The Seven Keys.

Just as goven grabbed the sword to take it from the body, an abbaration of the body came up with it, and then much to everyone's surprise it spoke in old elvish, "YOU are NOT the chosen for this blade... YOur blood does not match mine... ... WHO ARE YOU?! WHY DO YOU DISTURB MY SLUMBER?!"

The sword became liquid like and slipped between Goven's fingers. THe king's body then stepped out of the tomb and then solidified when it hit the floor of the tomb; it took up an old fighting stance. Suddenly it turned and faced Goven "You are an intruder among my sleeping place.. do you know whom you disturb.. theif?!"

Cali

I stared at Tildir in puzzlement before just saying it. "You knew my mother didn't you? Quite well, I'd imagine. Least better then I ever had a chance to."
The look on his face said this was true and so much more.
"Ah, so no normal man's bastard am I," I whispered softly, toying gently with the locket I wore. My hand trailed to my ear, brushing back a lock of hair that was returning to its normal color in this odd environment, a rich voilet. "Still... wouldn't have thought I was anything elfin."
For some reason, I wanted to talk to Yris... didn't think Tildiir would take that to well though so I didn't speak up, merely leaned against a table, wondering why the three Fates were being so insane this eve.

"Your mother .... she was the best thing I knew... what I didnt understand .. was why she dissappeared?... Why couldnt she wait for me.. I looked for her everywhere .. I asked the Wise One.. and She spoke in riddles .. I simply never could find her.. I ... I never ..even ... knew ..that she was carrying... she ... she simply disappeared.." Tildiir turned away and and took a deep breath. Closing his eyes he thought of their last evening together and smiled he had made so many promises and told her that he would finda way for them to be together.. even if it meant .. giving up the throne..

He had determined to tell the council to do what they wished with their stupid laws and sanctions.. it simply didnt make any sense. .. Why did it matter that the elvin line had to be pure.. it wasnt as though.... she wasnt.. pure.. just different.... she was special.. that was why she had been a guard... she trained with the great ones... but .. he wanst allowed to have her.. it was the most pompous thing .. and when he finally convinced the council that he would step down and his sister could take the throne.. Cali ... had dissappeared...

Tildiir turned, "I know this means nothing to you.. but I would have taken care of you .. had I but known .. I was told she had been killed.. ..I couldnt find hers.. though and the Wise one ... she said... it was best to accept her absence.. I wish to get to know you better.. that is if you wish to learn about me..."

He looked her over and noticed the whip .. now that he knew who she was .. he knew that weapon..well... "That was hers you know... she had the ability to manipulate the elements.. depending on what it was she thought of.. "

Goven bowed, stepping on shattered glass, letting it crinkle around his step.
"Yes, my lord. You are my king, or rather, you once were my king. Great and legendary were your feats, but you died. Now, you are a ghost, keeping a most valuable treasure in your tomb. One that the gods themselves want to end a quest my colleagues and I are on."
He motioned, and the ogre moved behind the ghost. taking the huge battle axe from off his back.
"I am not of your blood, no, but then neither are my friends. But, we do need that sword. I thought that might be the one, you would be helping us greatly if you turned it over nice and quiet... if not..."
Tork was ready to attack, on Goven's command, as Goven took off the black velvet of his staff, seeing the crackle of dark lightning around it as it touched the air of the tombs.
"If not. I believe we're going to have to do things the hard way..."
He stood in ready position, the staff out and waiting.

The apparation of Peloor looked at the Goven talking.. it seemed these were not the ones he had to wait for.. sighing.. it was his duty to make sure the item went into the right hands, so .. he did what most would not expect.. he smiled, "Then with my pleasure.. I will have to rid you of your need for the holy key.."

Nexus looked at goven and saw the staff he had prepared.. it was amazing. She smiled.. this was her field of study and if she knew correctly then all they had to do was distroy the apparation.. "Goven give me soem time.. I need to consult with my goddes.. I belive I know how to rid this thing.."

She turned and concentrated calling her goddess.

