The Seven Keys.

Tela loved being in her wolf form and running with the pack, there was something about running threw the woods, in wolf form that always gave her a sence of peace. She gladly followed the Old One's lead. She Hoped that they would find both the pup that the pack sought, and the wise woman she herself sought.

Baddies
Peloor appeared in front of the ogre. He looked at the Wizard Goven and decided that his battle was to defeat them .. He headed towards goven and slashed his falcon towards him striking his staff.

*******

Nexus looked over and prayed loudly .. then suddenly peloor looked about him and homed in on his discomfort.. they had a priest with them did they.. .. he looked raised his hand and fired a shot against Nexus .. who was hit inthe cneter of her chest.. heaving she fell over a bit. then closed her eyes to prepare another spell.

Snider grunted in gratitude fro the healing orb the girl gave him and decided there needed to be some double teaming he screamed at Nexus, "Allow my weapons to penetrate the ghost as well!!!"

Nexus distracted from the screams at her.. she stoped working on her next attack and casted the spell upon Snider's weapons..

She seemed to have one last strong spell left in her .. closing her eyes she concentrated further.. if she could hold the apparation the rest woul be able to finish him off.. Pull the slip of her injured self .. she uncovered her symbol upon the swell of her left breast.
And Casted the spell.

Peloor who was in mid swing with goven .. suddenly stopped and looked over to Nexus.. He got one more blast at her before her spell reacted with him adn caused him to stay in that position.

Nexus not watching for the blast got hit again. in the same spot.. and crumpled into herself.

Peloor fought with the effects of the spell and knew he had moments before he would get free.

Tildiir went through the mechanics of getting ready for the ball, but his mind was else where. He thoguth of how hard it had been for him to get through these last twenty odd years .. and now he would be able to watch his daughter mature into her adulthood.

He knew for sure that she would live longer than humans.. the question was ... what her mother gave her. He knew that trait of color in her hair was inheirted by Calixte .. she had been been such a wonderous woman.. and he wondered how much of her
personality went into his daughter.. whom ironically had no idea she was named after her mother.

He knew now that he had to show her what his family held. Every heir to the throne had held this item. It was one that would pass down due to the blood the heir carried that they were allowed to touch it. It was a kind of proof that the person was fit to reign over the realm.

After the Ball Tildiir would take Cali down to the crypt ..

The attack caught Goven by surprise, seeming as the ghost was engaged in battle with the ogre. He barely had time to guard with his staff when the sword struck.
The staff hurled away from his hand, spinning end on end away from him, as he fell flat back.
Other spells seemed to be hitting him with force. He countered, and spoke with quiet subtlety that seemed all but lost in the fierce battle.
Goven closed his eyes, his hand low to the ground, calling his sword back. It spun, once more, this time towards him, catching his hand.
He let the staff touch the king in the chest, as ice formed from the spot, crystals grew around him, out his appendages, encasing him in cold glass. As he got up, dusting himself off, he could only smile.
"My lord," He spoke, bowing properly, as the spells effects were beginning to wear off already. It was a weak spell, but didn't need to be anything more.
"It has been a pleasure."
A dull quick thud resounded in the room. Goven looked over the King's shoulder to see an axe embedded deeply into his back. Goven gave a small smile, ice melting from his foe.
"You are beaten, my lord. You have fought well, though, bravely even. Your attempts to find a suitable heir to your key have been successful...."
Goven held out his hand.
"Don't make this harder than it has to be..."

Peloor only smiled at Goven's rant, " You see my foe.. I will have the last laugh"He bowed in defeat and then the axe went completely through him There was a bright blinding flash of light .. and the apparation dissappeared fizzled into the darkness.. again the tomb lay as it once was sealed this time the sword lay above teh glass. . a faint laughter could be heard ...

