launched himself at the closest of the demon possessed and hit him with a mighty blow right in the chest.

Amlugeth moved so quickly onto the other ship she didn't see the Orc Captain get up until she was already on board. She saw he was watching the ship she just came from so she turned around in hope to help Jabnil, but instead saw another Orc standing in front of her and it had glowing eyes like the Captain. Amlugeth crouched slightly as she pulled both of her elven daggers out and got ready to attack. At the Orc lunged at her she veered to her right and stuck her left foot out to trip him. The Orc kept his balance but was now pissed off that he missed her and she made him trip. He came at her swinging wildly with his broad sword. Amlugeth glanced around and saw some crates in the corner and quickly made her way to them and then climbed up before the Orc got to her. When he got to the crates he started tossing them aside to get to Amlugeth. She jumped up and did a flip to land behind the Orc. Before he could turn around she took both her red and silver daggers and plunged them deep into the back of his neck. The orc stumbled forward and as he started to fall Amlugeth removed her daggers. She backed up but kept watching the orc. She saw the captain get up after he had a ballista shot threw him so she wasn't taking any chances.

Oh Hell

There are many kinds of demon in this world. All of them are extraplanar beings. The demon lords, garliks, shadow demons and some of their specialized creations are from one particular plane. Other “demons” related to “hell” are from another plane. The Hell plane is not the place envisioned by most commoners. Hell has 9 planes or layers that are interconnected. This is where the famous expression “By the nine layers of hells” came from. Much has been written about the origin of the demons in the hell planes. Souls that have done wrong on the material plane that are reborn on the hell planes is one theory. That theory has numerous problems such as why are almost all the souls of the dead are found on the “dead or death” plane and not on any of the hell planes. Nevertheless, what is known about demons from hell is that they fall into two types. Those that are trying to become good by doing good deeds and thus leave hell (a small group) and those that are trying to rise up the hell hierarchy by doing even greater evil. The demons in possession of the Orcs bodies on the Famished Mane fall into this last category.

Wulf’s hammer bow was massive and the sound of the cracking ribs could be heard on both ships. The possessed Orc was thrown backward across the boarding plank back onto the Famished Mane in a crumpled heap. Wulf advanced over the plank and boarded the chelish warship. The Orc with the broken ribs was back on its feet in seconds. As Wulf had explained already, a normal Orc with that many broken ribs would be in too much pain to fight effectively. But the possessed Orc had no such limitation.

“I shall enjoy sucking on your soul HUMAN!!” the Orc growled and began to distribute a series of powerful sword blows aimed at removing Wulf’s head from his body!

Jura

Jura heard Wulf’s order "Reload and take out their gun crews." And he swung his massive ballista around to one of the four small ballistea on the Famished Mane. His bolt fired and hit the enemy’s ballista. There was a cracking sound as parts of enemy weapon scattered into pieces some fell into the sea.

The other forward and aft ballista teams on the Scarlet Dragon reloaded and took out members of the enemy gun crews. Yesterday’s gunnery practice had turned the Scarlet Dragon crew into a deadly fighting machine. After the exchange of fire, only one of the enemy ballista remained manned and operational, the other two’s gun crews had been killed and Jura shot had disabled the fourth. The return ballista fire had been poorly aimed with a majority of the bolts landing into the side of Scarlet Dragon’s hull. One bolt almost hit Nya as she continued to adjust the Scarlet Dragon’s position alongside the Famished Mane, but the Sailmaster ducked in time so the bolt flew over her head.

The exchange of fire was so one-sided that Orcs started to drop their weapons and throw up their hands, surrendering to the boarders. Jura was pleased his gun crew had done their duty like true … minotaurs! But his joy was short lived, as his eyes noted the Orc Captain he had killed was back on his feet. And to make matters worse Red was fighting that monster!!

Red

Red had heard Wulf’s warning and knew that possessed people/creatures would be very difficult to kill. The possessed Orcs would kill most of her crew (and the famished Mane crew as well) if she did not do something quickly. “You have the deck and the conn” She yelled to Nya as she ran across the quarterdeck, grabbed a hanging rope from the yardarm and swung over to the Famished Mane in pirate swashbuckling style. She landed on the quarterdeck right in front of the possessed Captain Ulmug Tesserrod.

