If there was a federal sales tax, then I agree the federal government would see more money. As it stands now, the federal government might get some income from investments. but with all the tax codes concerning capital gains you have to be an irresponsible (to the client) to not inform them of how they can lighten their tax burden.

How do you define "Communist?" Martin Luther King was not a member of the American Communist Party. By my definition he was not a Communist.

Communist Party members were active in the civil rights movement. That says good things about the American Communist Party. It does not mean that the civil rights movement was controlled by the American Communist Party.

Toward the end of his life King began to think that some form of socialism would be necessary to lift blacks out of poverty. If the United States slips into the Second Great Depression, socialism will once again become a popular ideal in the United States.