Cali

I looked at this man before me, watched part of his heart melt after so long. How could I deny him? Though had I never felt the lack of a father, my uncle filling that role well... I had always wondered, wanted to know.
His comment on my whip drew my hand to it. I flicked the binder off and let fire fill it, careful not to burn the carpet though. Recalling the image on the locket I cast it into the air before me, whip snapping with the twists and turns.
"All I've ever been able to call with it was fire, so I've called it a fire whip," I said as the flames lingered in the air longer then they would have in my homeland... well where I was raised at least.
"And... I... I don't blame you. For not raising me, you know. I had a good childhood," I said, looking away, trying to find the words. "Okay, perhaps a king wouldn't think that being one of the Rouge Queen's Own is a good life, but I learned a lot, always had food when I needed it and knew I was loved. Couldn't have asked for much more given the circumstances. I, perhaps it is cruel to say this but I always wondered what my mother and father were like. I guess most orphens do. But all I had to clue me in were my whip and tatoo on my back. Least I think its a tatoo or birthmark or something."
I didn't know whether I should hug Tildirr or not. In a way I was half afraid- what was this about councils saying he was forbidden from my mother.
"What was my mother, if you could tell me. From what you say, and how I look, I don't imagine she was a pure-blooded elf."

Cecilia and Lucia

ooc:anyway guys, ill try to be posting every day from now on ok?^-^,ive had all these problems being organaminized)

Cecilia had given a short shriek, silenced by the elbow digigng into her ribs, thanks to her sister, which forced air past her illusion enhanced pretty lips and silenced her.

Lucia merely watched the exchange, then slipepd up to stand behind Goven and slightly to the left,Cecilia following after a moments grumbling, her terror of the apparation forgotten at the anger of getting elbowed by her Dear sister.

"Lord Goven?".Lucia asked polietly, laying a pale, unchanged hand on his shoulder."If you would permit me to assist you?"she smiled faintly and a soft bluish tint shimmered around her form, gently lapping against Goven,a ready source of energy.

"Just in case of course"She smirked and looked up at the apparition, then looked over at her sister.Cecilia returned the smile.

"I thought kings were supposed to be tall and handsome, this wretch looks tiny and decreipt."Cecilia joked, earning a soft chuckle form her sister before they turned serious again.

"Rid us of this? I'll tell you how to rid us of this thing. We simply destroy it."
Goven could feel the tingles of energy behind him. It was nice to know it lay at his disposal, one could never be too careful when fighting the unkown paranormal.
Although, in the end, it would just be a fight between the king, and himself. Something he was looking forward to. The last battle had made him come out for revenge.
"My dear sir, it has been a pleasure," He called upon the ancient tongue, letting the staff ricochet out power, circling around the entity and soaking up inside of it. Dark tentacled magick, the old ways of destruction, an ancient spell that he learned from the drow, one that would send an ordinary man to his knees.
He wondered what it would do to a king...
Tork sat ready, behind the beast, stopping only for Goven's command. Goven waited too... to see just how a ghost could fight.

I sat meditating in my room several hours following the business in the crypt. I was trying to figure out what those damn riddles meant. I was never good at figuring that sort of stuff out. Frankly, it was way beyond me. I was better at the physical stuff, fighting with large critters, breaking down a door, or going toe to toe with another swordsman. That was where I excelled. I wondered if the Gods had chosen me for this ordeal for that reason. That seemed to be all I was good for. That and my ship. If I was chosen solely because I had a good boat I would be very upset.

I finished my meditation without any new answers. "From my blood comes the wielder of the key." That obviously means that someone from Peloor's bloodline would be the wielder of the key. But who? Ellie didn't seem to be right for it. Tana, I still didn't know what role she had to play, but there was no way she was one of Peloor's line. That'd be like Yrismir trying to pass himself off as a Vae. I was completely stumped as to who the wielder was to be. I was certain the champions of evil didn't possess the wielder. I didn't recognize any one of the ones we fought as elven royalty. I Lan had made sure I studied up and new my elven nobles.

All this thinking was beginning to frustrate me. I wondered what the others were doing. More accurately, I wondered how Trianna was dealing with her castle surroundings. As a wood elf, she couldn't be too happy being cooped up in a castle even if it was of elven make. I figured I might as well go see how she was adjusting. It would kill a couple of hours until the ball.

I had placed my armor and my sword in the closet near the foot of my bed. I hadn't changed my clothes since I had left the Whisper. I opted for a simple pair of black trousers and a white shirt along with some black boots. I attached my sword to my belt and left my room towards where Trianna and Tana were staying.

It wasn't a long walk, despite the size of the castle and I was there quickly. I found their quarters on the west end of the castle. I knocked on the door and waited for it to open.

Filled with so much emotion .. TIldiir knew not what to do .. All the things he had ever dreamed of .. nothing was more precious and wonderful to him .. as a life remembrance of his love. "YOur.. mother.. " he started to pace nervously.. "How to explain what your mother was like...she was .. special.. and to be honest .. she never quite explained her origins.. the one person who could give you that information would have been her mentor.. at the sacred isle... "

He turned to face Cali.. "I wish for you .. after what quest of yours is fulfilled.. to come stay with me .. if you will have me.. that is .. in your life... I .. would love that .." as if makinga motion to hug her.. he attempted not knowing how it would be recieved..