Goven gave a startled pause, as the laughter echoed away. He hadn't exactly planned on that, but it seemed to work either way. Tork just gave a curious look, as his blade had nothing more than a bit of frost on it.
"Good job, my old friend."
If Ogre's could smile, he believed that Tork would be dong so right now.
Everyone else seemed to be licking their wounds. His arm felt stiff, and weak, the staff had incredible power, but drained him something awful when he used it. Even now, it seemed to connect with some sort of energy inside him. It felt hard just to let the thing go.
Perfect. The staff was beginning to grow a will of its own. Just what he wanted.
In reponse to this, he took out a glove, put it on, and used that hand to hold the staff. The connection disappeared.
The sword, now lay on top of the glass, ready for him. He gave a smile to everyone else.
"Ladies and gentlemen," he leaned over, letting his fingers go under the handle, and picking it up, "Our first key..."

Re: Yrismir

The GrandMage said:
He shook his head, and sat down, sipping at his tea. "Would you like to join me for some tea? It's quite good, actually."

I smiled, happy to know he was okay. This whole council stuff- I took it as part of the journey and let him worry about it.
"I'd love some tea," I agreed, walking into the room with him. It, much like mine, was very lovely but not too practical. I'd been amoung merchents and workers too much, I thought, to understand elfin pretties.
I sat, warm tea cup in hand as I searched for words. Finely, I gave up and spat it out.
"Yris- um... I don't know how to say this in a way that's not slightly shocking so I'll spit it out. I'm Tilrdiir's daughter... least that's what he says. I mean, he knew my mother, though he's yet to say who or what she was other then his guard and that I look just like her. Which would explain why I bear him no resemblance I can see, I guess."
I was standing by now, fidgiting, "I mean, I expected something special but Elvin ROYALTY?!? That's... wow... and he wants me to stay here with him after we're done. To leave my life outside these lands, to abandon everything else. I don't think I can do that... I know I don't want to leave those I've meet for the rest of my life to learn the elvish ways...."
I trailed off finely and looked at him, wondering what his response would be- surely tamer then my own.

Yrismir

He looked up0 at her. "Yes, I know. I've known since the crypt. I thought there was something familiar about you, though we've never met."

He sipped at his tea, and smiled at her. "He just wants to spend time with you, you know. Parents only have so long with their chilkdren before they grow up and live their own lives. And he missed your childhood completely. Plus, you are the Elvin Heir. Even if-OH my God."

Yrismir stood, and turned, and then growled. "Of course the tomb was empty!" He turned back, smacking himself in the head. "The racers are immortal between Races The Tomb was empty because if he really had participated in the Race, he wouldn't have died between then! Elves may live a long time, but not long enough for..."

His eyes grew wide. "Peloor died because of a poison given to him by teh servants of the evil gods, who were trying to sabatoge the race, so they could win. But now there are no affects of..."

He sighed, and sat down, frowning. He picked up his teacup, and sipped at it before looking at Cali. "Yes, well, anyway, if we win the race, you'll live for a good long time. Long enough to see the ones you know grow old and die. But I'm sure the King won't mind you not living here as long as you visit for a month or two every year."

Trianna

OOC: Sorry, guys, havent had time to breath lately much less post.

IC: Trianna had been quiet for the time they were in the tomb. She had no clue to give and so, felt quite useless and had stayed close to Tana's side as the others searched.

Quite frankly she was overwhelmed with the pomp and circumstance of the palace and their royalty and she was quickly longing for her woods and home. The fact that her home was not too far away from the castly only made the homesickness worse.

But the Gods had decided that she had a part in this race and, even though she did not feel she had contributed much so far, she was determined to see it through.

After the fruitless search of the crypt, she had been led to her room which she had agreed to share with Tana and had spent the time sitting on the window sill looking out at the sky and woods with longing on her face.

When it began to get dark, she had pulled the small girl into her lap and pointed out the lights within the trees, telling her of what the wood elves would be doing right now. What each light meant and sang her some songs that would be playing within the trees themselves at that time.