“Ok Demon … time for you to go back to HELL” she yelled as two exchanged a series of sword blows. She had fought possessed people before and knew they were stronger and faster than normal. But the power in this possessed Orc was beyond what expected. It must have been a very powerful demon that had hold of the dead Captain.

The Demon and Red fought an epic battle on the Quarterdeck. Spark flying as their blades struck. But Red could not block the demon’s blows directly, they were just too powerful. So she was doing a lot of dodging, ducking and deflecting of the demon’s cutlass.

“Stop running … you foolish CUNT, you cannot win this battle and I thirst for your soul!” The demon growled.

Red just smiled at the comment as she slipped behind the large helm of the Famished Mane to avoid another smashing cutlass attack.

“The longer I delay you here … the stronger I become! The non-possessed Orcs are already surrendering. You are the fool!” Red replied. It was not the smartest thing she had ever said as she had just told the demon her plan. But she was confident she could keep avoiding the demon’s attacks until Jabnil, Blade, Wulf or someone else came to assist her.

The demon screamed in frustration as it suddenly realized most of the Orcs had surrendered to the crew of the Scarlet Dragon. It also saw crew members of the Vorsfang freed and putting out the fires on their stricken ship.

In that maddened state it struck at the helm of the Famished Mane and blasted it to pieces. The blow had been so powerful wood chucks of the helm flew away in all directions. Unfortunately for Red, the large steer wheel hit her directly; her cutlass went flying away from her, Lennix knocked from her shoulder and Red ended up on the deck pinned under the large piece of wood.

Sensing victory, the demon chuckled wickedly as it walked over to finish her off. "I will enjoy THIS!” The demon laughed as it got ready to bit into Red’s neck and suck her soul away!

Amlugeth

Amlugeth was wise to continue to watch the demon she had struck with her daggers. For it had not died, not by a long shot. The dagger blows to its neck would have killed a normal Orc, but not a possessed one. The thing got back up and turned around as green blood sprayed up from the neck wounds. The blood stopped suddenly.

“Magic runs this body now … silly Elf!” the thing growled as it advance on Amlugeth. It would not take wild swings at the Elf this time. It would take its time and fight with power, crushing the weak elf under its blade!

The fourth Demon and Jabnil

As Jabnil came topside on the Vorsfang she sensed the 4 extraplanar beings on the Famished Mane. One was fight Wulf, one Amlugeth, and the most powerful demon was exchanging sword bows with Captain Red. The fourth demon was surrounded by dead bodies and had re-manned a ballista on the Famished Mane. With its enhanced strength the demon aimed the ballista at Scarlet Dragon’s boarding party with deadly effect. Jabnil decided she needed to pay that demon a visit first.

Jabnil launched herself into the air and two wing flaps later she was flying at high speed toward the demon. She had little time for thought, but she was wondering why the demon did not turn around as she approached. She knew demons could sense angels just like she could sense them. But this demon seemed not to realize she was approaching.

With no defensive moves from the unaware demon , Jabnil dual blade cleanly cut the demon’s head in half … at the eye level and at the neck level. Without eyes to see or a head to bite with the possessed body was much less a threat. She landed in front of the wildly flailing body and dismembered it. Without arms and legs … the thing was no longer a threat.

Blade

The attack was under way and as usual Blade was nowhere on deck. Instead he was on the mast, running along it, with a perfect flip he landed on the enemy ship's mast and ran along it. Arm held wide for balance, blades flickering in the rising sun. The gunners in the crow's nest did not know what hit them, they had not seen anybody in the boarding ship's crow's nest, assumed there was nobody and turned their crossbow fire to the boarding crew.

Blade landed lightly in the crow's nest, blades flashing with vicious intent, sailors dieing on their feet and falling lifeless to the bottom of the crow's nest. Then a huge blow rocked the ship, he peered over the edge of the nest to see Red pinned and the supposedly dead Orc captain bending over her...was he about to bite her? What the fuck was that shit?

