The Rush Limbaugh appreciation thread

Appreciate

I do appreciate the fact that Rush Limbaugh will soon not be with us. Tomorrow would be not soon enough.

^^^

Hateful left wing zero.

Ironic that Rush spoke about how counter productive hate is during the opening moments of today's show.
All these virulent critics of Rush Limbaugh have never listened to anything more than snippets of his show that are designed to create an incorrect impression about him.
Listeners may not agree with him, but Limbaugh does not spew hate and does not ridicule callers.

I haven't seen or heard another talk show host with as much appreciation for his callers.

While I agree with some of what Limbaugh talks about, he is pretty extreme, as well as divisive. I think giving him that award was over the top, as well as where it was given to him. I voted for Trump once, and probably will again, but I really wish he made some different choices at times. #1 would be deleting twitter account.

It's ironic that he claimed that smoking doesn't cause lung cancer.

That didn't age well.

That's about how I feel as well. Some of what Rush said made sense, but a lot of it was inflammatory bullcrap. I'm not "Glad" he's sick with cancer (that's pretty vindictive) but I'm not anything else about him, other than, there were far more deserving people for that award than him.

Sure there are but none that would trigger liberals out of their fucking minds like choosing Limbaugh. :)

You have a good point there, but I doubt Trump came up with it himself, sounds more like a Hannity idea.

See that's the problem a lot of people have with Limbaugh- we need less "Triggering" and more rational debate. Less polarization and more consensus. All he did was polarize- and by no means is the Left innocent of doing the same kind of thing, by the way.

And by a lot of people you mean liberals. Most conservatives don't have a problem with him. Name a successful political talk show host that isn't polarizing. :)

Why is it that the same people who are opposed to waterboarding known terrorists are ok with celebrating the sliw, torturously painful death of someone that they disagree with politically?

I wouldn't wish dying of lung cancer on my worst enemy.

From what I read though, the people more than just disagree with him on a political level, there is also a racial and social level that Rush seems to have tread over as well.

I don't really know much about the man, I know of a bunch of quotes from him. Some quite disturbing, but I also have no context of those quotes. Honestly since he is about American issues, I have no opinion on him.

I'm familiar with Buckley. He had a way of kicking someone's ass and they would get it a week later. :)

The only think "racist" about Trump is that he is not a Democrat. None of us care about that meaningless label anymore.

Even if it's true and it's emphatically not, that still says that they are in favor of Islamic jihadis who are certainly xenophobic over Republicans. .