As the night went on, she reluctantly slid Tana from her lap and announced that it would be time to be getting ready for the ball. How she wished she could go in her forest garb and with her bow and arrows but that would be inappropriate and so she chose a gown that was supplied by the king and helped Tana pick one out as well.

Going into the dressing room, she had helped the girl get ready and then had her go out into the other room with Growls while she readied herself.

Dressing in the flowing gown of saphire blue, she let the hem fall to the floor, brushing the ground. Lace and small beads were sewn around the hem and sleeves and small jewels sprinkled through the gown itself, a splendid example of elvin artistry.

The bodice of the gown was low and Trianna frowned, being more comfortable in her brown and green tunic. But this was a royal ball and she would hold to the standards of it.

Piling her hair on top of her head once again, she let the trendils of it curl around her face and placed a jeweled netting around it to hold it in place. Small jeweled earrings were set into her ears and a necklace around her neck of the same clear color lay between her cleavage.

Satin blue slippers completed the outfit and only just peeked from under her gown.

"I suppose it will do," She called to Tana as she heard a knock on the door...probably a servant telling them it was almost time for the ball.

When she did not hear any more from the small girl, she came out of the dressing room.

"Tana? Who was at the door...oh!" She stopped as she saw Ramas standing there. "I'm sorry, I thought it might be a servant telling us it was time for the ball."

Realizing she was showing no manners, she indicated a chair. "Please, sit down. I'm sorry for being rude."

Goven fell back, crumpling up in a corner, the sword falling to the floor, clatting to a stop at the foot of the tomb.
"Fucking bitch," He swore, holding his hand, although his hand didn't hurt, the pain was gone... almost like a bad dream, so smart and sensitive when you were asleep, but as you woke, as you returned to your body, the bruises fade into nothingness.
That's where they stood, on the verge of nothingness.
The pain smarted him most because he didn't expect it. He wonderd, if that's all it was, just a shock... a shock to his system, could he weild it?
Maybe, but it was smarter to try other options first.
"We can't touch it," He said, getting up and dusting himself off, "It's tied to royal blood. Unless someone from the blood line weilds it, it'll give off.. a.... warning of some kind. I'm not quite sure. I don't want to risk it..."
Not yet, anyway. Try it another way.
"Looks like we're going up to that ball anyway. Nexus, Snider. I need to know everything about the family bloodline. Is Tildiir the last? We may need his help, but I'd rather not grab him. People would notice he's missing. Maybe a cousin, or distant relative. Someone we can persuade to hold the sword for us..."
Goven looked down at the sword, now at his feet. So close... so far, and yet, so close.
"We should hurry. I have no doubt that by morning, someone will come back down here to try and figure this out."

Lucia and Cecilia

While Cecilia moved over to stand with Snider,Lucia snorted angrily and stomped over ot eh sword, glaring at it as if it would give up its secrets with a stern talking too.

"Well,we can't have anyone else getting this thing"

She ushered everything back and called up ehr own power, the faint aura rippling off her form like a heat haze, her hands gesturing slowly as the side holding the sword wavered, the air around the sword and tis protection untouched as the illusion was set into place,a heavily caved in wall of crushed stone, looking as if a stone pulled from it could drop the whole thing. In addition the wall felt solid, and with an extra moment of effort and a short gasp the illusion solidified, fooling teh senses, magical and normal, hardening it to feel like stone, and about as solid to anyone it touched, with no trace of magic easily found.

Lucia slumped against hte real wall, panting ands gasping a bit from exertion, her face a tad pale.

"That should....work....until we can do something else."

She looekd over to Goven and the otehrs, waiting.

Trianna appeared from the dressing room dressed in blue, her hair framing her face in a familiar way. So familiar that it sent my mind spiralling backwards. It went way, way back, fifty years ago to when I was twenty-five. It went back to the last day I saw Jasmine.