Blade threw one dagger, it severed a rope and using this rope as anchor he jumped from the crow's nest on to the mast. Running back towards the Scarlet, he launched himself, the rope grew taut and pulled him backwards. His aim was perfect, he twisted enough and yelled as loud as he could, "Pasarela pollas puta!!!" (Gangway cocksucking whore) The Orc paused and Blade's two feet hit him square in the face with enough force to throw him backwards.

The impact shook Blade's hold on the rope and he landed rather ungraceful on his back. But he was up in an instant, blades flickering in the light, pinning the Orc to the deck, "Now...stay." Not wasting any time, he went about to free Red, as he pulled her free, he saw the Orc pulling itself free and pull the daggers out of its hands, arms, lower legs and feet, then it snarled at him, "Another soul! GOOD!"

"Aw shit."

Blade shoved Red away and ducked under the Orc's attack, crouching at the ready with daggers, "What the fuck is wrong with your eyes? Didn't they tell your mother that glowing eyes is so last century?"

Wulf had been surprised when the Orc had risen so easily after his blow. He had thought the enchantments on his warhammer would have had at least some effect on the beast. However it came on strong at him again and he had little time to attack as he used all his wits and strength to fend the creature off.

A couple more of it's viscous strikes whistled past his ears and then he was able to whip his hammer around again and punch it into his chest from the side, again breaking it's whole right side ribcage. This time the Orc stayed down longer and Wulf launched attacks at it's knees crippling it. He could see the wounds trying to heal themselves but it was taking far longer than before.

"You Stinking whoreson of a barbarian Slut. I will feast on your entrails before I eat your soul for this," screamed the demon.

Wulf laughed as he swatted the beasts weapon away and then caved in it's chest again and again, crushing it's heart then for good measure and with one mighty blow crushing it's head to a foul green paste. He waited a full thirty seconds to see if he could detect any sign that it was healing itself before running to help the captain with the biggest Demon, hoping to catch it by surprise from behind.

Amlugeth watched as the Orc slowly approached her, her muscles ready at any moment to do whatever she wanted. She didn't take her eyes off the Orc, she knew her timing had to be exact to slow the Orc down. She knew she couldn't kill it, but if she could keep it busy and not let it kill her, then the others would not have to worry about it until later. Amlugeth had a full nights sleep, even if it was at her desk, so she was not going to tire very soon. As the Orc got within reach he watched Amlugeth as if he thought he could predict her movement. Just as he went to swing his broadsword at her midsection, Amlugeth fell to the floor, rolled between his legs and sliced both daggers across the backs of his calves!

The Orc howled with pain, but did not go down like she thought he would. Instead he turned around and barely missed hitting Amlugeth as she tumbled away. She rose quickly to her feet, she knew her daggers would be no match for his broadsword. They were little and thin and his broadsword added about three feet to his reach! Yet the daggers were all she had at the moment. She remembered when her mom gave her the daggers and told her that they held special powers but never told her what the powers were. Just then the Orc took another swing at Amlugeth and she did the only thing she could do, raise up her daggers against the broadsword. The red dagger glowed and she felt strength and power flow through her. When the blue one glowed also she felt a calm, peaceful feeling, no longer worried about the Orc. As the broadsword struck the daggers it stopped. Both Amlugeth and the Orc looked stunned. The Orc was bigger, stronger and with a demon in control should be more powerful, but as it struck the daggers it was like his strength was frozen and Amlugeth's strength was magnified! Amlugeth pushed up against the broadsword and it flew back, not out of the Orc's hands, but away from Amlugeth.

Jura

The big minotaur knew the battle between the two ships was down to killing the remaining possessed orcs. The rest of the crew of the Famished Mane had surrendered. So Jura did not need to stay at his gunnery station. However, he was manning the biggest and baddest weapon on either side. He may not be able to kill the possessed orcs with a bolt … but he sure could slow them down. He looked for a target; Jabnil had sliced her possessed orc up in a matter of seconds. So he moved his aim to Red’s possessed orc. He, of course, wanted to help Red, but now Blade was in the area and Wulf would be there soon too. It was just too crowded to fire his ballista into that crowd. So he retargeted on Amlugeth’s possessed Orc. He saw as she somehow threw back the creature’s powerful sword blow. With the orc's hands high in the air it was exactly the right time to fire. He adjusted his aim and fired.

