The Raven (closed)

"I started planning it out with Durban an' some of the lumberjacks an' stonemasons," Boar nodded, thinking back to the plans. "Shouldn't take long once it starts... but we can go back t'the other house if y'feel up to it... Th'real reason I'm askin' you t'wait is because I 'ave t'work, an' ye'll need someone around while I'm gone. Tha's a lot easier fer everyone if we're here, but I can probably work somethin' out."

"I don't want to be a burden to anyone...especially to you, Boar." Emma said softly. "If me staying at home would make you worry, then I will stay right here until things are better. I don't like the idea, but if it's the best for everyone then I suppose I can suffer for a while longer."

"It's best fer you an' the boys, regardless of anyone else," Boar told her as he touched her cheek. "Thank you, darlin'... I'm tryin' t'make this easier, I really am."

It was about another two weeks before Emma was able to carry either one of the boys, but she couldn't manage both at the same time. It was once she could do this without too much difficulty that Vincenzo sent her home with Boar, saying he'd check in every other day.

It felt good to finally be home. Emma was happier, smiling more when Boar was around and caring for the boys more on her own. There were still moments when she was incredibly overwhelmed, but she didn't ever let on to her husband that she needed help. Her stubborn pride refused to let her admit defeat in any way.

Boar didn't work nearly as much as he had before, nor was he being practically driven into the ground any more, so he returned home with some energy to spare for the boys and for Emma, and he had more time at home.

One night after Leon and Eli had gone to sleep in their crib, Boar settled beside Emma with a long sigh on their sofa, leaning back and giving her a smile.

"What's that smile for?" Emma asked him as she folded a fresh set of baby blankets, glancing towards her husband as he relaxed and grinned at her in the manner that only a Ghis could. "The last time you gave me that smile, I ended up pregnant."

With a deep chuckle, he shook his head, "It's not a crime t'be content, love. I'm jus'... happy. I'm home in Inverness, I've got two 'andsome lads t'raise, an' I've got th'love of my life beside me. What more could a man ask for?"

"You could have come back a long time ago, you know. Brogan would have given you a position in his court. You wouldn't have met me, though. I would have probably died on that cliff in Inverlochly." Emma murmured, tucking the blankets away in a basket before she leaned back to finally relax. "I'm happy I didn't. I'm also happy you convinced me to have children. Leon and Eli are the bright spot in my life."

"Well, with 'ow much I get on yer nerves, I figured ye'd like someone else t'talk to when I get in trouble," Boar murmured and wrapped an arm about her shoulders. "But in all honesty, I nearly gave up. After th'way my Da treated my family, I was afraid I'd end up like him. I'm probably th'most like him out o' all my siblings."

"I didn't think I would be a good mother." Emma said softly as Boar confessed that he felt like he was his father sometimes. "Mine wasn't good. I don't understand how someone can give birth to a child and then work so hard to ignore it. I guess that's why I feel so bad for missing so many moments of their first days."

"Some parents view their children as pawns... tools once they're old enough t'be useful," Boar sighed quietly. "Tha' was how Da treated us on 'is better days. But we're not our parents, Em. At th'very least, my Da an' yer parents taught us what not t'do, an' we won't be people like them."

Emma nodded, believing him when he said that they would be nothing like their parents. They were loving and had a good relationship. That was already better than what their parents had shown one another during their lifetime.

Emma leaned across the short distance and pulled Boar into a gentle kiss, her lips lingering on his for a moment past decent.

Boar chuckled at the slightly lengthy kiss, and he smiled down at her. "Wha' was that for, love?" He loved to tease her when she showed him affection.

"Because I wanted to." Emma said as she stared into his eyes.

Her hands reached for the belt of his kilt, pulling the loop free as she continued to look at him. "And I think my husband deserves thanks for everything that he's done for me. Are you going to stop me when I wrap my lips around your length?"

He could never quite get over how forward she was nor how absolutely sure she was when she wanted something. "Have I ever?" He asked with a smirk as he got past his surprise.

"Good." Emma said as she moved from her spot and knelt in front of Boar, soon pulling his kilt aside and opening his trousers. "Because I've certainly missed this."

She wasn't ready for sex herself, but she did enjoy making him feel good. Once his hardening length was pulled into view, she immediately brought the head to her lips, suckling on it as she worked to get him as hard as steel.

Boar had always been easily swayed by Emma's physical love, and that certainly hadn't changed even over their time apart in her late pregnancy and in her long sleep and weakness. If anything, he was aching for her attention and it showed in how quickly his shaft hardened and rose to meet her, and in how his broad hands caressed her own and her shoulders and one came to tangle instinctively in her hair.

Emma let out a sigh as she felt his broad hands gently brushing over her hair before curling into her locks. She glanced up towards his face, taking in the excitement in his dark eyes. It had been a long time since she had been with Boar, but she wanted to show him just how much she appreciated everything that he had done for her over the last few weeks.

Her lips sank across his length, taking as much as she could into her mouth as she sought so desperately to love him in the way that she knew he loved.

A soft grown left Boar's lips and he let his head drop back with a pleasured sigh. "Y'beauty, Em..." he murmured. For all of their disagreements and frustration now and then, their relationship was balanced by their love. The physical part of that love wasn't the most important part, but it certainly simmered frustrations and they knew how to please one another better than any past partner either had been with.

His soft groans and growls were like music to her ears. She let out another sigh as one of her hands came to rest against his strong thigh while her other hand moved to cup his balls, massaging the globes in time with her bobbing along his stiff length.

Boar could never last terribly long under such attention from his love, and beneath the hand which lay on his thigh, she could feel his muscles tighten before he let out a long, deep moan and his seed spilled forth into her mouth. Slowly, he relaxed back against the sofa, his chest suddenly heaving as if he'd run miles thanks to her pleasurable assault. "Emma..." he breathed, unable to get hold of himself for a moment.

Emma accepted his release, drinking down every drop until she gently cleaned him with her tongue and tucked his shrinking member back into his trousers. She glanced up at him as he murmured her name, his chest heaving as he tried to suck in enough air. She rose from her spot on the ground and pressed her lips against his own, settling herself against his broad chest as they both relaxed in the aftermath.

"You deserved that and more." Emma murmured softly as her head found its favorite spot against his shoulder.

"An' so d'you," he grunted in return when his head came to rest against her own. "Next time I make love t'you, Em... I'm gonna love you like ye've never 'ad before," he promised in almost a whisper before pressing a kiss to her dark hair.

Emma was quiet as he made that promise. She wasn't sure what the future held and she definitely wasn't sure what would happen when they became intimate again. She had no trouble loving Boar, but when it came to herself, that was almost too much to think about. Her body had changed completely, fuller hips, larger breasts, and a scar on her belly. Perhaps he wouldn't like what he saw when he took her to bed for that first time.

Instead, Emma wrapped her arm around his chest, holding her husband tightly for dear life. She didn't want to think about him growing tired of her any time soon. She needed to believe that Boar would still cherish and protect her as he always had. Soon, her eyes closed and she drifted off into a familiar and exhausted sleep.

Vincenzo's next visit was all good news for both Emma and her boys, as were the others over the course of a few weeks until he decided he didn't need to check in on her any more. In that time, Leon truly began to prove that he was the louder of the twins though he cried less often, and he seemed to need much less attention to be happy. Eli was absolutely his mother's son and he clung to her and enjoyed her attention the most. It was quite possible Eli was the only one who could love Emma more than Boar.