It was an unusually warm day for the time of year. Jasmine and I were locked in melee combat at the time as Lan watched from nearby. The only armor I wore was a breastplate. Was dressed in her blue robes, her dark hair up in a tight bun with a few loose strands falling about, swinging furiously with her staff. Lan watched with a furrowed brow and crossed arms, all the time barking instructions at us. Specifically, at Jasmine. She had come a long way in the ways of combat under Lan's tutelage, but she still found herself overwhelmed by my superior tactics. It wasn't her fault, I had been trained to fight since I could hold a sword.

"Keep him in front of you, Jasmine. Do not let him come from the flank. Do not let him circle," Lan barked. "Do not swing wildly like that!"

"Ramas is just too good for me. How can I fight someone so well versed in combat?" Jasmine asked while ducking under a swipe aimed high.

"Use your head, girl! Use the surroundings. Use your wits. Use your advantage!" Lan said.

"If you want to forfit, I'll understand hun," I teased her as I blocked another quarterstaff blow.

Jasmine brought the staff back quickly the other way. Not having time to block it with my blade, I ducked it more out of instinct than anything else. Her momentum carried her around and she went to the ground and grabbed her right ankle. I quickly snapped out of combat mode. Lan remained still.

"Jasmine, are you all right?" I asked her as I looked down at her.

"I think I rolled my ankle something awful," she replied.

Next thing I knew was my legs being swept from underneath me and Jasmine standing over me, smiling, her quarterstaff aimed at my throat. I chuckled.

"Excellent use of distraction, Jasmine," Lan said as he walked over to us. "That was a smart move to lure him in like that."

"Ramas is just a big softie," Jasmine teased as she helped me back to my feet. "He always has had a weakness for the damsel in distress." I gave her a look that was half denying the point and half conceeding to it. I dusted myself off.

"That's enough trainging for today. I've been pushing you two pretty hard these last few weeks," Lan said, ignoring Jasmine and my playful taunts as he always did. 'Take the rest of the day off and be ready to begin again tomorrow at noon."

"Yes sir," both Jasmine and I replied before scampering off on our own.

We spent the entire day wandering and exploring Lan's secluded grove. We found oldest trees, the clearest brooks, and ended up at the top of a waterfall by sunset. I had my sword sheathed at my side, a habit I picked up early in my training to become a knight. Actually, as a Vae, it was one of the earliest lessons I had to learn. The rule "A knight is always within arms reach of his weapon." It had served me well in the last few years. Jasmine pulled me close to her and rested her head on my chest.

"Jasmine, what is it that Lan is training us to become?" I asked her.

"I never really asked him that," She looked up at me. "He just said it was important. That I had a role to play in the future of the entire world."

"But if you're going to be so important, why does Lan keep me around? If I was him, I'd keep the distraction of a lover completely out of the questions," Jasmine gave me a quizzical look. "I'm only saying that it could cause problems with the whole learning process."

"I think he believes your combat ability, not to mention your undivided loyalty and support, will help me. In fact, if you haven't noticed, you've pretty much become my drill master. I've learned so much about the martial ways since you came here. You know how to relate to me, Ramas. You could teach me anything," Jasmine said. She always knew how to lift my spirits.

"I am so glad I found you..." I said, meaning both the first time I laid eyes on her and again after she vanished.

"So am I," she replied as our lips touched in a warm kiss. A kiss that should've lasted forever until...

"This is so touching I it makes me sick to my stomach," a cruel, familiar voice said. I spun around, scanning the shadows, the trees, any where he could be hiding.

"Snider!" I screamed as I drew my longsword. "SHow yourself you damn snake!

"Brother Ramas, still going around with your whore of a pauper I see," his voice hissed out of seemingly every corner. "I thought you would've learned your lesson the first time I had her sent away. I guess this needed a more permanent solution."