*******

Deep in Yris's meditation of the tea.. a voice is heard.. a sweet voice.. one from a child .. come find me .. it whispers and the sounds swirl in your head.. please.. come find me...

Disturbing you from your rest.. a knock is heard upon your door. A servant holding a silver platter with a streched skin on it .. floded in a very familiar fold.. one you know to be from the nuetral zone.. it reads:
YOu are needed for the council.. a grave matter needs to be decided .. we are in need of your guidence.. oh holy one.. Please.. we implore you.. come to our lands.. they call your name ..

Cali

I heard him out, wondering how he could not know what she was but I put that aside. Love makes one blind sometimes.
He mentioned me staying with him after the quest was over, making catch my breath, looking at him, eyes wide in surprise.
"But... I'm a Rouge! A thief, a player, a pirate," I protested. "I'm not... I don't know how to be... I mean... "
He moved to hug me, a tentative, hesitant motion.
I tossed the rest of my reservations away and returned the hug tightly, knowing for the first time in my life what it is like to hug one's father. It was one of the defining moments of my life, I'd later write.
Tears fell from my eyes in that moment, a rarity for me.
My whip flared to life without my order, a comforting warmpth at my back, almost as if someone else were there, embracing my father and I.
***
An hour's time later found me leaving Tildiir to change for the ball. I didn't know if he was going to "announce" me as his daughter or not.
I wanted to talk to Yris, let him know that I was still continuing the quest with the party, no matter my parantage.
I set off in search of him after cleaning myself up enough to be presentable for the ball.

Yrismir

Yrismir dismissed the servant, and paced around his room, rereading the note and growling to himself. They wanted him back, again! An emergency. Bah, what could be an emergency? They were supposed to be able to deal with this stuff. If one coudln't, alone, they would simply have a council. And no information, of course, that would be too much to ask for.

He crumpled up the note, and threw it across the room with a yell. He grumbled back to his tea, restraining himself, determined to enjoy his tea.

How had they known he was here?

Cali

I heard Yris' yell, rather hard not to recognise it after all, and dashed to his room on cat-quiet feet.
I listened at the door for a moment- tea drinking? What?
I knocked from the far side of the door, ready to leap further away if warented. I didn't know what he'd yelled for. Could still be bad despite the drinking noises.
I called in, "You okay Yris?"

Peloor smiled.. simply smiled.. " do you not understand what I am ??? Your tricks .. cannot harm those that do not stand in front of you.. " He then moves back and closes his eyes.. and says a few words.. the sword in his hands disappear and in place of it .. appears a very thick falcen (ooc: big brother of the scimitar .. ) clasping it with both hands it splits into two ..

he then begins to whirl in circles almost like a dance. .. moving back and forth .. to a point where you are unable to see where he is .. ( if you know dnd think phase spider like) suddenly out o fhte blue .. he hits Goven's ogre in the collar and shoulder.. creating a great deal of pain and injury to him.. and swirls back .. in almost a jumping motion..

*******

Nexus continues to pray and then slowly open her eyes and then looks at the ghost.. and casts her spell. "the ghost looks at her and is surprised.. his fading into and out of this realm .. stops and he becomes more solid..

Nexus then steps back and closes her eyes once more .. to prepare her next spell

Snider recognizing the movements of the ancient king.. he exclaims, "he's a shadow dancer... whatch out .. dont let him into any shadows.. "

Just as Peloor enters into a shadow under the crypts and disappears only to appear behind snider and hits against his armor plate .. causeing his armor to crack slightly .. internal damage... pretty bad..

Snider coughs a bit of blood out and spits it to the ground.. dumb flimsy elves I'll teach you to attack me .. he then slips into the shadow as well.. as deadly of an assasin that he is .. the shadows are what he knows best.

Nexus then casts another spell upon the weapon that ogven has.. "this might help you to him him .. when he is in that shadow .. and not in this plane .. you might still be able to destrpy it."

Tana hears the knock on the door and goes to open the door. Already dressed in her gball gown she smiles shyly at Ramas .. "oh come in .. sorry to make you wait so long.. I think Trianna is still dressing but Im not sure... " She scratched on growl's neck.. feeling slightly afraid. The new area was making her scared.. she had no idea what to make of it..

