Yes, but not during Lent.

Shameful Confession
I have had most all forms of paganism ruined for me for the same reasons why things like Hinduism hasn't. It's not proposed by social rejects and those burned by Christians/Christianity. Never met a pagan/Wiccan who didn't explain themselves by kicking Christianity in the nuts, standing on its back, and whining "Lookat me, Lookat me... I don't have to make sense because I'm special!"

Oh, and the worst thing I've ever done is cheat on my fiance' (at the time) with some Panimanean girl in a car in the driveway while my girl was inside bawling about her dying grandfather... she even came outside and sat on the porch, but couldn't see what was going on in the car. So I slipped out the side, looped around the house, picked her up and gave her a hug and put her back inside and went back out to the car until dawn.

How come nobody's so concerned about all those wasted, unfertilized eggs? Why is it just the sperms that matter?

Oh, they ARE concerned ... if they're about to be "destroyed" for stem cell research. If they just pass through menstruation, it's okay.

I heard you say exactly that sentence when you were talking loudly on your bluetooth headset the other day.

I was under the impression that they were concerned about unfertilized eggs, but only when a chemical (pill) is used to jeopardize them.

It's all hoky poky to me, babe. My faith doesn't have nearly that many rules.

*throws hands in air and gives up*

I confess, the Roman Catholics came in dead last on the list on my "What Religion Are You?" quiz. I was the kid happily riding my bike while the rest of the neighborhood went to CCD.

You know, Vella & I have this whole birth control issue licked.

We'd make great Catholics.

Mine, too -- and I was born/raised Catholic. However, I used to skip out of church early and go to the neighbor boy's house for oral sex. :nana:

Seems a lot of girls are doing that these days, provided they've taken the abstinence pledge. The abstinence girls are 6 times more likely to engage in blowjobs and 4 times more likely to engage in anal sex than the non-pledgers.

Perhaps Catholics have more oral and anal sex than those who use contraception???

Hmmm ... can't say for sure. I was never truly one of the "faithful." I'm delighted to say that the brainwashing didn't stick. (Orgasms are WONDERFUL for deprogramming.)

It's actually an incredibly effective method when followed as proposed with calendar and strict adherence. (Takes the spontaneous & fun right out of the whole deal, but it can be quite effective.)

It is better than not taking any precautions at all but it's a lot more effective if you use a condom also.

Some people will use any excuse.

I don't need to use birth control. I rely on my personality.

True confession: I m Keyser Soze.

Of course, now that I've told you such, you'll all have to die...

I'm not Catholic, but doesn't it have to do with the same reason you are not supposed to masturbate (men in particular)? Isn't there a Bible passage about not wasting "seed"? And isn't the theory that spilling the seed in unfertile ground (using contraceptives) is wasting the seed?

Did I dream this? And if so, then why?

Edited to add my shameful confession: I don't recycle as conscientiously as I should. :( And I stole a book on a dare in college. And I kept a cell phone that a guy bought me for a year after we broke up…and I used it and let him pay the bill. But he told me to!

Does anyone recieve absolution from these confessions? If so, I have a lot of writing to do.

I used the pulling out method. Both my kids were planned. Birth control made me sick and I'm alergic to condoms. I decided when to have my kids and had them both right when I wanted so . . it works for some people. I'm fixed now though, no worries.

I tried the 'no thank you' method.
I have two kids.
Guess it didn't work.