"I'm not frightened of you, Snider!" Jasmine called out as she readied her quarterstaff and produced a glowing ball of energy. "I'm more prepared to face you this time."

"Silly girl. You haven't been the only one honing your skills....." His voice trailed off. I took several steps forward, brandishing my sword about, searching for him.

Then my life changed in an instant.

I heard blades unsheath, followed quickly by a sloshing sound and the fizzling of a spell. I spun on my heel and focused on the most horriffic sight ever. Jasmine had a look of shock on her face, her staff still tightly clutching her staff. Two blades were protruding from her chest. The blades withdrew and Jasmine fell to the ground. Snider stood there, sneering. My eyes were wide with disbelief and filling with tears. Snider cokced his head to one side.

"Now Brother, you may not realize what I've done for you, but I have saved you. Saved you and our family from disgrace. Nobles should not go prancing around in the woods with common whores and the worthless wood elves as you have. You are a Vae and you have brought dishonor to our family."

"You're right Snider, I am a Vae," my grief turning quickly to rage, "but the difference between us is that I know what it means to be a Vae. We are protectors of what is right and just. Of what is good. We may be nobles, but we are champions of the common man. Of the common woman," I looked at Jasmine's lifeless form on the ground in front of me. "And it is you, who are the disgrace...."

I lept at my brother with a flurry of blows that took all of his concentration to dodge, block, or parry. But I was a man possessed. I demanded venegence. I wanted his blood on my sword. He would learn what it meant to cross a true Vae.

Snider was trickier than I gave him credit for. He avoided a sweeping swing and hit me with a stiff elbow to the small of my back that sent me down to the ground. I was near the ledge, mere inches from the fifty foot drop into the waters below. I rolled to my back just as he began his charge. I blocked his double strike, but he forced the blades closer and closer to my face.

"Goodbye brother," he seemed to cackle.

I spat in his face, then I brought both of my feet up into his belly and flipped him over my head and off the ledge, sending him tumbling to his death. I crawled over over to Jasmine's body and lifted her head. I cradled her in my arms for what seemed like an enternity. I let out a howl that Lan said he heard all the way down in his tower. I had lost Jasmine once more.

I snapped back into reality. I had just relived the worst day of my life in a very short time. I shook my head clear. I looked at Trianna.

"Sorry, memories were just stirred," I said as I sat down. "But it's nothing. Really. I was wondering if you were going to be attending the ball, but I can tell that you obviously are," I smiled sheepishly. Prehaps I even blushed. That was a first for me in a while.

"I was also wondering....." I took a deep breath and let out a sigh. "I haven't done this for a while."

Trianna

Trianna looked on in concern as Ramas seemed to mentally fade away, his eyes becoming distant. When he spoke, she jumped but was relieved to know that he was alright. She wondered exactly what had brought his memories flooding back as they seemed to have done.

Sitting opposite him, she cocked her head as he stammered about something he wished to do. Humans, though she did not carry the biggotry that many of her kin did thanks in large part to her father, were curious people.

"Yes," She said nodding down at her dress,"I am attending. Simply because I represent my woodland kin."

She sighed,"Were it up to me I would be in those woods now, practicing with my bow. My training has suffered, I'm afraid, from the inactivity on the ship. I do not wish to become rusty."

Trianna paused to let him finish what he was going to say and then prodded when he did not.

"If you have something on your mind, I would gladly listen," She said, leaning a bit forward,"You may speak frankly with me. You are among friends."

They had been traviling for a few days now, Tela and the other wolves rested for the night at the edge of the forrest, they still hadnt come across the pup they were seeking, but they were getting much closer to the neutral zone.
She didnt know how she new this, she just seemed to feel it, like a second sence, she hoped she would be able to help them find the pup before she headed into the neutal zone.
For she could not ask them to follow her it would be too dangerous, and she had no wish to endanger the old one or her pack.