The bolt zipped through the air and plunged into the Orc’s left shoulder, throwing the creature back against the quarterdeck bulkhead with a loud thud. The bolt had destroyed the orc’s shoulder and made its left arm useless. Unfortunately, the Orc was right handed and pulled itself free from the bulkhead and headed back towards Amlugeth. The redheaded elf was ready for it and seemed to have a plan, so Jura held his fire until he had a clean shot. He just hoped her plan was a good one!

Red

Blade had rescued her from the destroyed helm. But she had barely gotten to her feet when he pushed her towards her dropped cutlass and away from possessed orc captain slicing sword. She did a small forward dive and roll, recovered her weapon and was back on her feet. The orc was busy with Blade and so it was a great opportunity for her to strike.

“Hey UGLY … take this!” she screamed as she leapt into the air and delivered a huge overhead blow that split opened the orc’s head. The cutlass was stopped midway through the orc captain’s head by the ballista bolt still lodged there. It was unfortunate as had her sword continued it would have sliced off half the orc’s head and part of his shoulder. Instead, Red had only disfigured the orc ... nothing more. The demon could still see, even though the orc’s brains flowed down his face and neck. Red tumbled down on the deck again, rolled and stood up next to Blade.

“Well … I think he has a splitting headache now” she joked to Blade as the Orc approached.

“Time for you to Split” Blade said and shoved Red away again. By pushed Red away, Blade had made it so the demon would need to decide who, Red or Blade, to attack first.

“A split decision … very clever” Red joked to Blade as the Orc turned on her. “But first you want me in your arms … and then you push me away … Blade, do you have a split personality?”

The Orc SCREAMED as it raised its sword to cut Red in half. Red just stood there. The sword came whistling down as her as she nimbly stepped aside. The sword only caught a small part of her red hair and sent it flying.

“I think he is splitting hairs now!” Red yelled as her cutlass slammed into the Orc’s thick leg breaking the bone with a loud CRACK.

"Take that ... no one fucks with my HAIR!" Red yelled at the orc.

Wulf was torn. He had been advancing across the deck and had seen the way blade and red seemed to have the Orc captain in hand and had looked towards Amlugeth and saw her in trouble and had been about to head in her direction when he had seen her throw her Orc back across the deck. Her daggers had been glowing so he assumed some magic was involved but still he was impressed.

Of course it got straight back up and he was still going to head over when a huge bolt appeared in it's left shoulder completely destroying it. Jura was in fine form today and with the bolt still in it The Orc would not be able to heal the wound. He saw Amlugeth smile and realized she may have a plan and looked back towards the captain.

Although she had managed to slice his head in Half and break one of his legs the Captain was still going after her and healing itself. He also knew that unlike the small elf they could not parry the beasts attacks. With a roar of fury he launched himself at the beast hoping to draw it's attention away from his captain and the courage's Blade beside her. He knew he had a chance of defending against it and that either they could cause enough damage while he did or he could slip in a blow of his own.

Crap ... I'm starting to hate this guy!

The possessed Orc SLAPPED Red away with a swipe of its hand. The blow to Red’s side sent her flying towards Blade, who pivoted and caught the captain in his arms. In a smooth motion he planted a kiss on her lips at almost the same time. It was a quite a display of strength and body control.

The massive Orc heard Wulf’s roar of fury and turned to face him. Unfortunately it was a second too late as Wulf’s war hammer crashed into the Orc’s arm which was trying to block the weapon’s attack. The sound of the hammer connecting was followed by a “creaking” sound as the Orc’s arm was broken. The hammer blow was so powerful it also caused the Orc to stumble backwards. This should have been the end of the possessed Orc, but the Demon inside was very powerful. The body of the Orc glowed for a second all the damage done to it was healed. Even its head came back together, although the ballista bolt was still sticking out both sides of its head.

