At the town Joach finally said his goodbyes to the man. He couldn't really remember his name, but found it better this way. The man had something about him, something that Joach didn't like, but found himself drawn too. Power, perhaps, but whatever it was, it was big.
Joach looked over at Froggie, "Shall we try to get some work?"
The frog nodded, catching a fly on his tongue.
"That's all and good for you, but I need something a little more nurishing."
Joach walked into several stores, but none of them needed a helping hand, finally a bakery gave him a good job.
"You are going to deliver the bread around the village and some neighboring places."
Joach loved the idea, the smell of baking bread in the background added to this.
"Come on now, your first delivery is to old lady Watters. She lives on the far side of town in a weathered cottage. Hurry up."
The man handed Joach a bag of bread. In a flash Joach was out of the store and running toward the other side of the village.