"Ladies," Goven said, bowing to respect, "We're going away for a few minutes... we're not off on some quest that'll last years and years. If you wanted to protect it so bad, you could have just stayed here to guard it. I'm having Tork stay here. He wouldn't be good at the party.
"Tork..." The ogre, cleaning one of his wounds, grunted, "Would you guard this... here... ummm, rock? I suppose."
He sniffed at it, shook his head, and then went back to his wound. Goven could have sworn that was sarcasm, but he didn't have time.
Too many things at stake, unfortunately.
He went up to his room, preparing himself in more appropriate attire. His attire, had been appropriate beforehand, to be honest, but the recent fight had its many cuts, and dust covering it. He put one nice blue robes, and kept his staff with him.
He figured that there would be unwelcome guests at the ball. Best to be prepared.
He made his entrance, as all other elves before him. Bowing politely to all he saw. He moved across the room, a glass of champaigne in his hand.
Already, his eyes met severa old friends. He growled, but put a smile on just the same.
After all, this was a party.

I believe I blushed. Without a mirror, it was hard to tell. What the hell? I had faced down dragons, the undead, and all sorts of other nasty critters the world had to offer. What did I have to fear from asking a simple question?

"I was wondering," I said with a hard swallow, "If you'd be willing to accompany me to the ball." I said it so fast that it came off very clipped.

Gods, I thought, what in the nine hells am I doing?

Trianna

It was a moment before Trianna replied. Whatever she had been expecting, it wasn't this.

Then she smiled at Ramas and it seemed a bit relieved. "I would appreciate that," She said, leaning over and giving his hand a squeeze.

"I know they are elves but...as I said, I am a simple wood elf and...well, the elves that live here are a different kind from us. I never was good in high society and I am afraid I was not looking forward as much as I should have to going."

Her smile broadening, softening her face further, she added,"I would be much more comfortable going with someone whom I trust and consider a friend. Thank you."

Turning to Tana, she gave a laugh,"And it looks as if you will be accompanying two girls instead of one, isn't that right?"

I squeezed Trianna's hand back and laughed at her good humor.
"I guess I do have two dates. I suppose that means I should try to look my absolute best," I said with a chuckle. "I'll leave you girls for the moment. I have to get ready. Be back just before the ball begins."

I made my way over to the door. I looked over my shoulder and smiled back at Trianna with soft eyes. "Thank you." With that, I was out the door and walking with a bit of a swagger in my walk. I was feeling very good and I knew it was showing.

I approached my door, my eyes darted to the left of me. I had that feeling that I was being watched. I decided it was nothing, or at the very least a security ward as I entered my room to prepare.

Cali

"You know, Yris, we're just at the first relic thing of seven- this is going to be a long long long long... long long longlonglong trip." I finished with a laugh. "But I imagine you're right- he seemed pretty happy that I was even alive, surely he won't want to keep me around all the time. I annoy myself sometimes, surely I'd grate on his nerves... and heaven help him if he wants to train me to be a princess."
I stood, smoothing the lines on my skirt as I looked down at myself. "You think this is okay? I didn't ask him if he was going to let the cat out of the barrel tonight."
I felt a moment of shock come on me- I could handle raging sea demons and deadly villins of the evil gods but danged if my own father tripped me out. Rolling my eyes at myself, I took a deep breath.
"I'm sorry. Here I am falling all over myself like an untrained whelp. I know how to act like a lady so I'm going to do it. Is there anything you need me to do tonight or you need help with Yris?"

Yrismir

Yrismir stood up, and took off the hooden cloak, draping it over his chair. He refilled his teacup, and walked over to the window. He ran his free hand over the metal of his breastplate, thinking. He turned back to her, and quickly downed the last of the tea.

"Actually, yes. I need to go back into the crypts tonight. I have a funny feeling your grandfather was a lot older than he would have us think."

He looked at the door to his room, and then at her. He smiled. "Well, I told you if you stuck with me you'd find your heritage, didn't I?"