“NOW YOU WILL ALL DIE!!” it screamed and charged at Wulf, blood and spittle spraying out of its mouth.

"Crap ... I'm starting to hate this guy!" Red said to Blade as she returned to her feet.

Blade

A long time ago, and that would be a time so long ago that even some of the younger gods might have forgotten that it have happened, there was a weapon forged by Nature that could kill demons. In fact this weapon was so strong that it could kill anything in existence and it was feared by Good and Evil alike. Wars was fought not because Good and Evil could not co-exist, it was fought over this weapon. As all forged by Nature, the weapon was sentient and it realized that its existence not only was the cause of fear, it was the very cause for the wars and endless deaths. So the weapon did what nobody thought it could do. It disintegrated.

Parts of the weapon was never found, though every now and then trace elements of it did surface. Forged correctly, these elements could make a weapon so powerful that even gods had to fear it, for instance the sword wielded by Death's champion, Maut el Feres. Deathsong.

Not all weapons forged with these trace elements are so prominent in their destructive ways though, some are not even known to have the power until they pierce the very essence of evil or good beings.

The orc captain screamed and charged at Wulf, Blade knew that the big man could look after himself, but against this Orc? Well the only way to really get a big guy to go down is to dump him in the drink. And for that he needed a barb. He sidled close to Red and with a sly pinch of her well-formed behind, he stole her stiletto dagger, "I'll take that one cap'n."

He bounded for a rope, tied one end to the hilt of the dagger and ran towards the two combatants, with agility which belied his weakened state, he jumped and landed on the Orc's back, dagger sinking deep into the now-healed head. The scream which came from the Orc was not what Blade expected, the dagger glowed red-hot, burning the rope free and Blade barely had enough time to slip from the Orc's back and duck away before the whole Orc burst into an intense white flame.

In fact the flames was so powerful that the Orc was consumed even before more serious damage could be done to the deck than a deep scorch mark. With a loud thunk, Red's stiletto dagger landed blade first in the deck. Blade stared at the heap of ash, the dagger and then at Wulf and Red, "Uhm...yay?"

Wulf was shocked and looked at the spot where moments before the Orc captain had stood. All that was left was a blackened scorch mark and a stiletto dagger. He tried to puzzle out what had happened but then the sounds of sword on sword brought him back to reality and he remembered Amlugeth.

He looked over and saw her still fighting with her possessed Orc and rushed over to help her. The way she was going she would probably not need his help, but on the off chance it would be best if he got there as soon as possible.

He sprinted across the deck littred with dead bodies and broken pieces of wood and equipment. He hoped he would make it in time if she needed his help, he liked the Elf. She had a fighting spirit that matched his own and a certain something about her.

Amlugeth glanced around to see what she could use to help her gain advantage. She noticed a nice pile of rope on the ground, maybe if she could lure the orc over that way he could trip on the rope. Amlugeth manuevered it so the orc could get closer to the rope, just as she was about to make her move she saw a burst of flame across the deck. Red, Blade and Wulf stood there and watched. With her eyes off the orc for that split second he managed to slice across her left arm causing her to cry out from the pain.

As he ran Wulf began to notice that Amlugeth was bleeding. It had been hard to see from a distance because her Tattoos were glowing red, but as he got closer he could see the blood dripping on the deck. Oh hell she might be strong but a wound like that would start to sap any warriors strength.

The good thing was the stupid orc was so concentrated on her that he had not heard his approach, the bad thing he was pretty sure Amlugeth hadn't either. hoping the slight delay wouldn't cost her her life, Wulf diverted his charge a little to come up from behind and to the right of the beast. This not only put him in Amlugeth's sight, but his charge took him towards the Orc's uninjured arm.

When he was still a good ten paces away he raised his mighty hammer then when he was in range he launched himself upwards and then came crashing down with all his might and weight on the Orcs shoulder. He heard bones shattering and a loud scream as he fell to the deck and he only hoped Amlugeth could take advantage of the situation or he was probably dead as he now lay defenseless on the ground.