"We're playing with shadows... are we? Tricks of your own, I see."
Goven reached back, letting his staf swirl around the groun, it left a bright trail in its wake, starry golden lights that spun and spun over and over around themselves, moving out slowly against his little circle.
"Solar flare..." Goven growled, and at once light burst forth in the room. It shonme in every place, every facet of space within the tomb. Goven had to wince himself, as this consumption of the sun penetrated even the smallest crevace.
"There we go, my lord. Even territory. Perhaps now, we can end this."
He stood back, his staff crackling and gathering power. Mists seeping into the staff as he prepared his next spell, something powerful and fierce.
But, it wasn't his attack. Tork, bloody and pissed off, screaming out only God know's what in rage and pain, struck his axe down with a fierce velocity that could only come from pain and torture of being caught by surprise. It wasn't the ogre's fault he had been hurt, but he took this offense as if he had failed in battle.

I smiled at Tana. "Never mind the wait, when you've lived with the elves as long as I have you get used to waiting," I said. I saw Growls, at Tana's side. I smiled at him and gave him a slight bow to show respect.

"He certainly seems to have taken a liking to you. So Tana, are you ready to attend your first big royal ball?"

Name: Tela
Race: 1/2 elf 1/2 ??
Hair: dark brown with white and silver strands much like that of a wolf's fur.
eyes: terqoise in color
hight: 5ft"4in" weght: 120lbs slender of build

Unsure of who her parents are. Tela was found near one of the elven villages, and raised by a kindly stranger. She has yet to descover most of her ability's as she has no idea what her parents were. all she has descoverd so far is that she can talk with animal's, and shift into the shape of a wolf.
She has had manny dicussions with a druid friend of her foster mothers who has visisted from time to time, and has been going to the village elders and anyone around who may have some idea as to who her parents were, but all she has gotten is the run around.
Sitting in the woods talking to some of the aniamals around her, Tela's only acutall friends other than her family.
It is so frustrating and confusing, The villagers wont even look me in the eye any more nor will they awncer my questions aobout my past. What am i supposed to do?

An old looking wolf had wandered over to the young girl talking about her plight to the others.. he smiled.. it seemed the young one was lost.. perhaps he could help her..

walking towards Tela the wolf spoke in a rough voice, "Child why do you hide here.. we cannot tell you what you need to know.. whom do you seek.. perhaps we have heard of this person.."

Lucia and Cecilia

THe two continued to watch, silently holding their energy in a reserve inc ase anything went wrong for Goven.

Lucia looekd to teh right, the entrance to the cave and cursed silently, seeing that the sun spell did not extend into the darkened hallway.A quick wave of ehr hand created a semi-tough illusionary barrier of light, cutting off any escape.

Cecilia looked over at Snider and gently flicked out with a hand, the glow around her dimming considerably as it siphons out to heal him.

Thank you old one... my mother Levan spoke of a Wise one that i should seek, to find the awncer's to my question's. Levan's friend taught me a little of druid magic, so that i may protect myself, could you and your pack lead me in the right direction, for a time?

THe wolf howled out loud.. "You are not the only one searching for the wise one ... long have been the days where our clan has seen the wise one.. we know of an offspring.. of the wiseone.. we seek his guidence... if you wish to travel with us.. then welcome."

I thank thee again old one and gladly join you and your clan, who is it that ye seek?? Mayhap i have heard of them?? ]

Slowly Tela changed into the fourm of a sleek silvery color'd wolf, with Terquise eyes. The change took very little time as it was one of the many skills she had master'd of the druid arts, she had been taught by Levan. Maily because it was a natural ability much like speeking with the animals was.

As they headed off towrds the newtral zone, hoping to find the ones they both sought. Tela had thought's of her mother Ivanan and hoped that even tho she told Tela to seek the wise woman that she new Tela loved her, and understood that she needed to know where she had come from.

Yrismir

Yrismir stood up, and went to the door, opening it slowly to allow Cali in.

"I'm fine. Just,...very angry. The High Circle opf the Neutral Zone sent me a message. I don't know how they knew I was here, but they want me to return. Seems they have some problem, which they foolishly think I could solve for them. They're all well-versed in the knowledge they need for their positions, but they seems to think I'm the only one who can help them. Fools."

He shook his head, and sat down, sipping at his tea. "Would you like to join me for some tea? It's quite good, actually."

The old wolf led the way toward the elven capital.. she had heard other speak of a pup of the wise one.. they would seek that pup out... on the way the old wolf felt another familiar presence.. perhaps .. it was someone from long ago she was not sure.. only knew that he was someone .. she knew..

The wolf did not say anything, but waited to see what would happen whether the other would approach them.