Cali

I laughed and moved to pull Yris into my arms, hugging him tightly.
"Aye you did. I've now got a father to learn about and teach about me. Should be interesting. Just long as they don't make me stay here- have you seen how frivilous most of the stuff in here is? Not very practical at all. Hey- why are you laughing like that? So I'm not big on the 'pretty just because' things the elves are."
After I stopped laughing myself, I moved to a more serious subject. "You're right- I think we'll end up back in the tomb tonight. As for my grandda- who knows. I imagine we'll find out in due time, like everything else has been thus far. So- you going to escort me to the dance or should I go see if I can hunt up a date?"
I asked the last with a smile in my eyes.

Trianna

Trianna looked at Tana with a smile. "Well, it seems we shall both have an escort to the ball, Tana. I suppose that that means we have to look our very best. Come here and I will do up your hair and then I will see if I have an adornment for your neck. You will look beautiful."

As the girl sat down in front of Trianna, she scooped up her hair and began brushing it out, talking to her as she did, thinking outloud.

"Ramas is a very nice man, isn't he? It surprises me how much he knows of the elvin ways. He seems to love this land just as much as I do."

Carefully taking out the tangles, she brushed Tana's hair until it shone.

"There is a sadness there, though," She said with a sigh,"That he cannot bring himself to give up for some reason." She shook her head and began to curl Tana's hair, pinning it back so that the curls cascaded down her shoulders and around her face but were out of her eyes.

"Love is a very powerful thing, Tana. It can move mountains and make the impossible happen. But when you lose that love...or it is taken from you...it can have the opposite effect...it can destroy a person from the inside out."

Trianna now began to pin tiny jewels into Tana's hair so that it sparkled with every move the girl made.

"And no one can make that go away. No one but him. He must decide to give up the hate toward the person who stripped him of that love. What is done, is done. But holding anger and hatred for someone who has already met with justice...does nothing but destroy the person with those feelings."

Standing Tana up and having her twirl around so that she could see her handiwork, Trianna smiled in pleasure.

"Yes, you look very beautiful. You will have everyone's eye. And do not be afraid of that for no one will harm you as long as Ramas and I are around."

Growls gave a deep growl and Trianna shook her head. "No, My Friend, you cannot come. A ball is no place for you."

Growls gave an even lower growl and Trianna sighed. "Very well. You may stay by the guards in the entrance hall...and Tana and I will bring you food. I know you have said you would protect her too but we must follow some protocol!"

Looking at the door that Ramas had left by, Trianna shook her head, she could not get the man or his sadness from her mind.

"May the Gods bless you to find the peace you so need," She murmured and then stood up.

"Well, I think we are ready for our handsome escort to come and take us to the ball. What do you think, Tana?"

Yrismir

Yrismir smiled at her, and walked to the door, openning it with a bow. "I'd love to escort you to the ball, M'Lady. But before you go bashing your elvin heritage, I'd stop and ponder how much of this you inherit, and how much it's likely to be worth."

He winked at her, and took her arm in his, taking her down to the ball. He though momentarilly about his cloack, but decided he didn't care what happened. Besides, he was guarding the Elvish Heir now, wasn't he?

Tela had parted ways with the old one, and the pack. She thanked them for their help, and was sorry she had been unable to help them find the missing pup, but promised them that she would keep an eye out for him on her journay.
Looking ahead of her she sighed, the nutral zone. Now all i need to do is seek out the wise woman, and pray she will help me find the awncer's i seek.

Garin kept himself well hidden, he had always hid from wolves he did not recognize. He would follow the woman into an area he was quite familur with, the neutral zone. He had spent much of his uncursed life traversing this area, he never liked it but it was nessacary. As she parted ways with her companions he watched her and shadowed her movements. His own keen senses seeking danger. He tried to keep his scent masked from her but to no avail. Still there was something different about this one, she was no ordinary wolf.
